      Yes, I am currently playing Origins, after being burnt out due to Unity. I liked the gameplay of Unity but the story blew ass and didn't take the universe in a meaningful direction. Origins is easily as good AC2, Brotherhood, and Black Flag, in my opinion.

    To be fair, the game is set 2000 years ago, it is said by archaeologists that the pyramids had that smooth sheen finish to them but eroded over the centuries, same can be said for a lot of the sites, 2000 years of exposure to the elements takes a toll.

      @Partyaap050 6 лет назад +123

      2k Apex,
      He calls it ancient because for him, that pyramid is already 2500 years old. The difference between us and AC: Origins is 500 years shorter than the difference between the Pyramid and AC: Origins.
      That Pyramid is crazy old.

    • @Raytrek79
      @Raytrek79 6 лет назад +44

      Very true guys, the old Egypt is far removed from Bayek, Bayek is far removed from us. To think Bayek is nearly Jesus times, the old Egypt is way back at Moses or even Abraham.

    • @Raytrek79
      @Raytrek79 6 лет назад +28

      In places Bayek finds letters talking about Jews in Alexandria during his time, a mention of Antipater for example, he was a tetrarch of Israel, and another time they reference the Men of the Book and their one God, very much a reference to Jewish academics active in the Great Library. So it was a very multicultural time, Greeks, Romans, Jews, Seleucids, Persians, not just Egyptians.

    Ubisoft really went out of their way on this one to make everything look as close to reality as possible, and given that the game takes place in time of Cleopatra, it naturally looks better and not as old as it is now. I was especially impressed how they put every little detail into the Great Pyramid on the inside, plus some extra theorized chambers that served well for gameplay purpose.

      I love it, but I gotta admit I miss the original assassin like gameplay - like the yellow, blue, red eagle vision, and there definitely needed to be more stealth kill animations (which they've done in other games)

      Not really 'bro', they have Egyptologists and historians to help them accurately design those, but they only added their own tombs and those ledge cracks for us to climb, the "style" you see isn't even considered a style, it's closely resemble the original by research and proof.

      @kristof.demeter 4 месяца назад

      @@mastergamer132e4And the only reason they were in good condition for thousands of years was because they were really inhabited by Egyptians then, I mean even now, but today people from the Near East and the surrounding African countries live there its inhabitants are British, French, Turks... While the ancient Egyptians were there, they maintained the buildings because they were all religious buildings, then they left their religion and these buildings became insignificant.
      If all of a sudden the European countries abandoned Christianity for another religion, then after a while our churches would also suffer the same fate

      Psiioniic this has been disproven. It was speculated that some French soldiers used it as target practice. But apparently it's been proven that the nose was already damaged by the time of the invasion

    • @Berzelmayr
      @Berzelmayr 6 лет назад +6

      a drawing that predates Napoleon's invasion clearly shows that the nose was already destroyed en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Sphinx_of_Giza#/media/File:Norden,_1755_(2).png (by a Muslim, who hated that local farmers were still venerating the Sphinx). The destruction is actually similar to what happened to the giant Buddha-statues in Afghanistan in 2001 or in to old Mesopotamian sculptures through fanatics in recent years.
