JLMO1987 I liked that Frozen was a musical, and a good musical. I can honestly say that I've seen BETTER animated films, quality wise, but I didn't LIKE any of those good animated films as much as I liked this one so
@@JLMO1987 Frozen wasn't all that good. The only thing going for it was that it had female lead characters to pander to feminazis. It was actually pretty sexist, except it was sexist against men. I've seen better quality Disney movies. The Lion King is probably the best Disney movie ever made. Frozen is nothing compared to it. Zootopia was a good and cute Disney movie, too. But it still doesn't compare to Lion King.
Frozen and Zootopia ,both are trash,, how Disney make money on these types of trash story besides movie?? I guess their business holder is strong on Hollywood market,, they can give us shit and we have to believe that is golden masterpiece,, their only good 3D animation was Tangled,, Pixar is great in their works
+TheMasterQuests No please...Dont I dont want from it another Ice Age when they ran out of ideas and start doing something silly to make it more appealing for teenagers
zootopia was awesome cuz it made a ton of movie and society references that you have to go back and meticulously pick at. like that one Breaking Bad reference scene
(Didn’t Think This Through): Played for laughs in the Zootopia comic, “Skunk Appreciation Parade”, when Nick and Judy try to rescue Gazelle on her parade float after a porcupine protester pops the parade balloon, Judy tries to climb up the parade float to save Gazelle but she did not think it through, until Nick jumps in to save her by borrowing the ribbon cutting scissors from Mayor Lionheart and using them to cut some ribbons on the parade float after jumping onto it and Nick and Judy use the ribbons to swing the scissors up to Gazelle who uses them to cut the ribbons attaching the deflating balloon to the parade float and causing it to fly away stopping the runaway parade float.
Jason Bateman was amazing in this movie. His performance definitely stood out to me. All the others were fantastic but i felt he was a notch above the rest. All in all, this movie is amazing. Awesometactular for me.
Between Lilo and Stitch, because that little alien dude is just awesome, and Tangled -- the classic badass horse, the frying pan... I have to recognize it here.
Sasha Westerfield I personally like Zootopia better. That's not to say Inside Out isn't also good, though. However, I don't think Inside Out would completely classify as a Disney movie, anyway, as it was made by Pixar, which, while owned by Disney, is still its own studio.
I thought ALL the characters were awesome. There were so many good ones that if you took an of them out it would have lost something. Chief Bogo, Clawhouser, Mr. Big, Judy's Parents, Gideon Gray, etc... All of them had something to add and together they all represented that we are all individuals living together. You know things do not look like those Apple commercials.
Very good review analysis to justify your position. To me it was just the entire movie was so good that I could not see removing anyone as to me it would take away some of the unique individuality that each character had. I mean I was cracking up when they went to the nudist colony and the yak remembered everything and elephant nothing. I just saw all the characters as individuals that made up the whole.
i like how almost every character personality is kinda reversed from what species they are like the fox is an honest one, the bunny is brave, the lamb is evil, the cheetah is lazy, The elephant is forgetful and so one
I'm not fond of Disney animation movies. I just thought they're bullshit. I was forced to watch this movie cuz' of my friends.... I have to say,I love the movie Good story, and I can relate to the characters. Love it 10/10
I took my little cousin and expected it to be a typical, bland animation. I thought I'd sleep through it. Seriously, this is now my favorite Disney animated movie, and yes I understand what I'm saying. All the jokes were funny and had me laughing out loud and adults and children could understand. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman were very strong in their voice performances. But what really got me the most was the parralles the mvie had with today's society. There was one part near the end where there's outrage against animals considered to be predators and they show a predator sitting down next to a mother bunny and her child and she simply grabs her child and sccots away from him. People who saw the movie realize how impactful that scene was. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
Brother bear (it deserves more love) finding nemo The Emperor's New Groove Dinosaur (2000) Monsters Inc. treasure planet (this movie also deserves more love xD)
Jeremey used to work in a movie cinema and he used to get early screenings, and now he reviews movies for a living he goes to early screenings as part of his job - pretty cool part pf the job.
