New CV Axle Shaft from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AAC...
This video shows you how to install a rear driver CV axle on your 2002-2005 Ford Explorer. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2002 Ford Explorer
2003 Ford Explorer
2004 Ford Explorer
2005 Ford Explorer

Excellent video. Thank you for the clear, informative and helpful information. I have to do this exact repair
woulda been a good idea to just change the axle seal while it was exposed?
I noticed that axle look a little bit different can you tell me why
very good video and great explanation
Same for 2003 AWD Mountaineer?
Why dont you ever show putting the half shafts back in??
What was wrong with the axle? Why didn't you do your bearings?
Hi, very good video! Thanks. I am working on a Mazda CX7, 2.2 diesel, 2011. I need to replace the cv axle seal in the differential, as it's leaking. I am at the point where I need to get the axle out of the differential. Is the method to remove the axle from the differential same as in your video here? I have tried the prying method, but the axle seems to be stuck pretty good in the differential. Before I move on to the "gentle bonking" with a mallet, I wanna be sure I don't break anything.
Thanks for any help!
/Paul
+@blanka5432 We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
