I currently drive a Honda CB600 Hornet (2010 - bought 2015 with 9k km) with now 150k kilometers and a CBR600 F4i (2004 - bought 2021 with 55 k km) with now 75k kilometers. I still love both and they both just do work perfectly after all these years of abusing. I am pretty sure it wasnt a mistake to blind-order my CB1000 Hornet SP. Will get it in Februar to March in Germany. Cant wait!
On the one hand, it doesn't look as good/desirable as the European bikes, but on the other, at least its cams won't come undone shortly after the warranty has expired. /edit: under 10k? Okay that's an excellent price.
All japanese 4 cilinders are just extremely reliable. a buddy of mine has a Z900 fully equiped and abused with 70k kilometers, the engine still works like mint doesnt sip a drop of oil 👌🏼
@@Snotroggel453recently saw a youtube video of a guy competing 100,000 km on his Z900. I mean for any bike that's just absurd number. Shows how well built these machines are.
I think it looks pretty damn good tbh. There are some minor icks like the cable harnes(I assume) to the right of the engine but for 10k it is INCREDIBLE value
Exactly and that’s a good thing for the customers; the companies have been bending customers over for too long, I hope this sways the market even a little.
No, I want you to sit there and think on all those ford F150s that never make it to the UK. Or the old muscle mustangs. 😂 jk, I hope everyone gets to experience it.
Just like KTM 890 smt took an extra year to come here, and superduke gt took extra time before and is going to this time, and the updated Honda 600, nobody likes the US market.
Go for a tail tidy and a swap of that "small" exhaust can and you are pretty much good to go. The only point that you will have to consider is the bike's weight (wet) exceeding the 210 kgs mark which could affect its level of agility (have only ridden the MT10 2022 so far to get an impression) when compared to the best up and down a serious mountain pass. But again, at this price point, it seems to be a compelling offer...
@@dashuntas.m4045 pretty sure honda will stick to the CB series being only in 300, 500, 650 and 1000 displacements, unlike hornet line-up of 500, 750 and 1000.
Odd how the Honda Transalp was slated by some for not having cruise control as a option , neither does this 1000cc bike yet , this omission is barely mentioned by you tube reviewers . I would also like to know real world facts , such as what rpm does the bike cruise at 100km per hour ? Can you stand up on this bike ? What is the quarter mile time , 0 to 100kms time ? This to be honest sounds like an infomercial .
According to ex pro rider Martin Bauer the trottle response needs refinement plus the chassis flexes too much under heavy (trail) braking and therefore lacks front end feel. The engine wants to be on track while the chassis wants to stay on the road. But it definitely is cheap. Honda obviously wants a big piece of the upper middle class naked pie.
@@anxiousappliance sure its fun, for the price, but def not as fun as the competition, its cheap for a reason. No one said anything about racing, twisties is where the fun is imo.

@@fyorbane its not very cheap here unfortunately, priced above the mt09sp / r9 and 1k below the new v2s. I personally would prefer less hp and less intrusive tc. But it seems like a nice bike otherwise.
Look mom, Honda managed to copy the Kawa Z1000 design, so they are like only 10 years late to the competition! But hey, at least it's based on the totally unsuccessful and generally ignored CB1000 platform! And we have Chad who never says anything close to critical on any bike ever existed! :D

How so? That triple has the ugliest headlights on the market and I’m sure it’s nowhere near as reliable as any Honda. Nevertheless we all like different styles
The triple R - which is price comparable, has 115 hp. And a liter bike is a liter bike - better/worse - maybe ride one and find out. An extra 40hp I4 might be what the doctor ordered.
I’ve ordered one. Couldn’t resist it! Thanks for the video!

Cool bike. Good price…. Looks like Z1000. Where’s the option for a windscreen?
Hopefully kawi comes up with Z1100😊

Apparantly it is extremely agile and very quick steering , yet stable and immense fun to ride. And it feels light.
A worthy upgrade from my CB650R in a few years time.
I wonder if they’ll make a retro version of the hornet alongside the CB1000R as well

Yeah, annoying it doesn’t have cruise control, especially for a 155hp 1000cc bike

Short for 1000 horsepower in German. We are an Austrian motorcycle magazine.
