Thank you for clarification on the shifting levers and what there functions are, I am a 63 year old man and my deceased father had a CJ2a and I always wondered what all the different levers on the floor did, so thank you again for clarifying!!!
Hi and thanks for the video. It's great to see a "legend" running and doing well. I have a 46 CJ2A that I was with my parents when they bought it. Still 6 Volts and has the "go devil" engine like yours. Looks like you did some great work! Again, thanks for the video and best of luck!
An absolute beautiful restoration . Enjoy . The transfer case should not be engaged in 4wd on hard pavement . The data plate on the dash clearly states it.
Just bought a 71 says Willy on the title pulled over to a gas station and the gas nozzle wouldn't go far enough into the pipe and the gas kept on spitting back out. What's the fix? The gas tank input is driver side rear and seems to be to shallow. It's a four cylinder, and man I couldn't barely get that sucker to do forty anything over she started making a whiney/scream type of noise so I listened...
It 1947 im pretty sure because the last year they put the tire on the back was 1947 but you could have installed it if you did were did you get the attachment from
Its a CJ body as well It has a tailgate, no tool boxes behind the rear tires, the transmission hump is different for the T90 vs. the ww2 T84 And ot had the cutout for the fuel neck on the side vs. Under the drivers seat I see alot of guys just swap out the front half of the jeep and paint it up Also, the real jeeps didnt have locking hubs, they were full time live axles that were engaged by the transfer case Sorry for an 8 month late reply, I started restoring a jeep and now my feed is all jeeps
Kyle H I’ve owned (and still do) Jeeps since the mid 1960’s and this thing is, well as you indicated some of us think we know what it is but we’re still not quite sure. I see at least 3 different vehicles cobbled together here. I had a Jeep shop for over 2 decades and this thing takes the cake.
Sabdo, the wartime ford GPW and Willy's mb were identical, same grille and basically everything else, this jeep in thee video is a post war jeep with a wartime grille. your jeep, if it has seven slots, it is a post war CJ series.
Bottom line this thing is some weird conglomeration of parts. MB’s stopped production at the end of WW2 and the 2A started in 1946. I still have my dads 1943 GPW and it has the stamped grill, also every GPW Ford Jeep has either the word Ford on it (block, head ect) or the letter F. Every nut and volt! All of the MB’s and GPW’s had a full float rear axle and of course no 60’s vintage Warn hubs. There’s a medical term for this thing but it’s not PC currently.
There is no said or estimated value for a Willy's jeep depend what condition and how stock it is also the year and is it civilan or millitary, Hope it helps
What kind of price do these willys have? One like in the video? A fair market? I've got a 48 in just as good of shape as one in video and can't find a true market value? Any help?? Ty

Awesome video man! Videos like these keep my head up when I look in the garage and stare at a frame :S
Wow that’s one well loved Jeep.

Where can you find parts? I have a 48 as well, and I’m about to start doing a restoration on it.

Thank you, it is much appreciated
Very Cool!!
Wow, I love this thing. I just bought one with some friends, and we plan on doing work to it, needs some minor repair
👍
Do you have issues with mounting the tire and spare gas can on the tailgate?

Trey Baker75 tire was an added feature to match the MB.
Do you have issues with the mouting of the Windshell adjusting Arm. A detailed one? Please.
Perfect drawing
What part of Montana are you from
So it's a 48 2a chasis and drivetrain and a mb body, correct?

Fuel tank under the driver's seat!
Yes, not as unsafe as people claim
@@kyleh3615 I have a 67 cj that's where mine was mounted didn't hold alot so I got a fuel cell and it's between the frame rails
No heat.
How to put the three small gear lever
You're talking about this jeep like it's for sale.
You are correct. I originally made this video when I sold the jeep so online buyers could see it. Didn't realize it'd get so many views.
@@MechanicalMike if you don't mind my asking how much did it sell for
Love it
This is not Willys MB... But it is a Willys GPW (Ford made). You can tell by the number of Grill Line. MB has 7 line Grill, and GPW has 9.
Uhh, I just counted on my mb, and compared it to a GPW, the amount of holes on the grill are the same.

It’s a modified cj2a it says it in the title
Price ??

Mine Hotchkiss M201topspeed is 65 km/ph
👌👏
Im loved up very nice
Mist be great to own that
Run 3 cylinder !!
Restore it to what they are, not what they are not, just another want to be. It's not military so why make it military.
MrJeep75 mine will be military too. Its more fun that way....
James McClaren more bubba Jeep's
It's a CJ with an MB grill, so what? As long as it doesn't have 4 doors, it's a real jeep
Follow my arbitrary rules... mrahhhhh. Lol.
Nah, do what you want, especially with a Jeep. Part of what makes them great.
That is an mb not a cj2a
It's a CJ2A body and chassis, with an MB grill and other matching features
B M it's a want to be MB, just another bubba fucked cj2a
MrJeep75 you sound fun at parties.
