14:10 The alignment shop actually told me to buy the new tires first THEN have it aligned because if they align it with your old worn out "oval shaped" tires and then you put your new tires on your alignment could actually be off again because it wasn't adjusted with a proper set of tires on it to begin with.

I live in Utah, I got the undercarriage spray. Think they spray Rhinolining underneath. I got it to help with rust, but it also took away the gravel pinging sound, which was really terrible ha.

For an over lander the dusty trail, sometimes rain and an open truck bed aren't the best option. I've always used a topper. Pro tip, seal the bed before you install the topper.
Hey Mateo, man I completely know the feeling. I was without my truck for a year due to engine failure. Got it fixed after multiple guys working on it. First mechanic did a terrible job rebuilding the motor then messing up the wiring harness, took it to another guy who fixed some of the issues but couldn’t quite get the truck running. Then I bit the bullet and took it to the dealership. After 2 weeks with the truck my truck engine blew. I was devastated. That truck had been gone for a full year and I couldn’t believe I was back in this nightmare. So flash forward 9 months I finally purchased a new motor and I’m hoping I can start driving my taco again. I miss my truck and can’t believe I’ve been without it for almost 2 years. Enjoy having your baby back.
@@tacomabeast thanks man. I’ve been driving the truck for a month now and I’m happy to report that the truck is running great. Just needs some tlc now taking care of the underbody. It’s been sitting in the Florida sun for too long
I warped my victory skid in the same spot... I had my friend gusset that bend on my new one (that is still in my garage) and I imagine it will work better but I honestly hope I never hit it that hard again. It would have been a show stopper if was just the factory skid there. Glad you got your truck back. I imagine that rock garden trashes quite a few rigs
so what are you doing with the decent parts that are coming off ? such as the tires. some people run tires down to almost nothing. i know people are constantly updating and upgrading parts, and some parts that come off are in decent shape and can still be used .
@@tacomabeast ive often wondered about that, thru my own journey of finding decent second hand parts like the items you mentioned for my gen 1 sequoia. cause i dont have to tell you how hard parts for those things are to find. looking forward to seeing some upgrades on your replacements. i'm also interested in some items you might recommend for my sequoia. she is going to be set up as a hurricane evac vehicle for my family and 4 huskies. the reason i mention it cause you have more experience in gear and setting something up
