“You have good days, you have bad days, you can’t let it effect the pizza score.”
Everybody knows it effected the pizza score.
Nah, a 7.9 with that undercarriage and the admittance that you could argue for an 8 - that's an honest review. Anyone who thinks otherwise is new.
affected but yea
100% it was on the 8.1 side of the 7.9 - 8.1 scale. I told my wife right after he opened box it’s a 7.9 cause it’s really a low 8s but he’s pissed…
@@Lorenzoselas that’s exactly what I told my 3 girlfriends as we watched and enjoyed a neat bourbon
@@bobsaget675 actually, my girlfriend argued with my wife about the score.
My side chick said 8, girlfriend called it a noob score and my wife was angry because I was snoring.
If they don’t treat Dave well, imagine how they treat a random customer.
Wow that pizza looked fantastic! I think if they treated him appropriately, he would have given them at least an 8.3!
It’s really good. One of best in area
It's one of the best pizzas I've seen on his channel
Me too
The visual appeal of that pizza is 9.8. i got hungry immediately.
Lil too soupy
Dave can hold a grudge, pizza was in the 8s
I agree.
That pizza was stunning thats at least a 8.5
I agree it looked terrific and right up Dave's alley, but we didn't taste it.
Even the box is elegant.
Absolutely should have been on the 8s
1:00 Dave continues his tradition of guessing dogs' names
One cremated pizza. We should have a funeral for it
Been going to this place for almost 10 years. It's not burnt and it doesn't taste burnt. This isn't a boardwalk pizza with bagged mozzarella and pre packaged toppings. It has top quality toppings. San Marzano sauce imported and buffalo mozzarella, aged dough, etc. This place is ranked in the top 50 in the country consistently and recently 16th in the world by Food and WIne. But as soon as you walk in the oven is right there and you can see the coal in the oven so if he can't tell or taste the difference between this and wood fired he needs a doctor's check up.
This place is good (one of best in Haddon, collingswood, haddonfield area) and the guys are generally friendly. That’s a great score!
I moved away in 2005, are Finizios and Francos place still there? If so, how do they compare?
I am sorry what??? Genuinely friendly? If you really are a customer at this place, you will agree yes the pizza is fantastic but they treat the staff and app drivers like garbage. I am a long time customer. Nice staff? Most of the time, they feel annoyed you came in to tell them you are there for pickup. What planet are you from. The only reason to come back is the pizza.
@@gchsbus my experiences there have been good. I am from planet earth
@@Treyorrrr yes they are both there and are IMMENSELY better!! Bricco SUCKS!
Tbh best looking pizza I’ve seen on this channel
People think it's burnt. But it doesn't taste that way at all. Just ranked 28 in the US top 50 and 16 in the world by food and wine. If he can't tell the difference between coal and wood taste he needs a new career. The oven is in your face as soon as you walk in and you can even see the coal firing. He needs glasses too.
The owner is definitely going to restructure his business after this starting with a new staff.
NOT TRUE. I have been eating at this place for years. Pizza is great but the owner is a real douchebag. The owner would close the place before he made any drastic changes. Anyone from Westmont and Haddon Twp will chime in and attest to that.
Or change jobs completely. Like he'll start selling vacuum cleners or something
Gotta be the closest he's ever been to getting a dog's name right
Brunis pizza Hammonton! And Riccas brick oven pizza Hammonton! Brunis been around for over 70 years! Very old school Italian town you need to come
One bite everyone knows that’s an 8.6 without the bad mood.
When the crust is completely burnt is when he says it looks great.
Dave, saw you on Tucker last night. Good job, looked sharp!
If there's that much char and it's still floppy, just call it burned. I think Prez was generous here, but he tasted it, not me.
I hear that; nothing more frustrating than when you walk into a business and NO ONE acknowledges you. Everyone knows that cost him half a point, everyone knows the rules.
This is my pizza place in my town. Can’t say the service is usually this bad, and I wonder what happened. It is a great pie and definitely coal fired. On their good days I’d think it’s in the low 8’s, but can’t argue with the 7.9.
Everybody knows that is burnt.
Great looking pie, glad his ADHD didn’t make him walk out. Good solid score. Everyone knows the rules!
Pizza is late because they had to cook it more for Dave. "Burn the damn crust we need an 8."
Everybody knows the rules

