Correct. I meant to add that. You can see in the wiring diagram that the circuitry routs through both the clutch switch and the brake switch. The vacuum switch on the bronco was a redundant mechanical feature.
I'm hoping to do this on my 89. Annoyingly, the trucks without a tilt column don't have the wiring and slip ring for the cruise buttons. I'm thinking of just putting the buttons on the dash. Does this system not have the switch on the master cylinder?
@@jwmustangman ya door open, key in ignition, and lights on. My Custom trim truck doesn't have the headlight reminder, but higher trim trucks do. There was the option of the mechanical buzzer, and an electronic chime. On my truck it's mounted inside the dash above the go pedal, near where the cruise module would be.
Awesome I'm going Satuday to a junk yard that has a complete truck for the cruise control to put into my 92
Good luck!
That’s pretty sweet! On other vehicles, the clutch pedal will cancel cruise. Does this one? Also, did the brake pedal cancel it?

Damn that's great, got 96 bronco and F150 wish it was crew cab,put manual in bronco try to get rev lights to work mow
Could be back up light switch on transmission.

I’ve not done this exact swap on an 87 to 91. On my 92, the master cylinder switch is not present. It does not seem to affect the cruise function.
That’s pretty cool.
Hey does your part out bronco have the electronic chime module? I'd like to add that to my 89.
What do you mean by the chime module? Is that the dinger for when the door is open? Lol