"Zootopia" is a fur-tastic animated film I had ever seen. It's a funny bunny cop film about an undercover rabbit cop tags along with a sly smooth fox to go solve a case of these missing animals inside this big furry city. This movie is a lot of fun and its hilarious. These colorful characters were great and I love these two animal characters. Jason Bateman is a fun con artist fox and Ginnifer Goodwin is an attractive rabbit police officer. They both work each other well and they stay comfortable as friends that they're trying to work on this case. I love the animation and everything else in this animal city looks amazing. Entire slapstick scenes were quick and a lot of fun, some of these animal puns were funny, and it's a cute film. I feel like Disney Animated Films were coming back on track and I love how they make this movie original as well they enjoy "Wreck-It-Ralph" and "Big Hero 6" which is more successful than any other films. Except for "Frozen" which people may consider a classic Disney film, but nearly too main stream and beyond too marketable for any occasions. However, I think this movie is more appreciated because of the release of the trailer and marketing of this movie is more fascinating. Hell I wanted these two characters to be memorable and this entire animal area looks exciting. Overall, fur-tastic film.
here is my rating on Disney movies (2010-2016) Tangled:Good time no alcohol required Wreck it Ralph:Awesometacular Frozen:Dogshit Big Hero 6:Worth Buying on Blu-ray Zootopia:Awesometacular
What was the reference? I saw it the other day but I don't believe I noticed it. And I've seen all of breaking bad too but it's been two years since I've seen it so it's been a while.
+Victor Zambrano When they found the stuff that was causing the predators to go Savage they had it set up like a breaking bad style method lab and the stuff they were making was blue, and the guy making it was wearing a yellow hazmat suit, and then he said Walter and Jesse were back with his coffee.
I saw this tonight in a theater with no children, all adults (late night showing) and we were all laughing like crazy. The sloth scene from the trailer is even funnier in the film. And Judy & Nick were amazing together. I was wondering if Jason Bateman & Gennifer Goodwin recorded some of their dialogue together 'cause it felt like they played off of each other really well.
Moral of the story: Tax evasion is completely fine as long as you're blackmailed to help a cop solve a mystery, then become a cop yourself after making a dishonest living from being a con artist your whole life.
ragingfiip funny you should say that, I am planning to write a piece on how Judy hopps abused her authority as a cop and basically trampled all over rule of law and cop regulations to stroke her ego, and how should we as an audience cope with a protagonist with such shades of grey, how should we draw the line on using the authority given to us to serve the common good vs fulfil our own goals.
Ooh, tough question ... I'll have to go with: Pre-2010: Lilo and Stitch (Runner-up: Treasure Planet) Post-2010 and Disney All-time Fave: Wreck-it-Ralph (Runner-up: Big Hero 6)
I think the retarded shipping culture is what ruined Zootopia fanbase. That's why this movie is not as Kuch talked about and referenced as it's much lesser peers like Frozen
Went to see it today and loved it!!! Lots of great comedy for kids and adults, definitely a little more mature than other purely slapstick kids movies but that's what makes it great. Also dat Godfather scene, priceless xD
+Misty Rose I thought so much of this worked better for adults--but a lot of Disney movies are that way, so not a surprise. The Godfather scene's a great example since kids definitely didn't get that reference (at least I hope they didn't!).
Inside out was a little bit more real since kids will find the movie fun but adults find it relatable. Zootopia is more heartfelt yeah it has references to movies like godfather, a fucking methlab and racism ish portrayed against foxes. But it is an amazing movie At least i believe thats what they have against foxes/predators.
My favorite Disney movie is hands down Treasure Planet. Truly an emotional film that captures the struggles of a kid with no father figure who tries to find one in a tough-imaged but lighthearted space pirate. Still get chills when I see it.