Pizza cooks in 3 minutes
@@riptwan Not when the crust comes out that black it doesn't
@@RecallKnowledge yeah, maybe 100 seconds longer not 40 mins tho
I agree, it looked a little limp, and i heard no crunch, everyone knows stellar service works wonders.
Johnny's close to the name George. Everybody knows the rules.
"Can't let the business affect the pizza score"
Yet he inflates scores all the time because of a good story the owner has.
Best part of the review was sweet George ❤💕😍
He could have gave him a 2. I could tell that gorgeous floppy pizza is INSANE and they know it. A place like that can throw his pie on the sidewalk and not GAF. Love it! There isn't enough places like that.
That was the best looking pie I've ever saw on the one bite! Definitely A 9.1 if they treated him properly.
Pie looked legit
What do you mean properly? Making him wait like everyone else?
"Burn the hell outta it" - Owner
Dude this is so cool you rewied one of my joints holy sh*t!! I work and make lots of deliveries around that area and from that place.. dude I love their pizza place always super packed they are actually pretty good people man.. I'm sorry you had to experience that.. they're not even my people like I dont event know anyone in there but I know they made lots of good on me over the years and very kind friendly people yes it gets packed a lot and he's most times they don't say anything or conversate about the food at all but one of the finest places in the entire camden country area and really good friendly people at times.. they always hook me up like I said I don't even know any of these people I swear on everything but you gotta give some when it's due.. plus I think maybe frustration got to you a bit it's gotta be at least 8.1 8.2 the lowest in their prime in their good times mostly definitely somewhere 8.4 to 8.7.. great place that Haddon township with lots of good eatery and definitely lots of good fine kind friendly people and workers.. sorry your experience wasn't that man and I love everything about your show since day 1 big fan! Hope one day I can run into you in the streets man.. this was a beautiful thing to see! Let's go!! Let's go bricco!
Apparently they also sell paint to go
One bite, everybody knows the rules.
8.1
Actual 7.9
And this folks is why customer service is just as valuable as the food itself.... Bad customer service legit affects your appetite. This place robbed itself from at least a 8.2. Better luck next time. The owner must feel sick to his stomach that his staff let him down as he wasn't there.
One frustrated Prez, everybody knows his god complex was taking a hit.
What up homies
True facts: Prez gets inside, they recognize him and panic. The guy working the oven tries to nuke the pizza, so they are getting late.
I always wondered what he does with the leftover pizza. Does he throw it out? Sometimes I see him giving slices away.
he juss pee
That jacket is lit
Dave u didn’t want to talk to the guy in Chicago with the chicken samich. You would love doing a pizza review with me
Dave knows that was in the 8’s he just was salty about waiting. Looked like a pizza he’d really enjoy
They didnt stroke Dave’s ego enough…everybody knows the rules.
Low balled them ! Anyone can see that pies in the Freaking 8s easy peasy 😘😘😘
undercarriage was a let down and couldnt hold its own. oven too hot? still looked good.
That definitely looks like it’s in the 8’s
Go back to Oklahoma and try bakers Rodney’s and falcones
Not crispy but the crust was black yeah ok looked really good 7.9 is a solid score
If you ever make it up to the Minneapolis area gotta get punch pizza
Did you guys get permission to film on their patio today?

@michael cerrone that’s barstool!!!!!!
Its the most burnt outside rim of a pizza i've ever seen in all the hunderds of reviews, everybody knows the rules
true, char is one thing, that was just burnt..and I live in New Haven.

