There are 2 translation errors this episode:
1. When Megumi said his taste, he said "this person", not "she". He didn't specify a gender here, so the subs made a mistake by using "she" and assuming his sexuality :(
2. Mai said "short legs" not long legs, that's why Nobara got pissed. If she actually said "long legs" then it's a compliment and Nobara has no reason to get mad over it..
Morgan- the old man gakuganji is the Principal of the Kyoto school. Todo and Mai are from the Kyoto schools. Yagi the dark skin man with the shades is the Principal of the Tokyo school where Yuji and Megumi go.

Fun fact: in the manga when Megumi was about to get serious in the fight, Toudou just stood still like he was in shock he didn't run to keep fighting Megumi. They tease Megumi's powers a lot

It's just a prank bro!! Glad you guys are watching this cause I wouldn't have watched it otherwise and it's so good! Some points: I don't think that's Fushiguro's mom, I think that's a girl he liked/likes from his past given the context. Miwa (blue hair fangirl), Mai (mean twin), Tougo (buff guy), and the old principal, are all from the Kyoto Jujutsu school. They just tagged along with the principal for the visit to Tokyo (where our main group is). There are four 2nd year students at Tokyo, we just haven't been introduced to Okkotsu, who is the powerful 2nd year, yet, or any of the 3rd years. That guy at the end is not from their school.

Todou wasn't objectifying women. He was objectfying people. Like he said, type of men would be an acceptable answer too.
If you guys want more background information on some characters the prequel manga is called Jujutsu Kaisen 0 though you might find it under Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College as that is what it was called before. Okkotsu is the main character and he is awesome in my opinion way better than Yuji. It gives more insight on the other second years and Geto as well. Plus it is only 4 chapters so it doesn't take long to read. Anyway great reaction!

I dunno, I find it weird yall thought someone's preference of a gender as objectification.

That is a preference, its literally a feature of someone that you like or is unique, here let me give you the definition:
Objectification
the action of degrading someone to the status of a mere object.
Maybe if toudou was like a woman is only a piece of ass I could get it, but this misinformed way of trying to shame men even "anime men" is disappointing, especially when you guys are 4 women deep on a couch together literally talking about features of characters (men) you like.

Be careful not to watch Season 2 before the theatrical version, as the story is connected.

The subtitles were wrong when Megumi was talking about his type. He didn't specify gender in the manga and the Japanese. The translator admitted on Twitter that they purposely mistranslated it as "she" when he really just said " they". So there's a possibility Megumi is bi or pan.
There is literally not one hint of him being bi or pan thats just a rumor a bunch of fan girls came up with so they can ship him with the male cast .

imma be honest i do think jjk is considerably worse at explaining shit than other shonen. its either said very quickly in passing or information is thrown at you that makes shit confusing unless you already know what happens. obviously now that im way ahead, most of the shit they show makes sense but for a first watch with no prior knowledge, this show is so bad at explaining stuff and unnecessarily confusing.
im not roasting it at all, and yea the girls just missed stuff (which isnt a big deal, if you ever watch stuff with friends its really difficult to pay attention to stuff esp with subtitles). and jjk, like i said, only mentions stuff once and usually moves on to other stuff VERY fast. which makes it really easy to miss shit in group showings. other react channels with groups also have trouble paying attention for jjk
not only the worst of its the author literally ruins almost every character who has potential or they're cool also the mappa ruining jjk season 2 is just but can't say afterall they don't treat their animators too good anyway