Just came back from the theatre. This movie is really fun. But most of all friggin' GORGEOUS. The opening (ish) scene with the trainride into the city was spectacularly beautiful
Wreck It Ralph and The Lego Movie are the best animated kids movies. I had a feeling Zootopia would compete with those, especially now after hearing the review. (Probably gonna take some shrooms or lsd and watch this movie, animated movies are the best while tripping).
+Gawillamon I don't do drugs, but I would imagine that The Spongebob Movie 2 would be the best animated movie in recent years to watch while trashed or high.
seraphiccandy21 Haha it looks pretty ridiculous, I'll check it out! I also have Michael Jackson's "Moonwalker" and "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" saved on my computer for a funny/trippy night lol.
Gawillamon Yep, at one point you have st Nick beating teh shit outa a guy and at another time Kirk is trying to convince you gifts resemble the skyline of Jerusalem. Oh and a black guy as imagined by a man who has never met a black guy before. Its comedic gold.
Jeremy, would LOVE too see you do a Top Animated 10 Favorite Films of All Time, 1. The Lion King 2. Spirited Away 3. HTTYD2 4. Beauty & The Beast 5. Aladdin 6. Wall•E 7. The Little Mermaid 8. Kung Fu Panda 2 9. Zootopia 10. Toy Story 3
Seen Zootopia before this review came out and I agree with JJ on this one. Zootopia was awesome and it brought up the issue of bullying and racial prejudice in a clever way.
Great movie, I just wish the SJW media outlets would quit trying to showcase this movie as a modern day race relations commentary. Manly because it isn't and that's a huge disservice to the movies message. It's a message about prejudice and acceptance, point bank. It paints neither side in the real world as the victim or the perpetrator. it just explains that we should be accepting of each other regardless of our predispositions and fears. That's why it works so well. Gender, race, black, white, male female etc. we ALL have prejudices that we need to set aside to move forward.
This movie took me by surprise quite frankly. I enjoyed the characters and the plot was really good too. We even get to so animal racism which really shocked me, but I loved it.
Mr Biggs in this movie is voiced by Maurice LaMarche who also did the king in Frozen. He is also Mortimer Mouse, Morbo,Lurch,Kif,Calculon,Inspector Gadget, Henchmen number 2 and Chief Quimby on Inspector Gadget, does a great Peter Falk impression, Toucan Sam for Froot Loops, Yosemite Sam and Foghorn Leghorn, and he's the voice of Lexus.
Including pixar movies, Wall-E, not including Pixar movies, Big Hero 6 probably, but I'd like to mention Treasure Planet as one of the more underrated animated movies to come out in the early 2000s. It had awesome animation, a great early career performance from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, really cool visuals and action, it was really cool from what I remember of it, I should rewatch it. Also stuff like Lilo and Stitch, Emperor's New Groove, the Lego Movie, and a ton of other movies deserve praise. It's been a great decade and a half or so for animation, and that's without mentioning all the masterpieces Pixar turns out regularly, or what other non-Disney animation studios like Dreamworks and Studio Ghibli are doing.
*LILO AND STITCH BITCH!* Sorry I had to. Bitch rhymes with Stitch. 2. *Emperors New Groove* 3. *Treasure Planet* 4. *Brother Bear* 5. *Meet the Robinsons* (Everything that *Tomorrowland* should have been but failed) and lastly *Big Hero 6*. Yes I liked it more than Wreck it Ralph and Frozen. Sue me.
First time seeing your videos and I kept looking over my left shoulder to see if you were talking to somebody next to me. Looking into the lens and presenting yourself to your audience like you did for 2 frames @0:30 is way more pleasant than watching you look at yourself on an offscreen display. Other than that, thanks for the review.
just watched this on netflix, I am a not a massive movie guy, but this was really good, like surprisingly good. Jason Bateman as the fox was super cool, and the Bunny was smart and just as good. The chemistry is top notch. this is a must watch, also the scene with the weasel selling movies, hilarious.
+DoubleOscar He probably watched an early showing of Zootopia (how, i don't know), and with this movie just releasing a few days after March begins, it's a minor mistake that any one can make.