Who the Fuck wants Burnt Ends and Uncooked center???
I wonder...there is a huge difference between char (al a Sally's) and burnt. This looks burnt.
Sally's goes right up to the line - this place blew right past it.
*When the worker handed Dave the pizza you could tell there was massive tension lol*
I noticed that too. Esp being at the side of the establishment.
@@jimmybuckets5863 the very beginning after they showed the sign
No, he’s just another weird antisocial South Jersey residents.
I’ve worked in pizzerias, delis, bars; I get how busy it can get. But it always drove me crazy when co-workers would placate and appease customers instead of telling them the truth. Don’t tell them 5 minutes when it’s gonna be 20. And don’t be a dick about it either. They’re just hungry.
Twenty minutes? OK. I'll walk around a bit. Maybe run an errand. Tell me five, and five again, and again... not happy.
"Is that coal-fired?"
I dunno, but it looks like that crust is made of charcoal.
The customer service is all part of it, good personality bumps up scores and today it was a detriment
Someone got written up today
.3 or .4 deduction for sure
If the owner was here with good story, 8.6 for sure
That shit was burnt beyond recognition.
That pizza had mid-8's written all over it - but they F'd up BIG TIME by not treating their customer well. Sounded like it verged on rudeness. So, I agree with Dave docking them the points and keeping it in the 7's. Can't do business like that.
This pizza is really good!
@@patrick3926 It looked awesome - I'd 100% go there if I lived in the area.
Grease was visible...soupy look in the middle
Thought this was a pizza review and not a customer service review
@@sappo504 I would rather go to Little Caesars.
Black pizza box is sexy. Coal dust pigment in the ink?
You're right on. I've given Bricco numerous opportunities. But I don't go there anymore. They are wildly inconsistent, run out of pizza dough often and no one talks to you ever. I've waited over 90 minutes for a pizza on a Friday once. Once. They did institute a text system that messages you when your order is ready which helped that situation. But the pizza is good. But I can't wait for Tacconelli's Pizza to open a block away. And Trenos is 2 blocks away and has a brick oven as well.
Treno’s is great
Man idk if I just go at the right times but they are never too long and always super nice w me. The owner is awesome. It is what it is 🤷🏻♂️
Treno's is good
The pizza is massively, MASSIVELY overrated especially with Brooklyn Pizza being in Haddon Heights. Absolutely mops the floor with any pizza place in a 20 mile radius (in New Jersey)
I live right around the corner from this place and unfortunately, this isn't abnormal. An awesome pie--but their service is frequently sub-par and sometimes they're just rude. We usually get a slightly worse pie from other places in exchange for not having to deal with assholes.
Is the pizza always that burnt? I know Dave loves it like that but I think the majority of people would send a pie back looking like that. Char is good but that looked completely burnt
@@Gregmetsrl Not always. I've had a few pies less charred than the one in this video. But, they generally are quite charred at this spot. I like the char. But, yea I'd say this pie isn't for everyone.
Hey! I am from Westmont. Thank you. Fantastic pizza but you can agree that the owner is a real douchebag. Read my own comment and rant. THIS was no surprise and I laughed when i saw the review pop up on my news feed. I already knew that Dave would be bitching about the wait. I know you know. You stand there and wait while app drivers come in and told to wait outside like they are garbage. This guy would be out of business if the food was crap.
Amen Merlin, everytime I've come to Bricco I end up waiting 20 minutes for a pie and get dirty looks like I didn't just spend $30 on their smaller than average , slightly better taste than average pie
Right? now that I think about it, there is no warm greeting, or hospitality, its like they just point to a table, hand you a menu and plop down the water bottle.
Too well done for my liking. Crust seemed burnt.
its charcoal 😠that's the point
It looks good but the crust is too black IN COMPARISON to how it’s cooked on the bottom. Should be a like darker on the bottom and just a lil less heat on the top.
Nothing worse than a business that treats you as though they’re doing you a favour. Plus that edge was flat out burnt, not leopard spotted, just burnt. They’re lucky they got the 7.9 IMO.
Looks like they took extra time and manually torched the edge of the pizza after being pulled from the oven.
“It still is a business right? You have good days, you have bad days… you can’t let it affect the score” Much respect to Dave.
Yet, I guarantee he would have given it an 8+ if they would have treated him right as a customer.. lmao
@@uhhyeahokdude It didn't have enough crisp to be an 8. If you've seen anything he scores in the 8's the undercarriage looks a lot more done. I think he did them just right based on his normal review style.
@@rawbmar1166 This pizza had 8+ written all over it. I watch the reviews every day
@@jameslynch6698 So do I and I know that under carriage aint to Davey boys full liking. He didn't do them dirty.

