No. I use onenote (and have used evernote as well) at work for two main reasons- 1. My company is deep in the microsoft office ecosystem already, so it is set up and works well with everything else (teams, planner, etc) and 2. Using Apple notes for personal (everything outside of work) but onenote for work helps me mentally maintain that work/life seperation and balance.

I've been using Apple Notes since 2015, but then ended up using it as my "second brain" around 2022 and it's been a game-changer for me, especially with new and improved features added with each new OS upgrade. I use Share Sheets tons, and started using the formatting tools like checklists and tables too. Love the PDF implementation too, and the ability to store select audio and video. I am an Evernote user as well, but I use it for other types of secure long-term storage. Notes is definitely an underrated go-to, and it's frictionless for me. Appreciate the content.
To expand on shark’s comment about the clicking, sound effects are great for transitions or to keep a viewers interest, but when you’re providing great value the constant clicking is just distracting, just keep providing great content so that we can hear the voice speaking.

It is one of my favourite tools, but there is one thing stopping me from using it as the mail notetaking tool; it’s possible to send mail to Notes, you can only send mail links. For many heavy users, this makes Notes a no go. Been waiting for this extremely useful and important tool for years; let’s hope they finally realize how important this is in the next big update…

The option "Scan document" is only available if i open any other new note, but not in quick note . Please do share on this as i am new to iphone and apple notes.
Is anyone experiencing the note you're writing on taking huge and fast jumps (scrolls) up and down, after updating to 17 IOS? I have been using Notes forever and I love it! I use it a lot every day, and theses sudden screen scrolls are killing me! I complete lose focus having to search with my eyes where was I before the whole text just moved by itself. If this was an update, I sure hope they bring back a more stable screen experience in Notes.
Try this: open the notes app on two devices and edit the same note simultaneously. For example, edit the word "apple" by adding an s on one device and deleting the entire word on the other. It would break the sync for every note. That's why I stopped using apple notes and have been using craft docs since.
I just can’t stand the fact that I can’t zoom or resize drawings. I hate that so much. If simplicity is the goal, at least make them a few toggles hidden in settings somewhere. Being able to write something using the entire screen, then resize it to fit more content on the page feels like a must-have. It’s the only reason that I still use Goodnotes. Primarily, I still use apple notes for all the other reasons.
Wait, Samsung has a “summarize note” feature? That’s honestly cool. I hope there are new AI features for Notes in iOS 18. Maybe creating a new Shortcut can do this kind of thing?
I wish you could change fonts on the ipad or iPhone Iike you can when you use Notes on a MacBook. I like how you can change color and fonts, not being able to do that on ipad or iPhone is annoying.
I just checked my editing program and there is no "audio waveform" visible, so I have no idea why it does that (perhaps it is due to the audio preset I use to remove background noise). Good thing it's just a very tiny error, no problem! Thank you for pointing it out :)
Apple Notes is pretty good but before you start using it, you should consider if the 5G iCloud space is enough for you! And once you start then discovered the iCloud capacity problem and then you will find it’s hard to export your notes to other services like Notion etc. so you might end up pay Apple forever for your notes! That’s how it’s been designed my friend.

I used to use both Apple Notes and One Note. I've dropped One Note and am exclusively using Notes. Works great for me.
