Everyone knew you were a master by just seeing the end results of your tying...now we can see how you do it...thanks for producing these vids. Between you and Davie McPhail and a few of Oliver Edwards, I think I have every fly I want to tie covered...
Hans- Very well done as usual. Do you think this fly best represents a caddis emerger, or do you think it will cover other species of insects as well? Also, do you dub the abdomen and thorax in any other color combinations for different mayflies, etc? Great job.
I dont think that running the thread so far into the bend is a good idea. With a hook like the one in the video you will lose propably 8 out of every 10 fish you hook
+Kamil Ponikowski Hi Kamil, thanks for commenting. What you describe is not my experience - but to each his/her own. By all means tie your version shorter. Cheers, Hans W
+Hans Weilenmann By the way, here is the quote from your response that you have given me 3 months ago: "With the dark months ahead I have dusted off the tying camera rig, and will be posting some more videos." Whats up with that ? Cmon Hans I have watched all your videos propably 10 times over. I have watched them so much that Im nitpicking over nuances like the one that I have commented about :-)
+Kamil Ponikowski Soon, Kamil, soon. Having too much fun chasing birds in flight with the long lens, but yes, will pick up the tying vids ;-) Btw, nit-pick away - always good to hear other opinions. Cheers, Hans W
Cool :-) Btw, by: "chasing birds in flight with the long lens" do you mean bird photography or hunting ? Thats a serious question, Im a little confused since I know (again from watching your videos so damn much) that you like to play with words

+Kamil Ponikowski Photography. Birds on the wing, and not on the wing. The latter is one heck of a lot easier, btw LOL
You are a cat?
