The fact 3600s get violently checkmate reminds me of how deep this game really is.
We are not even 1% of chess
Remember this, when commentators call computer moves perfect all the time..
what about the fact that there are more possibilities in chess than there are atoms in the universe

What I would really like to see is the opposite game, how Stockfisch drew the same opening against lila, like a quick highlighting of the different choices the engines did
Could you maybe compare how the engines play each game in a pair? I feel it could be really interesting to compare see how their approaches differ in the same opening, and how that results in different outcomes
yes please
Can't believe they named a city after the London System
Levy never fails to make true titles
Edit : BRO CHANGED THE TITLE ASDKFDIWKEK
LOL
Levy never fails to fail at stuff
Pin of shame
The fish name is Levy
LOL!!!
17:07 'D5, best move' of course its the best move its stockfish playing
For the record, Leela essentially is AlphaZero. It uses the same network architecture (with some minor optimizations), the same tree search algorithm, and the same training methodology. So unless AlphaZero saw some significant changes the two bots would be identical strength. Likely Leela would be a touch stronger, as it has been trained more.
Except stockfish keeps coming out stronger
@@afuzzycreature8387 Stockfish is the best engine by far. It uses a super clever input structure that was adopted from Shogi networks. The network takes a fraction of the input required for Leela and uses a more expansive (if less efficient) tree search algorithm. This means it calculates significantly more positions than Leela at any given depth when given the same amount of time.
Alphazero is outdate, Leela is alphazero update version.
False
False, while Leela is a modern more powerful engine. They’ve got nothing in common, not the same at all.
In a way Leela is closer to SF than it is to Alpha zero.
Stockfish never fails to analyze a chess game
Yeah totally 😂
Funniest one😂
Not funny the "never fails" comments are so old and not funny
Are these bots Indian or something? 0 awareness
Whoever started this levy never fails to thing is a dangerous person
11:51 that move feels cozy, like king and queen secretly making out during a war
Levi never fails to include stockfish in his videos
Levy
He's Levi from attack on titan, or the italian writer Primo Levi, but he is not Levy from gothamchess
Levi's
It's so funny watching mobile Stockfish trying to analyze full power Stockfish
Stockfish recaps are my favourite content of yours
Guess the Elo on top
14:20 i love how you're basically like "yo shoutout to THAT KNIGHT!"
I dont care who is going to win, I love your recaps of these computer vs. computer games, but (as they play pairs) I would like to see on which move they disagree and what deviation was played in the other game.. thanks for your insights and for making clear what exactly is the starting position they were given :)
For the second edition of your book, I suggest you state clearly that one cannot castle when in check - the explanation on page 8 (english version) is not perfect in this regard (either you or I missed that there) - rest of the book is great, would buy again :)
please show games where Leela beats Stockfish ! BTW your videos are great! :D
My face when Levy says Stockfish played a very high level game: 🗿
Levy is a genius. At this rate eventually people will study enough of those games to play at this level. Levy perfoming analysis on all of these stockfish games is proof of him future proofing his channel. Hes in this for the long run and first person in history to make a full course for students in the future who are playing at 3600. Hes a genius!
Levy never fails to put his stockfish inside me
Would be interesting to see the evaluation from each side (not just the browser stockfish)
But I would totally understand if that would be too much work ;)
And I would also be interested in Leela's wins and I think it would be good to mention if the opening was won by both or only one engine.
Levy should be glad that stockfish and magnus are still playing chess
Levy never fails to speak for himself.
good to see that Stockfish still reigns supreme!

Hey Levy, would you make a video about weird openings again? I LOVED that series so much.
I'd like to see how leela did as well. Really fascinating ideas coming out of engines these days :)
Scrolled the comment section for like 1min, this is the first comment without "Levy never fails to ____"
Thanks 🙏
I think they were basically tied in classical in CCC.
I started to see a pattern in some of the moves we, as humans, dont find natural: If the opponent takes a piece, the bot evaluates whether there is a threat or if that piece can get away. If both of these dont apply the bot finds it more helping to develop first instead of retaking immediately
people (especially those of us below 1000 elo) will ALWAYS take back. It's just human nature. Even if you can calculate out 3-4-5 moves, taking back almost always makes sense, unless you can see it creates an immediate (next move) threat, taking back is just something people do. Being down material makes us nervous.
What I like about LCZero is that the training was distributed and croudsourced. Back in the day, I even contributed some power to training LCZero.
Levy always tenderly touches me with his content 😊
Love your vids!
Levi never fails to make us Stock his Fish

Looks like Gotham survived the duo attack
i defenitely want to see leela beating stockfish as a follow up video.
Levy never fails. You're awesome, man, thank you for all the effort you put into your content!
19:25 i like your pov regarding how stockfish is playing. Stockfish slowly maneuvers its pieces, finds a good spot, protects it, and then puts its attacking piece over there. Also, stockfish loves knight more than bishop or what????
Stockfish GG
It is inhuman to sacrifice a piece so early in the middlegame for some perceived advantage in the endgame.
they Are engines...
Levy’s glasses never fail to help levy see
levy love your videos watching since before you blew up. love ur content.❤❤
This Mr. Stockfish guy is really good! Impressive that a person can destroy a bot like that!
Levi never fails to include chess in his content
He actually did fail to do it one time when he made a short discussing why Tennis referees sound hungover.

Levi here with another banger
I just bought your book, it should arrive this weekend and I can't wait to learn from it
Levy should do the sound and say “chess fans welcome back” when he starts .... I wold love that!
Levi catches fire when he does commentary 🤣
The incredible Queen on B1 move reminds of something my coach once told me: the best way to play your queen us to put them in a secure place where she can be very active at the same time 👏👏👏

Stockfish's immortal game
20:19 In the endgame they call it passed pawns.but in the middlegame they call em Isolated pawn islands😢.always remember

Working that day.
Levy never fails to mention his book in every video
Levi loves saying "Slowly... Methodically... _____"
I chuckled throughout so many moments of this video! These damn bots are so deceiving 😭 even more so against one another
"The players are basically on their own"
They are literally the openning book, from this day onwards
Chess is fucking crazy. I mean if you start you learn all the important things like develop your pieces, push pawns, not too many queen moves in the early game, no knights at the edges of the board etc. and this can get you to 2000+ elo if you are good and train very well.
And then comes Stockfish and it is like: You know the rules, so I do, so I ignore the rules most of the time. Fuck those rules.
Stockfish moves knight to the edge, does a lot of queen moves in early game, .... and finally wins the game
Just bought tickets to the event in London + the book... cant wait for both
Levi never fails to not comb his hair
That thumbnail is absolutely awesome! 💯
Can we just appreciate levy for not considering Lc0's games with the white pieces , it is a foible in itself
