Now almost 14 years later we have the veteran lynx and other insane vehicles we now categorize as EUCs thank you for bringing us the foundation 🙏 i love my veteran lynx
First time I ever saw one of these was back in October. I was sitting at the desk in my dorm room at night and looked out the window and saw someone dressed in a long grim reaper type outfit that appeared to be basically floating by at a rather quick speed... pretty weird stuff.
Tried one yesterday. It was surprisingly easy and not-so-surprisingly out of my price range. If you lived on a somewhat level college campus, it would be handy, but you'd be late for class every single day because you'd get stopped by people asking to try it out. And it's not fast enough to pretend you didn't hear them.
I just rode one today....super frigging hard to get used to....but really fun! Gave me bruises on the inside of legs by my shin....until I learned how to properly ride it.
wow, someone found a way to make a nerdier way of transport other than a segway. Still, it is cool that you can just pick it up and how little room it takes up.
Nice product! I could see this being very useful for those having limited space. Although It would jeopardize portability I could see this having a seat like a unicycle. It might make a longer commute a little more comfortable. Oh and for thous who think this makes people lazy perhaps you should be consistent and get rid of your car, bike, remote controls and every other modern convenience.
@InventistInc Thanks for the response. Like I said, cool tech. This application might have some interesting applications. For instance it might be fun for large shopping districts ,conventions, or festicvals. Those are places where people might spend all day on their feet with little chance to rest. A commute where this thing is practical is probably easier walked or biked.
Very innovative and clever idea. Love the portability and the price actually doesn't seem that bad for what it does. Segways are way more expensive and aren't nearly as cool.
Looks pretty cool but like what others are saying walking might be better :) What's the weight limit of it? It must have some sort of capacity to how much it can hold.
This doesn't seem so bad, but I'm worried about the Lithium Ion battery + Going up hill. Battery wise, is this going to be just like a mac book? After 1 year the battery deteriorates to a mere 1 hour maximum use? Also, What kind of Gradient are we talking about here? 45 degrees up? or 30 degrees?
I wonder how comfortable is if you have to do a 10 blocks ride taking in count you have to stay straight and cannot move your feet, dont you start cramping a bit?
Hum, seems to be quite heavy. Also, what if the ground is bumpy and not level? The guy at the end of the video... if arriving at the office is downhill, how can he wheel away when he goes home?
Great way to improve your skiing technique (knee flexing, weight steering etc). But that also means that if you have problems mastering skiing, this gadget is probably not for you...
cool idea, yet it still seems a bit too big. When it isn't used, the owner would have to carry it wherever he goes? I can't picture myself bringing it with me to school
las respuestas a las dos es aprender ingles entonces leer esto: Simply put one foot on the platform and push off. Your other foot goes on the other platform. Lean forward to go forward and lean back to slow down and stop. Twist your feet left and right to balance and steer. The motion is similar to steering the front wheel of a bicycle. Users can ride for approximately 10 miles, at 10 miles per hour, and the lithium-iron phosphate battery can be fully recharged in only one and a half hours. SOLOWHEEL batteries recapture energy when going downhill or slowing down in the same way the hybrid car batteries do.
Woa... good buzzword. Gives me ideas too, put a laptop slot into this and you have the advantage of pooling the collective battery power while also transporting your laptop hands-free (to and from work, school, etc).
I want to see it (a) turn--you know, really maneuver; (b) go uphill; (c) go near people (how well you can control this thing is a pretty important consideration); and (d) stop short without wiping out. And you might as well put on a helmet now--you know you'll need one the first time someone takes a header off this gizmo. Other than that, cool idea.
Hmmm, I'm conflicted as well. I'm sure it takes some balance, so that requires core strength. But I live in a city of hills, so I don't know if this would work...going up or down. And I don't know how easy it is to maneuver. All of these guys were coasting along on flat sidewalks with no human traffic. Not necessarily indicative of real life.
@InventistInc I wish I could find something negative to say about any of your products...give me some time...I will think on it for a while...and post back here if I do find any thing disparaging to say...:P
I'm sure it is uncomfortable as hell. Firstly, you must upkeep balance all the time, stand still and don't even think about scratching nose. Secondly, turning seems to be very difficult and slow, finally - it seems that to turn you must keep a proper stance and that means constant muscle tension which is tiring. On bike you at least sit.

thank you for bringing us the foundation 🙏 i love my veteran lynx
I totally saw a kid on campus use one of these and i had to look it up. Too freaking cool.

