Only at the first part of the video, was thinking the whole time why isn't he riding on his own lane. Realized he was on his own lane when I saw cars and he wasn't crashing into them head first. :P
It looks like a full face motorcycle helment. People wreck on bikes doing 300+kph (drag racing) and walk away fine. It's all sliding. If you hit a car, or anything else then it's probably a death sentence, but if you can slow down from sliding it's just a massive loss of skin (given there's no other protective gear). Honestly a helment is always worth wearing when skating or biking.
If you stare at his legs while watching, you can create an illusion of him going UPHILL instead of downhill. What a trip to see this all while being baked like an apple pie
Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words. I’m really stoked you all love this video. Big thanks to Germain for actually getting me to film something and also chur to the lockdown in NZ for making me edit some footage.
Especially considering how close he got to the curb and the rain gutter with all the accumulated leaves and sticks and shit ready to send him flying if he swerved too far
It would've probably just been annoying not make him completely fall. Longboard wheels are very wide and they're soft so they're not stopped even by pebbles, unlike skateboards
When I watch longboarding videos the guy's almost always surrounded by landscapes. Mountain peaks and valleys that get carved into by the road. Watching you guys fly through an urban setting, tall buildings, construction zones and all makes me very very jealous. Much love from New Jersey.
I wish I had anything close to this level of confidence in any of my skills. Dude straight went 85 kph on a piece of wood with wheels on it in a white t-shirt, jeans, and a helmet. Also 0:40 yikes.
Jon Brooks I’ve fallen going 45-50ish mph with a winter flannel. Yes I still got beat up and bled a bit but I was better off than if I were wearing a thin cotton t shirt.
Riding @ night gives you the benefit of being able to see a cars headlights before you see the car. Street signs are highly reflective. Use that to your advantage. Theres a point of no return during the day. Where you make the decision to go and you just pucker your butthole and look straight ahead hoping theres not a car coming.
I’d like to draw some attention to whoever was driving also, had to do some skilled driving and law breaking of their own to go through the city at those speeds. Bravo to all involved, loved it.
Gotta give you props on this one. Not just the boarding but the location. Right through the damn city and at night too. Loved it! Be safe man. Took a big slide the other day. Still healing. And I wasn’t going near as fast but you should see my face, arms, hands, knee and chest. And I had a helmet on too. My quarantine mask saved my teeth and my face. My helmet saved my skull for sure.
Just ordered my first longboard after debating it. Normally just cruise around on a skateboard but I think I'm more of a longboarder. The streets are so clear!
Got a huge order of new bearings, gloves, and my first full-face helmet. I'm ready to carve up campus with no one around! Good to see ya back, ya crazy man!!
You guys inspired me to but my first longboard and it just arrived today!! Soooo much fun and it was my first time. Thank you for these amazing videos💪💪
Stoked to have you back man, delivering good content as always, man I so badly wana skate but this lock down is crap. Keep it real and keep em coming......
Mad. I only just discovered this was a thing here in NZ yesterday surfing youtube thanks to the lockdown. I'm a fat old guy who hasn't skated since 89, but this is amazing to watch. :)
I was thinking that and you would be suprised longboards when your going fast enough you dont like stop the wheel just goes over it like it's nothing it happens so fast
It was dust and dirt during the transition from the old to new pavement that I woulda been worried about. If you go into it to learning to hard that dusty dirt on fresh blacktop can be like ice. Then before you can even think about correcting it your already gripping the road again while your sideways and getting thrown off
I've never seen anyone board in such an urban area before at those speeds; I guess now's the perfect time with no one driving
In ohio nothings changed its scary people are so blind and are gonna kill themselves
lol my teen years were nothin but this. only a small town called gympie so not too much traffic but plenty of speed haha

And skate boarders too. I'm skating downtown detroit like its a damn playground haha.
It’s all empty, I could rly ride on the highway where I am if I wanted too lol
Ace Tech dt sac empty asf
Yeppers, everyone driving around during the middle of the day, no one during rush hour
yeah maybe i don't know.
im not the only one who paranoid he's gonna crash with a car
Since he's going as fast as a car, if not faster, all he has to do is stay in his lane
Only at the first part of the video, was thinking the whole time why isn't he riding on his own lane. Realized he was on his own lane when I saw cars and he wasn't crashing into them head first. :P
Cars? ..... you see cars coming! ... his arch nemesis: little rock will fuck him up :D
Cars drive on the left in New Zealand
it happens every so often
damn dude, this guy is still alive ? how?
A helment
ehhh behhh This man is going 85 km/h if he falls off he is fucked
@@Ace-mx7rd if you know how to fall then no, you can survive .

3:09 the dodge of that manhole cover was insane
I would have learned to fly right there

Speed wobbles will never make not make my heart skip 3 beats. I hit the road going 35 mph a long time ago, made me learn real quick lol
Dereck Sisco thick wool flannels help a ton against road rash.

His turns are so sharp and sketchy yet he sticks to the road like glue .. awesome content Crunchie
After you do stuff like this, is it even possible to feel real joy again in life?
0:50 made my heart skip a beat. Didn't realise you guys drive in the left lane there
Hell yeah, railing those corners.
3:12 Sketchy blind corner with that car parked there.
@TC This is extremely dangerous to park like that, idk how this is even legal
Tom hahahahaha it’s extremely dangerous to ride the fucking board that fast idk how that’s not illegal. You gotta be dumb
@@tom_from_myspace for real, no way is there any room for a car to stay in that lane.