Yes becasue it was a world that ONLY mammals developed their cortex's high enough and evolved to communicate with each other. It was a world were EVERY mammal was apex animal, not just humans. Realistically that would never happen as it has been proven that only a single species can occupy a niche. Hence why lions are being reduced in number due to Hyenas occupying the same niche. HOWEVER, it makes a fun world. In fact one of the biggest questions asked was what do the predators like lions eat since they can only have a protein diet. Apparently if you look around close enough there are "Bug Burgers" joints that serve insects as a source of protein and in certain areas they sell chicken and fish. You can clearly see the fish market when she enters tundra town on the train.
the godfather scene killed me!
"ice em"
I'm glad someone got that!!
He made them an offer they could not refuse
👍🏿👍🏿😲😲
It's called a hustle, sweetheart.

it was Ratatouille but now I'm leaning towards Zootopia I fucking loved this movie
Saaaaaaame
+Batnab So you mean out of disney and pixar in your case?
+Batnab Ratatouille was great!
Pixar shouldn't be counted as Disney... like how we don't consider star wars and marvel disney.
same!! I loved ratatouille
If the year 2000 still counts... I'd say The Emperor's New Groove
Nice!
+John Cole Dude that movie is hysterical XD
One of my favourite comedies of all time. A buddy of mine and me quote it all the time :D
yeah pretty decent movie and why wouldn't 2000 count? the year of 1913 counts why not 2000?

Tangled:Good time no alcohol required
Wreck it Ralph:Awesometacular

I actually didn't like Big Hero 6 that much. I found it WAY too predictable and cheesy :P
its OK its just my opinion
You perfectly summed up all the movies from 2010-2016. Frozen is wank
"It's February!"
Um. Jeremy.
Why are people discussing Bernie Sanders here?
“Did you just boot my stroller”?
2:51...I don't know in what realm you're living in, but it's March at my place.
Probably re recorded. Jeremy is human
+John Colon Well he could (as a human) check when the darn movie comes out...

Big Hero 6 is great, although plot is fairly by-the-numbers in relation to other superhero films.

But.... The actual classics tho
I took both of my little sisters to see this movie. In not way, shape, or form did I expect to be so entertained by a kids movie. It was great.
The references in this movies are top.
No, man it's AWESOMETACULAR. It does everything right, and it's as good as Inside Out.
Even better imo!
WAAY better than inside out.
Inside out was a little bit more real since kids will find the movie fun but adults find it relatable.
Zootopia is more heartfelt yeah it has references to movies like godfather, a fucking methlab and racism ish portrayed against foxes.
But it is an amazing movie
At least i believe thats what they have against foxes/predators.
Thewalker18 totally agree it had more depth and was funny as hell(the sloth part)😂😂
***** Good to know, I'll check it out haha thanks!
+The Pho Eater The best movie to watch while high is Kirk Camerons saving christmas. Fact.
seraphiccandy21 Haha it looks pretty ridiculous, I'll check it out!
Jeremy, would LOVE too see you do a Top Animated 10 Favorite Films of All Time,
1. The Lion King
2. Spirited Away
3. HTTYD2
4. Beauty & The Beast
5. Aladdin
6. Wall•E
7. The Little Mermaid
8. Kung Fu Panda 2
9. Zootopia
10. Toy Story 3
Great Review Jeremy! Post 2000's Disney Movie for me is.... Wreck-It-Ralph!
Good choice.
Personally, I'd go for _Lilo and Stitch_. But that's just me :)
Seen Zootopia before this review came out and I agree with JJ on this one. Zootopia was awesome and it brought up the issue of bullying and racial prejudice in a clever way.
This movie had some really dark undertones far darker than just addressing our own societal problems
Check your prey privilege
+brad garza Triggered! Triggered!
I LOVED THIS MOVIE!
I went nuts when the Breaking Bad reference scene came up
I missed it, what happened??
