Hey Barbara, thanks for sharing your announcements with us including the updates of your channel. I’m so glad to be on your channel. Love your glasses.
Yes several seed seller sites are sold out of popular items. I have a huge order coming on Thursday. Yes I need harvest baskets as well. I’m checking the thrift stores first for large wicker baskets. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
Happy New Year, Barbara! So proud of you and enjoy watching your journey! I would love a segment for beginner patio gardeners. Also, canning fruit jam (actually, I think you have a video on canning jam.🤔 Love you, girl!🩷
Barbara, thank you for all you do and desire to share with us. I think one thing I would like to see would be how to determine what to grow when you have limited grow space, like containers only, and how to maximize preservation when you have limited storage space. I live in So. Cal, so there is no basement for me to use for food storage. Thanks again and glad you’re better.
Good idea. Same for me in TX. I'm in a small space w/ a lil bit of yard. Trying to plan how to make the most of what I do have & what to actually plant.
Thank you for sharing. So glad to hear you're feeling better & got to rest. I'm actually home now due to issues w/ my back & procedure in December. Yeah I'm so over asking people to help me too 😅but it's also been humbling. The fact I've been home, relaxing, watching vids & learning more about gardening has been a blessing. As 1st timer I just threw a few transplants & seeds in the yard & a Greenstalk May 2024. Stuff was everywhere! Now I feel like going into 2025 I have a better understanding. Continued blessings & prosperous
I have been waiting all year long for your seed starting series, I have been benge watching taking as many notes as I can and I followed you last year from a different RUclips page “ Persephinae” and I am would love if you did it again this year. Your channel is STILL unique and helpful because I can’t find anyone else that breaks it down like you
Hi Barbara! Glad you are feeling better. I'm excited about the spring/summer growing season and learning from you. Happy New Year to you and your family
Thank you for making country living easier to understand and deal with. Your page has been such a encouragement when family and friends do not agree on housing, life, fellowship, and socialization collectively, and when it comes to homesteading your on your own, single or not. Lord it is so good to see young adults in the Adventist church teaching Christian country living and homesteading to assist church members in living the last days and encourage members to be ready for the coming of Jesus Christ. Lord I am not be able to keep up with the Masons in my Christain journey but their ministry has been a great encouragement in making the Remnant Christin Adventist Living have more meaning and purpose even though they are younger than many. Lord do not allow me to fail at gardening because I am not organized, do not like record keeping, consistent, purposeful, or discipled. Lord I may never garden like the Masons but because we are living in the last days even the non Adventist Christians understand what global warming is and the having the ability to be sustainable due to the changes of our planed Earth and the universe.
Hi Barbara, I am so excited about the membership! I am terrible with planning my garden. Got better over the last year watching you. I woukd love a detailed planning my garden workshop!
Thanks. I will see if I can add that workshop. Timing is critical on that one so let me see how I could do it. Meaning I would want to do it when you can implement it right then.
Hi! Barbara, Happy New Year!🧨✨️Sciatica can be very painful but so glad you're doing better. I so excited about this growing season, I've already started seeds and brought a bunch more. I would love to see more on sourdough starter, seed starting/saving and canning. May the good Lord continue to bless your journey ❤😊
Hey Barbara, shout out from New Jersey. I have enjoyed your channel. Keep It Moving = K I M. I have had the pleasure to watch you in 2024. You are very motivated, your spirit is positive and blessed. I am looking forward in continually following in 2025 and being more intentional and organized. God puts people in your life to motivate you and grow spiritually. With your humbleness and commitment to share your journey has motivated me to be more grounded patient and humble in my own journey to a healthier lifestyle, using what God has provided us for centuries. Barbara keep going this is a wonderful, informational channel and continue sharing.
Continue to do exactly what your doing😊 I'm a canner, and I find that there is a lot of people who don't know how or get confused by all the misinformation out there. Success with your workshops this year. I love it all!
My spring seeds are due to arrive this week. Plant rack with grow light and warmer all setup. Dollar Tree has garden supplies and seeds available, as well as Walmart.
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead yes, i purchased sunflowers, wildflowers, herbs, and sugar snap pea; although my spring, summer and fall seeds arrived, that suppose to do good in my area. It only took my arugula 3 days to sprout. The seeds from my store cherry tomatoes also sprouted.
