I found a wonderful book called "How to Keep House While Drowning: A Gentle Approach to Cleaning and Organising" by KC Davis. She doesn't "yell" at all, and I feel heard and seen. She doesn't tell you how or what to clean when, either.

This is what everyone who has executive function issues needs. Years ago my nye resolution was to stop making resolutions and it worked. I know what I want for myself and I can't be angry with myself for having to take tiny steps sometimes. If life let everyone take big steps all of the time we'd miss the entire journey.

I think therapist and therapy with them are learning and evolving with the time, like they has to do... Not failing, just changing.
I name that "pequeñas metas" little goals.
    Very important.

My goal for 2023 was to get into a productive relationship ship and while it didn’t work out I still met my goal and it was a positive experience while it lasted and I’m proud of myself

Sorry it didn't work out, but congrats on having the courage to put yourself out there. It takes a lot of confidence and strength of character.

@@Dragonmoon8526 thanks. It was still amicable the way I did it and handled it in a mature way and we want the best for each other

Sounds like DBT: It's more effective to c chance how we think about what we want to change, and the words we use to describe it, than to tell ourselves, "I'll do this without fail for 3 or 4 weeks and then I won't even have to think about it!" I'm a fan of this technique.

This breaks down goals a lot and is much easier to understand than anything anyone else has tried to teach me. Thank you. I've also realized how many goals I accomplished that I didn't actually give myself credit for, so thank you for that too!

Great video, I've been struggling with failure for decades because I set up the bar very high since the beginning

Currently working towards beimg able to do higher level calisthenics. Still just doing basic exercises and weight loss. Then I will focus on muscle build up and learning the tricks themselves. Been at it sense the end of March. Still have a long way to go, but keeping my progression relastic and celebrating the small wins.
Bounes, I have started to develop a more posotive mindset and have less negative thoughts and self-talk. And I'm starting to work towards other ambitions.

Jono and Mended Light Team: you just did this video (this one) on these very true, useful, effective ways to look at and use failure but THEN you should apply that to your ad for you "therapy+" service. (Or improved therapy program). Traditional therapy isn't failing - a blanket generalization like that from someone who should know better than that to describe it like that.
Also putting it and the competition down - that approach sounds kind of scammy, untrustworthy and disrespectful and unnecessarily putting down of "traditional therapy" and doesn't recognize the many people traditional therapy has and does help.
I would like it if you marketed (and maybe redo the video or that part of it) your new (and pretty good, effective sounding) therapy service as improved therapy - not the sensationalist, hyperbolic, tabloid sounding "TRADITIONAL THERAPY IS FAILING!" Or something like that.
    - Where you've looked at the problems, pitfalls, weaknesses that trad therapy CAN have ans you've figured oyt how to solve that.
Also, your new setvuce actually sounds really good. You don't have to use a put down to sell it - for people to see the value and want to use it.
Also, not everyone who wants to use your new service will be able to so don't make them feel that the therapy available to them if there is any, isn't worth anything or trying / using / applying, trying to access, etc.
Also, Jono's own therapy business is / was a form of traditional therapy. Is he really saying that was all failure just because "traditional therapy"? 😠

@@MendedLight thank you. I felt bad for criticizing but felt it was important to say. I really love this channel - it's seriously one of the best out there and one of the most useful in general and to me personally, and i just want it to be consistently great / effective I guess. Sorry if I was too critical or negative.
I probably don't need to say this but never get too comfortable or take your reach, platform, even real and or perceived success for granted. People need you, I need you, the world needs you (we need your light! 😜). So always be aware of how you're coming across* as that can be the thing that gets the right message (and service even) to the right people or not. 😟
      * - I know, I'm telling my mama how to make babies here - you're careful and strategic about how you come across all the time - it's literally a key part of your jobs AND parenting!!! AND relationships, etc etc. But I guess it's a thing that you still can never let your guard down about.
