at around the 12:20 mark I refer to myself as the "check-raiser" rather than just the "raiser". Not sure why I did that, it's incorrect but doesn't really have a bearing on the hand
Unacceptable! Completely took me out of the flow of the vlog narration experience! I am so tilted...I need to take a walk... Does Lily have a tilt tip on this?
Jaman, I needed to see this so bad. I've been catching bad beats this month, but I've also been playing poorly too: calling light, not 3 and 4 betting when I know I should, etc. Thanks man
Your videos are brilliant Jaman. You mix serious poker with some top comedy and brilliant music. I’m hoping I can bring some of what I’ve picked up here across to pond to vegas in September. Keep it up man!
8:40 rec opens on the button, and you find 99 in the SB. Mandatory 3bet, blow those other two out, torch the rec button, profit. Over easy like eggs on Sunday morning.
The edit when the guy was tank thinking when you had the 99s was fire. Added intensity to the vlog which is something none of the other vloggers really do
Jaman, your vlogs are outstanding! Your graphics, editing, music, narration, hand selection, etc. are interesting in every way. You know how to make us feel the drama, heartbreak and joy of playing poker. Personally, and most important to me, I can clearly see that my personality and bankroll are NOT cut out for this level of poker! I always think of moving up but the idea of being raised $400 or "ALL IN" when I have $2K are severe punches to my cowardly gut. Thanks for doing such a great job and you should have won 1st place in the vlog competition. Carry on!
Thanks man! No one is cut out for it to begin with. I remember losing $50 in a live 1/2 game in st louis and walking back to my car in total despair when I first started playing. Recently in a game I was down $4k and left down $500 and walked out like I had just won the showcase showdown! You build up a tolerance over time :)
Another great one Jaman. Best draw of the vlog….an actual parking space at the Wynn. The hardest thing to get lately. It used to be easy finding a spot there….
Doing the things... Appreciate your high quality videos: music, graphics, animation at times, good jokes and commentary. Don't hurt yourself jogging, big guy!
That 4-bet with KQwas one of the higher level moves Ive seen you pull, especially at the higher stakes. Kind just glossed over it, but nice one man! Thats a rare spot to win in!
10:20 The movie, film-effect, sepia tone during the straddle tank is glorious. And if you 3bet pre, you don't have to fade the straddle folding the best hand at the river 😝
14:10 I *loved* the 4bet with KQs. I thought to myself that on my (new, freshly minted) A-game, I'd fold or 4bet depending on a thing or two. You've given me courage to try that sh*t in live fire conditions.
I love how RainDelay (is that a mixed-cap thing?) still rocks the redneck small curved hat brim. Like you gotta go to Kentucky or something find one of those.
That's a world-class poker video if I ever saw one... PS. I have your hoodie, I need your card protector. It's not with your merchandise yet. When can I get one...
20:50 Oh sure, bottom set is normally a good time for YOU. Me, I was playing on ACR just now in a high roller 11 cent buyin tournament and hit bottom set with pocket 22 on a flop that looked a lot like that one. The other dude had KK, so...
17:27 I can't believe Barabes didn't catch this. A3 is totally counterfeited by the paired 4's. Modulo CO having 33, this card might as well be an Uno Rainbow +4.
This title has me personally attacked. Also good self-reflection. I realized recently but this VLOG did hammer it home that after I get felted once I just stop 3-betting correctly and call more than I should.
12:30 I don't know the outcome, but I predict you're going to be shown a monster, and he was waiting for a safe turn card, e.g. putting you on QJ and wanting to fade an A/9 before piling it in. Now I'll press play.
I'm days late but in the biggest hand of the night is there any hand other than Ah10h that your opponent could have had there? During the hand I thought AhQh but the river J on board 2 would have chopped the pot.
6:30 pretty sure this is a mandatory 3bet if you're going to play it. Folding is fine, but if you're gonna dance, make the music louder. You don't want the BB in, and if you can blow the cold-caller out, it's that much more dead money. IMO, YMMV.
Would you say that the majority of these plays also translate to 1/3 live games? I typically play them ABC because players are so sticky, but would love to know your opinion
Nope, at those levels easily the most profitable way to play is just to "have it" and be nitty. They call way to much and the fanciness of any bluff will be lost on them completely
Great video Jaman! It was actually good to see a sample of a session where things went down like a 1-2 no fold ‘em hold ‘em game😉. Glad it turned around. I finally got some rungood last week. I finally figured a thing or two and was reminded of you saying those games were juicy when played correctly. Yep. Made a difference to my bankroll! So thanks for the educational videos. 🫡
16:00 TFW you discover that the opposition is calling 3bets with QJo, out of position. Flags passing cocktail server. "Yeah, coffee please. Lot of it. I may be here a while."

This is my previewing stance on the topic. I’ll update my post viewing stance shortly.I think it’s a little bit of both variance and bad play. I kept getting called light and ending up rivered or someone pulls a runner-runner and I get stacked . It maybe my feeling now just because I just lost like 10 minutes ago but hey who knows.
What do you think villain had on hand u won the 8k pot with AK? AQ or AJ hearts? Feels like he picked up a combo draw on the heart turn, still he played it sort of odd but …… you won!
@@TheDrawingDeadVlog when it opened, it was probably the best poker room in the country, then COVID hit, eventually came back at about 25% capacity, cut down hours, raised the rake to $10, a total mess run by the powers that be in this state, I can't say enough bad things about gambling here to give it justice, a damn shame 😩
3:18 you've been bluffed* here, my friend. Little asterisk: V profile, I cannot take that into account. Nevertheless, the way he played, he wanted you out of hand even on flop!!
11:55 how can AK be good there? Is the opponent just that reckless? Jaman 3-bets pre, calls the 4-bet, and then raises the opponents bet on the flop. Jaman has established that he has a hand that isn't going anywhere. I too put the opponent on at least AK before he mucked. But when mucked, what did he have? Did he go completely nuts with QQ. Did he recklessly bluff QJ of hearts into a player that has shown he has a strong hand, hoping to take it down but having some outs?
That girl who called the preflop raise with 74 was crazy. I had a guy do that to me last week, I had JJ and make it 25 pre and he raises me to 50. I don't like JJ so I just shove for 300 total (playing 1-3 so we both only had 300) and he snap calls. The run out was 4K792 and he says 2 pair, to my confusion I just table my JJ and he shows 79.
if you are playing at a 2/5 game with a $1000 cao and people are opening to 30, do you just act like the game is a 5/10 and open for 30. If not do you just play your game and open for like 15?
I still open for $15 as I'd want to play as deep as possible and there's a big difference bw opening for 3bb vs 6bb. Thay being said, I'd exploit open larger with value as they aren't going to notice and call anyway