Hi Barbara! Looking forward to all the exciting happenings on the channel! Can you do the planning a garden workshop first because that’ll help me with how many seeds I need to start?
Barbara, it’s on my mine daily. How, what do I plant first in my spring and summer garden? I have 6 new raised beds. I know that on the back of the seed packs, it tells you the best time to plant that particular seed. So that’s how I think I should plant?? Spring plants summer plants etc. ?? I’m thinking about getting a small seed starting kit with lights and heat mat… don’t know much about that I agree that it would be more cost effective. I’m not sure what to do first, I feel scattered all over the place. When do you start planting for spring??? I need the class/workshop For spring planting … seed starting kits. I have my seeds. Just ordered Garlic last week at Johnny’s Thx For all that you do. Take care of your body. Glad you are feeling better ♥️ I’m also watching “how to start your garden part 2”
Yes definitely try to start your own seeds-start small and get the hang of it. On the spring and summer planting-easier for me to answer that and talk you through it. I will discuss it in an upcoming video by next week.
I'm very happy for you. I wish you well with your subscriptions. Unfortunately I am downsizing everything including subscriptions right now, but will keep you in mind once I get on my feet. Love your channel and will continue watching❤
I'm so excited for 2025 garden. I'm getting organized. I'm def a logical, strategic, planner for my garden. I learned so much last year, that i did feel disorganized! I'm almost a 100% container garden, so I'm always looking for that specific content. I've also done a lot of diy container stands thanks to you tube university to help keep me and my containers up off the ground! Trying to decide if i need another shelf for 🌱 seedlings
Happy New Year, Barbara! It's wonderful to know you are feeling better and that you took time to rest and reconnect with your loved ones. All of your plans sound great. I will support where I can. Thank you for all of your content, ma'am.
Hey Barbara! Happy New year to you & your family! So glad you're feeling better. I love where you are taking your channel. The workshops sound so nice! Because of you, i started 90% of my seeds last year. I purchased the herbs. I was so intimidated but you are such an encouraging woman. I think im a pro seed starter, lol. I did order some onion starts from dixondale farms, but i also ordered seeds from another company. Planted those a little over a week ago & they are all up! Ive got my garden layout ready & schedule nearly complete. Do you plant sweet potatoes? I think im going to start my own slips too. Im so excited for this growing season, & you just reignited my energy for it. Continue to feel better & take those breaks when you need them. We need you here!
Wow you are on it!! I love the plan and organization you have going on over there. I am glad I was helpful with you starting seeds. Yes, I plant sweet potatoes but I have never done my own slips before.
@AGardenersJourneyHomestead Thank you! My sisters joke about how I plan all the time. I have several planners I use. And no different with gardening. I've written down as much as I can. I'm also getting into preserving what I grow. Planning on canning up some beans this weekend. Mrs H at Homestead Heart has some good stuff. Thanks again for all you do for us
As for content that I would benefit from… Everything!😂 But seriously, I need help with setting up irrigation, seed starting shelving and proper grow lights. I love your channel and can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us all. I am excited to learn more and get my family involved. Blessings to you and your family.
Barbara, what onion starts do you buy from Dixon Dale? We're in the same zone. BTW, I would love to see that series again. I only have two Green Stalks and 6 metal beds, but I would love to know how I can utilize them to the fullest.
Barbara, I thank you for all that you do for gardeners. I have learned so much from you. I may not ever make it to where you are (in being able to plant and harvest all you do because it's only me), but I love watching you thrive and success. I am here for all that you're bringing and are planning to bring in 2025 except Sour Dough. I'm in the process of a serious weight loss journey and bread doesn't play into it otherwise I would be here for that too. I don't know how you would do it or how you would find the time, but I would love for you to start another channel for women's ministry.
Thanks Lydia! I appreciate your support all the time. On the women's ministry channel-have never thought about that one. I cannot add anything else on my plate but maybe one day that may be an idea...
I injured my back again when i got a chip drop.I over did it with the lifting of that mulch.Well, scatia set in on my left side. I couldn't walk, and the pain was beyond anything i ever experienced. I went to a chiropractor for a while.I was on a weight lost program before the injury but with this scatia, i had to kick it up to a higher level.I follow the carnivores/ keto way of life. I have made the olive oil and alcohol tintures but would like to get into the soaps and creams.
