Mammoth Mountain has the best snow anywhere! Its an awesome place to ski, it is fluffy dry snow, so much so that when its snowing u can literally see the beautiful formation of the snowflakes that are landing and sticking to your ski jacket. If u ever get a chance to hit it when the Pineapple Express blows through, storms from Hawaii, it gets even sweeter.
I've skied Mammoth since the late '60's. It often has the most snow but definitely not the best. They don't call it Sierra Cement for nothing. It's wet and heavy, not dry and light as it's right off the Pacific Ocean.
where would you recommend to go for snowboarding beginners? We're flying from Hawaii. We surf and skateboard but never been to Mammoth for snowboarding. Any adv would be nice :)
Supposing you still haven’t been, Mammoth has great terrain for all levels, discovery lift at main lodge is great for beginners because it only has green circles.
Jacob Davalos it’s the bottom half of dragons back, I accidentally went down this instead of ricochet and I would consider it a hard black, not a double black

damn skiers fucking up the mountain.. cant wait til I accidentally go down that mountain and its road bump central all the way down. hhaha