Just saw the movie. That reference was perfect lol
@@paulaqueirosz when the sheep is in the lab making the drug that looks like blue sky crystal meth and the phone call
0:42 Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
I enjoy this movie and am totally not biased in any shape or form
/s
Mmmmm Disney.... That's that good shit 💯
Saw this last night. Awesome movie. The theatre i went to was 99% adults. There was two kids it was awesome!!!
This movie was sooooo good. A much smarter film than I anticipated.
I honestly thought you were gonna say this movie is awesometacular. I honestly think this movie is now my new favorite disney movie.
I now remembered why I subscribed this channel. You do such an amazing job at this.
The lower case, "movie review" is bothering me..
ur a bitch bro
Azamat Bagatov A female.. dog? That doesn't make any sense mate.
Sharath SH
youre unfunny as fuck bro
Azamat Bagatov Again, that doesn't make any sense, logically speaking. Besides, I already know that I'm pretty funny, I don't care what you think.
And add to your characteristics as well as being narcissistic and egotistical who has a unadulterated ego full of himself piece a shit.
*LILO AND STITCH BITCH!* Sorry I had to. Bitch rhymes with Stitch.
2. *Emperors New Groove*
3. *Treasure Planet*
4. *Brother Bear*
5. *Meet the Robinsons* (Everything that *Tomorrowland* should have been but failed)
and lastly *Big Hero 6*. Yes I liked it more than Wreck it Ralph and Frozen. Sue me.
I liked Frozen, but Big Hero 6 is just better to me!
I loved this movie, I was surprised to find full houses in my country, usually adults don't enjoy animation, but Zootopia is definitely an exception
Watched this with my son. IT WAS AWESOME!
JEREMY PLEASEEEEE REVIEW "WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE" , ITS AN AMAZINGGGG MOVIEEEE!!!
Favorite Disney movie post 2000: Wreck it Ralph.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Stop
***** What?
Omg yes. That's literally the only Disney movie I can rewatch and always have a good time .
DeepEye1994 Whoops, I replied to the wrong comment with my shitty phone.
just watched this on netflix, I am a not a massive movie guy, but this was really good, like surprisingly good. Jason Bateman as the fox was super cool, and the Bunny was smart and just as good. The chemistry is top notch. this is a must watch, also the scene with the weasel selling movies, hilarious.
Still 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with 46 critics so far. How long before some asshole rates it rotten and ruins perfection?
+Sébastien Laberge It's only a matter of time. :P
Thank you for the inspiration friend
I remember it took about 70 reviews for Star Wars 7 to become rotten by some reviewer named Roger Moore(what a coincidence)
+A Canadian is an American
+The WattPad Reviewer I actually agree with that. So should be called every inhabitant of the American continent.
Actually Jeremy it's March, just sayin
Maybe he filmed himself 2 weeks ago XD
I think when he filmed this it was February
+DoubleOscar He probably watched an early showing of Zootopia (how, i don't know), and with this movie just releasing a few days after March begins, it's a minor mistake that any one can make.
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT I KNOW TRAVIS!"
Ghostbusters trailer review ?
you got it lol
Oh no not that pile of trash....any thing but that...
Getting pretty damn tired of that stupid box that every second youtuber or streamer is sponsored by.
this movie was surprisingly good. plus the animation might be the best I have ever seen
damn lootcrate is everywhere
Yeah I hate it.
Did anyone not notice there are only mammals in zootopia
huh
Snakes and crocodiles are reptiles not mammals so they would not be in Zootopia or part of the anthropomorphization narrative.
I really hope they anthropomorphize reptiles in the sequel.
+Hayden TheNayobian who said there was going to be a sequel.
This hits different in 2020
Come on, best Disney movie past 2000 honestly better be Star Wars 7.
Wow. Solid point XD
I want you to DESTROY Zoolander 2. PLEASE!!!
Ur profile pic is the shit
He already reviewed it

Just watched room for the first time and I was so blown away by it and I cant believe you haven't reviewed it jeremy!!!! Please review room!!!
