Jason Newsted is one of the very few musicians in metal and music in general I never hear people tall ill about. He's such a genuine person that it's basically become a cardinal sin to be negative towards him. I've got nothing but respect for him.
Jason was cool, always confusing why he pushed his terrible side band on Metallica. If Echobrain were listenable James wouldn't have cared as much. He was embarrassed.
What Jason said about Cliff Burton's parents making sure they got the right guy to pass on the torch gave me tears down my solemn face. I remember back when Cliff was alive and how me and my school metal head buddies just loved him, still do. If you were not around at that time go watch Cliff em all, that's the Metallica I grew up with and praying that they would be a huge band one day because it was still uncertain at that time even though they were selling out stadiums but in school it was only a handful of long hair metalheads and they were still considered new wave.
Thinking that Kirk Hammett taught Gary Holt to play is insane... always thought that. I love Gary's playing so much, the Thrash scene was so intertwined, such a brotherhood. Alex for Ozzy would be weird though, kind of glad Sharon shut it down to be honest because we got Testament
I would Love to say a HUGE ROCK ‘n’ BLOODY ROLL to Loudwire for this mad as Mosh into the History of some of the most EPIC METAL BANDS of My time thanks heaps Guys and Gals🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I'll tell you what surprised me when Columbia CBS records picked up kreator on extreme aggression album. Wasn't expecting them to get a major label with the lyrics they had. I was done with anthrax when they became rap though.
@@TheLordGoat well what really surprised me had never heard anything that brutal on a major record label at that time most of the bands I was listening to was on metal blade record's or combat record's of course Metallica left metal blade record's and got signed by Electra very quickly. But anyway kreator was going still massively heavy/brutal on the album
Respect to Kerry King for not referring to Megadeth as 'my previous band', not claiming to have written everything up to Youthanasia, not claiming to be better than Marty Friedman and not nailing Chris Poland's girlfriend.
Just love the excellent choices of swede band t-shirts during the Mustain and Lombardo parts. Opeth is understandable, but Skitsystem took me by surprise i must say;-) Thats some proper fking hårdrock.🤘
Interviews really need to stop asking mustaine about metallica. Feel sorry for Dave. He must get utterly sick of it. Can see it in his face... At this point, it's just disrespectful I think.
That was only until Dave found someone who actually knew how to play the guitar.😂😂 Kerry Kings been a joke to anyone who knows how to play their instrument since day one of Slayer. We all knew it was Jeffs riffs that he piggybacked off of for years. Kerry only brought the satanic gimmick with him. Decent lyricist for that goofy horror movie tilt on the genre though. No doubt.
Well, according do Daves biography and memory. They didnt really want to fire Dave (he recollects James crying when he dropped him off to the bus station).....Dave did not cool down and soon became the poster boy, had a temper and was writer/cowriter of the band which Lars did not like and when they were going to New York, they were already looking for a replacement. Kirk is different, he doesnt push Lars out of the money making machine. Now I know, "dave wrote em all" jokes, but say what you will, those songs on kill em all demo apart from seek and destroy stand out. 4 out of 7 songs on no life till leather is a lot and Mustaine says that he and lars didnt really see eye to eye....big egoes, Mustaine being Mustaine....everybody blames drugs alcohol etc...but I think money had more to do with Dave getting kicked out. Anyway, both bands wrote and still do write some kick ass music for our ears, hope they do for many more years to come.
Today is THE DAY of SALVATION in ROMANS Chapter 10 Verse 8 to 10 said : But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Come to JESUS CHRIST before it’s too late 🕊️👑🤍
Yet Kerry was the one who recorded all the rhythm guitar parts in the studio from like the mid-90s on. Jeff was a great writer but let's not act like he was a tighter tighter guitar player than Kerry, who actually taught Jeff metal guitar when they met in the early 80s.

Thank you very much.
The same cannot be said of Lars
He in fact is a genuine person. Two of my good friends have met him in Elmira Ny. And jammed with him!
Jason was cool, always confusing why he pushed his terrible side band on Metallica. If Echobrain were listenable James wouldn't have cared as much. He was embarrassed.
Megadeth always had extraordinary guitarists
dude have you seen Jeff Young lately? i mean he was only there for a cup of coffee and id put him right up there with Poland and Friedman
Esepecially after Kerry King, haha
All they needed was a decent vocalist
Kerry King worst guitarist in the history of Megadeth
yes, on the gods of thrash thing you can hear his parts (now) he had his own thing for sure..interesting parts, great player.

Always impressed by Frank Bello. He seems like a real “salt of the earth” kind of guy!
and his bass has that sort of piano like twangy sound!
anthrax's take on thrash metal was great and unique
@@jibicusmaximus4827 That's exactly how I describe his playing. He almost sounds like a piano player.
i miss Graham, i hope he's still killing it as a metal Journalist
Frankie Bello has a golden soul ❤
He's been through a lot, his brother was murdered.
Damn. I miss the ThrashMetal years.... I miss being a Trasher!🤘🏴☠️1980s-early 90s👊

All these years I didn’t know that about the Burton’s and Jason.🤘
Love Jason Newsted. After all he went through he still focuses on the best times as opposed to the hard times.
So I'm guessing Sharron was the person who didn't congratulate Alex.
Or Zakk.
Enjoy interviews from these guys because when they're gone they're gone.

I love being the only guitarest in a band. I used to have what i call a power trio + Vox.
Megadeth is awesome.

CBS ruined the production on that album, wayy too clean.

Unbelievable WOW
I wanted to laugh not cry! The story about Burton's father killed me!!

JASON NEWSTEAD - BASS GOD!!!! Imagine MEGATERA!!!! HOLY SCHNITZEL!!!! 😱
Ever notice nobody is talking about Kerry; he’s always the one telling the story…
Good thing you put a arrow and a red circle on mustains face on the thumbnail
Right here in the Bay Area Ruthies Inn.
I think Dave was like "Fu*k yeah, he left the band! Now let's really pump it!" 😂
I wonder what would have happened if Kerry King stayed Megadeth🤔
He was never good enough to be alongside Mustaine.
Bloodbath.
They would have been worse than slayer. Kerry King is the worst guitarist ever
Dave would've fired him and wrote a statement about how great the newest guitarist is, like always
@@tehwicked makes sense
THRASH METAL FOREVER 🤘🤘
Where's Graham??
Id be sick to see those shows playing early shit from killing is my business album damn
Newsted IS the reason I got into Metallica. Then I discovered Cliff later. When he left, seeing their new image, I was out. What an embarrassing era.
Thrash til Death!

Alex skolnick from Testament has a rap song.

Then, Dave heard Kerry's solos and said, "Ah, hell no! F... this!"
He probably also taught Lars Ulrich to play drums.

Tom Araya's shirt says it all. He really needs to grow a spine and tell everyone to Foff and enjoy retirement.
You can tell Mustaine is so sick of bringing up the same ole story...
Mustaine is sick of life also, he's a perpetual foul mood prick. Yes personal experience with him...
Kerry King is the most overrated and most horrible guitarist ever.
It was easy for Metallica to take Dave which might be a hint as to why it was easy for them to let him go.
