SP on order! i'll be doing an owners review hopefully Feb or early March. Great succinct video Chad the engine sounds fantastic when you were spinning it up, love that music too.
They will sell these by the bucketload. The SP will outstrip the base model too I think. Yamaha pricing on MT10 already being affected. But at least that has the character of the crossplane to give it an element of getting something different for ur money. I fear for the sales numbers of the GSXS1000.
@@Chad76Media it certainly does. But having tried to trade an MT10 in in the past few weeks the Hornet is already having an impact. Dealers are very cautious and Yamaha dealers are changing deals/prices accordingly
Would be nice to get a gloss black and few other colours in the SP but looks good. It makes everything else seem overpriced, well done Honda 👏 What is stopping Suzuki updating their GSXS by adding their old GSXR1000 engine with VVT tech retuned like Honda make a parts bin special but with the newer engine 🤤
I think that's the big question, what are other manufactures going to do. Yamaha had £1500 off a base MT10 last year, to clear stock. It will be interesting.
How does it handle and how much fun is it compared to the new Triumph Tiger sport 800?? I know …different types of motorcycles but… if it’s only the fan factor and the overall experience what would you choose?
I'm thinking of ordering the standard bike with a quick shifter. I'm not a racing god and currently have the hornet 750 which is brilliant but do you think an average rider would notice much difference on the road between the SP and non SP version? Biggest reason is not the price but I think it looks the business in red
@@mr_svy Brembo's are nice for sure. However, on public roads and decent speeds Nissins are just fine. I test rode the standard one and the brakes are good. :)
Tail tidy, neat end can and wrap it to look like a new Silver M1000r. Hey presto you have a£20,000 super naked. Wonder how many you could fool until you parked it?
I really want this bike SP version. My only concern is , if I would be too tall for the bike, I'm 6.2.. I sat on my mates 650 hornet and it looked like a 125,so way to small.. So not sure if there is a big size difference between the 650 and the new 1000.
@@snakeman9902 I talk about this in my review of the standard model. I'm 6.1/6.2 and I don't look too tall on the model. This was a concern for me aswell. :)

@@snakeman9902 Mine also said it looked worse on photo vs real life with the Hornet1000. I'm 15st. The problem with taller bigger guys is that we have to go to touring bikes to get comfort. I have an NC750 aswell which is great but not really..sporty. :) What other bikes are you interested in? Most nakeds/supernakeds are about the same size so.. 😅
@RepsWithRevs I fully agree with your comment. So I was interested in the Z900, however, heard that the research says it's not the best in slow traffic.. They are the same size, and this actually felt right. I own a zzr1400, but the aggressive riding style is killing my arthritis.. The Versey has the speed, great for city riding and touring.
@@annon-ski7985 not in reference to sales, i think it will sell like hot cakes. Rumour is it will be around the 22990 aud. I'm talking more in terms of bike.
@RopeBunny-m2e Yeah they will have more features as they should but it will still be close as this bike isn't missing much. The bang for buck is great and it's a Honda? One of the Japanese big 3? That's insane, The only thing this is really missing is a IMU.
What a bike for the money, but 2 issues, no real colour choices, and they're gonna sell like hell, so when you turn up at Ponderosa café, Wales, or any other bike café on your new bike there's gonna be a good few others there. To me this is Hondas response to a large rise in Chinese motorbikes entering the market. But well done Honda, great bike.
It sounds like a really fun bike, but why is it when the boys in Hamamatsu do the same thing, they're derided as lazy shadows of their former selves? Not that I'm a bitter Suzuki owner....I'm a really happy Suzuki owner. LOL
Should sell by the container load. Can the matt paint fad please go away though. Every bike with matt paint looks likes its been left out in the aussie sun