as a person who is in the food industry, if the service is shitty, and the food is good, im not coming back.. if the food is shitty, and the service good, ill be back to give it another try..
Thanks for clarifying Luigi
Thanks Luigi!
I wouldn't go back to either.
@@earlyplays8810 firnly agree. I am a long time customer of this place. I hate the way the owner treats everyone and the employees aren't the best at customer service at all but i keep coming back because the overpriced pizza is really good.
If either are bad, the place won't last. r.i.p bricco
This place does actually have a coal oven. The pie looked good. And I do like char on my pie. I have eaten pizza before from coal ovens. But the char on the edges to me was too over the top. Not charred but actually burned.
That's not char. That is inedibly burnt. I guess it's good for your singing voice...as my father used to say.
Too burnt on the edges ..I was there !
For me personally I think customer service should be factored into the pizza score. Especially because people will drive an hour or more out of their way to go try a pizza that you highly recommend and driving that far just to be treated like crap is not cool
Hey buddy, I get ya . This is a product score though. This isn’t about how he was treated. Take care.
@@surfboard396 It's not a just product score and never has been with Dave. If he's treated like shit it tends to take away from the score and when he loves the place and the people he tends to bump it up a bit - and he's upfront about all of it. Same with most people. I don't go back to places where they don't treat customers with respect.
@@sappo504 exactly i dont know WTF the other guy is talking about... Dave did a review a few weeks back of the older gentleman that worked at the gas station that brought his own water and bump his score just for his story and how nice the guy was
Rating pizza not customer service. He had a sook because he didn't get the recognition he was expecting.
@@qwerto15 Portnoy factors in the attitude of the place. Is what it is.
We’ve only had bad experiences there. Everyone recommended it when we moved to the area. Ordered delivery by phone and was way more charred than yours looks and cold (over an hour after the delivery estimate time). So next we ordered and picked up. Could not get anyone to give us our pizza which was sitting on top of the oven with our name on it. Again tried to do a pick up, asked for “less char” and received a hockey puck. When we asked why it was burnt beyond recognition, the employee shrugged their shoulders and walked away. Would never recommend to anyone they eat or order from there. I am not surprised in the least that you received horrible service and communication.
Sounds like u should fire bomb the joint
I ordered pizza recently here in North Jersey, when I got there it was packed. So I waited in line to pick up I was told a woman had picked it up already and left. That's right they gave our pizza to the wrong customer. Strange considering you have to give a specific order number when picking up.
Try Treno 100 yards up the block

This pizza is in the 8s, Dave is pissed, everybody knows the rules!

Nah 8.1 at best... Everything he said makes sense ... looked wood fired .... uneven cook
@@joelm6631 I tend to believe 8.1 is in the 8s 😂 I agree with what you say though!
7.9 spite score 😂
Dave says that New Haven is Pizza Capital, but bro! New Jersey keeps killing it on the Score Board!
I grew up in Jersey, went to college in New Haven and now live in Manhattan. I will say New Haven has some of the best pizza anywhere, Sally's is the best I've ever had, but it's legitimately just 3 places that are all very, very good in a small area. In central/south Jersey, there are literally dozens of places with pies of that quality level. Jersey is for sure the true pizza capital.
Right and his highest score ever given was in Jersey. Whenever I want to order pizza there’s like 3 great places to decide between no matter who’s house I’m at. Jersey just has great pizza all over
New Jersey has the best pizza in the country. New Haven is incredible too though.

If the shop was friendly and on time it could have been a 8.2 but some people don't realize you have to treat your customers well and it comes back to you. I eat at this place a lot. Owner is a douchebag and the staff and the way they act are a reflection of the vibe and culture of the owner.

One of the best looking pozzas I've seen on the channel but yes customer satisfaction matters. If you are running a place open to public you need to treat them right. It effects everything imo. I've eaten some amazing things at places I just didn't like being In and never went back. It didn't matter how good the food was.
Is it always just a cheese pizza?

Rarely cheese 👍
Sometimes Hawaiian
