I already have all my seeds!!👍🏾 Ordered in December!! I'm ready to go!! 😁 Although I live in zone 10b, Southern California, I won't plant out my peppers& tomatoes until late April/May. I wait until nighttime temps are above 55 degrees so not to stunt my pepper and tomato plants. Been there, done that! 😩
Seeds have been ordered and purchased some from Dollar Tree. Homestead Heart RUclips channel also has a seed store. All of my seed orders are coming from her.
Seeds Ordered mid December. Southern Exposure Seed Exchange is another good resource. They have lots of varieties that will do good in the heat & humidity of Florida & other southern states.
I just ordered my seeds thanks to you. I’m a huge procrastinator and have been meaning to inventory my seeds. You gave me the motivation to do just that.🙂
**Oh Barbara, another note: I heard you mention stores, here's some more....Dollar General, True Value/Ace Hardware--and they carry the brand Botanical Interest ❤😊😌
"The Founding Seven" I love it! I did not buy any seeds because not only did I do an inventory of what I have, but I did a germination test of my older seeds, and they are still goid. I may try doing carrots this year, in which case, I'll go to either Dollar Tree or my library. However, because of you, last year I ordered my onion starts from Dixondale Farms. I also started fromserd, but the Dixondale Farms onions were phenomenal! And their prices are very good. So with the money I saved from not buying seeds, I spent on my onions from Dixondale! Thank you for suggesting them last year!
Thank you for breaking down your process. Last year, I focused on expanding my garden and figuring out what grows well in my area. Also, I tried a lot of varieties to figure out what I like. This year, I have a pretty good idea so I want to focus on VOLUME. I have a family of 5 so my harvests last year only lasted for a meal or two 😂 Definitely want to reduce my grocery trips this year. Excited to see how your garden does this year!
I completed a seed inventory this weekend. I did it for my first seed start sale as a home-based business. I got laid off in December. I can't job search for 8 hours a day. I have everything I need to get started, which is great because I do not have to buy anything except a business license from the county. As time passes, I will replace my seeds with those from Johnny's. I need production and abundance. I got the Bolero carrot seeds that I will plant this week. Fingers crossed.
Congratulations on starting the business. I sold seed starts for the first time last year and will be doing it again this year. I am sorry about your layoff and will be praying for you.
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead Thank you. It is encouraging to know you saw success in doing it. I am going to start with tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. God is my provider 🙏.
@@njagatlin I made $500 with little effort because I was just testing it out. I wish you the best and God is an excellent provider. There is no one better!
Hey Barbara! I ordered my seeds from Berlin Seed this year. Very reasinably priced. Cant wait to get them. Im still looking through my other catelogs too😂
@AGardenersJourneyHomestead Anothe youtuber mention them on their channel. I think they're based in Ohio. I'm pretty sure they're Amish, so you can't order online. Either fax, email, or mail in your order. Lots of really good options too
Barbara, I did like you initially. I didn't have a place to grow anything and ended up using buckets and a couple of planters. The lettuce and tomatoes were successful. Everything was a fail. That said, I have a ton of seeds and have no intention of buying anything UNLESS I find I don't have something that I want to grow when I do inventory.
Hi Mrs. Barbara. I know what we’re growing and about how many, but still working on the garden space overhaul so the “where” is in progress. Any advice for starting strawberries from seed? Keep growing!
Thanks for the breakdown! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Yes, I have planned what I want to grow. Yes I have taken inventory of what I have. Yes, I have ordered my seeds, and have started some. I don't use seed catalogs. I find them overwhelming, so it would be helpful to have the catalogs explained. I ordered seeds from Renee's Garden on the recombination of Cassandra of Becoming a Farm Girl. She only grows in Greenstalks and Renee's Garden has a lot of container seeds that do well in GS. Do you order seeds specifically for your GS? I am looking forward to seeing your seed haul.🌿
@@mrslsix No I do not order seeds specifically for my GS-they are just in the mix with everything else. Yes the seed catalogs can be overwhelming and some are easier to digest than others.

Hey Barbara~! My problem is that there is not much that I don’t eat or won’t try 😂

I have never started strawberries from seed so I cannot help you with that one.
I know what I'm growing.
Walmart you can buy food seeds with foodstamps.
That is great! I did not know that.
Question, Mrs Barbara, i know you mentioned you bought your seed in December, but when do these comoanies have the new years seeds available?
Now-they usually start selling new seed in Nov/December.