Great Job again Shane We here at ASE are always amazed at your products. Kudos to you Kristen Jin and the rest of the crew...
I just rode one today....super frigging hard to get used to....but really fun! Gave me bruises on the inside of legs by my shin....until I learned how to properly ride it.
It looks neat and like lots of fun. I hope it is a huge success.
wow, someone found a way to make a nerdier way of transport other than a segway. Still, it is cool that you can just pick it up and how little room it takes up.
It's definitely not nerdier. They aren't even wearing helmets.
Segways are DONE.
Because you can pick your thing up and jump in a car.
Or a bike.
Man, this is gonna be my "new thang"

oh my .. I would love to roll up to an event I'm dJing at using this toy.. looks awesome. :)
I'd get one. Looks like a fun ride.
Hopefully these will become a reality. Right now they are just to expensive to own.
Hi. I sell airwheel which is exactly the same product just cheaper. Contact me if you are interested.
Yay! Let's all stop walking. Forever. What a great prospect.
it's really nice, convienent, how can it break?
People invent things that don't need to be invented.
false
"I'm so lazy I need a motorized device to walk for me"
so all these videos are of downhill decents or right after a downhill decent. how much power does this thing really have?
@InventistInc Thanks for the response. Like I said, cool tech. This application might have some interesting applications. interesting idea, but it looks heavy. how much does it weigh?

Cool stuff guys, congrats!
finally a machine that does the moving for me
How is it uphill?
I saw someone in chicago cruising around on one of these! It blew my mind! Where can you ride them/ get them?!!!
@InventistInc It also costs 20x more than a bike, so why should I get one?
I see you guys all the time riding around our parking lot. Looks like fun but I would like to see how it goes off road
I'm reminded of that video game B.C. tires from the 80's (based on the comic strip). Who knew cavemen would predict how we travel
I wonder how comfortable is if you have to do a 10 blocks ride taking in count you have to stay straight and cannot move your feet, dont you start cramping a bit?
In the future, walking and running will be considered obsolete. Thanks solowheel!
Just saw this on the Weather Channel how do you pedal it?
needed a good laugh today, thanks.
any insurance compensate if people fall down on the startup?
will it blend, though?
Hum, seems to be quite heavy. Also, what if the ground is bumpy and not level? The guy at the end of the video... if arriving at the office is downhill, how can he wheel away when he goes home?
where can i buy it...i really want to buy it......
that was a hilarious line!
Solowheel now available to pre order in the UK
that looks awesome
Great way to improve your skiing technique (knee flexing, weight steering etc). But that also means that if you have problems mastering skiing, this gadget is probably not for you...
Looks like what the character "Thor" rides in the newspaper comic strip "B.C."
cool idea, yet it still seems a bit too big. When it isn't used, the owner would have to carry it wherever he goes? I can't picture myself bringing it with me to school
Hello, what is the price of imported solowheel to France?
HOW MUCH COSTS THE DRIVER LICENCE FOR THIS?
very nice, i would add some folding handles though.
How would you stop people stealing it?
Hey, how much would it cost? Looks really cool! Try not to let the randoms get to you haha. I'd kinda like to order one, if possible.
I'm getting one for my birthday
solo dos preguntas como funciona ?? y como se frena ?

are these bc wheels and if not what is the difference?
Woa... good buzzword. Gives me ideas too, put a laptop slot into this and you have the advantage of pooling the collective battery power while also transporting your laptop hands-free (to and from work, school, etc).
and how to you start/stop this thing?
I can ride skateboard, kick scooter, bicycle, can I ride it?
I'm waiting for the fall compilation.
I want to see it (a) turn--you know, really maneuver; (b) go uphill; (c) go near people (how well you can control this thing is a pretty important consideration); and (d) stop short without wiping out. F ing AWESOME! I want one. Really.
looks like a lot of fun around a campus.
It should have rocketpacks on the sides, for the uphill racing :)
if you walked into a shop with that they'd probably tackle you to floor and call the bomb squad
Finally, the last thing I need to become Gizmoduck
What about ascending and descending terrain?
Take my Money! I want one!!!!
i have bad knees so i could justify this purchase
Cost??

what about uphill?
HOLY SHIT! LOOK AT EM TURN!
Solowheel makes you look like you have to poop. Great job!
I can imagine this with a cloak and a mask, haha that would be epic
すげえ!!未来を感じる。
운송수단이라기 보다는 놀이기구군요. 한대 갖구 싶네요. ㅋㅋ
UNICYCLE FOREVER! :D
enter those awesome skateboarding accidents.. :) lets see what this will bring
Cela a l'air aussi stable que mon père quand il rentrait du bar
an average day for a wizard's apprentice
@InventistInc
what... is the point?
Love it.
But can I do an ollie and grind a sweet rail? How about a kick flip?
I like it!
Must be fun!
Love it want one
i was waiting for a serious-faced hand-to-chin pose with no avail.
bike>this
Oh that'd be cool for if you've walked a long way already like half way across the city and want to get home without dealing with buses or taxis.
is it so noisy that they cut the sound from the video?
Hope it was cheaper...i loved it!
It's need and I want one of those but I really don't see a realistic use case for them cause we all have these two things underneath us called legs.
Any unboxing videos? how large is the box? anyone?
Looks really cool, but what about legal status, if you can't use them on public roads there is little point beside the concept value.
Children: yes.
Stuff: unsure. How sentient is this "stuff"?
I want it to walk as dracula, I'd hide it under the dracula's costume.
100 years from now, people will laugh. Never mind, I'm laughin' now.
And if i want to walk, did they gave me the muscles i need after years on driving on dis bullshit?
this istn amazing this is just cheerless.
These comments remind me of Henry Ford's 'faster horse' quote.
One more step to WALL-E.
