- Police in Texas are looking for a suspect who they say attacked a woman at a gas pump, robbing her of a backpack. Houston Police released surveillance video. They say a Chevy truck pulled into the station while the victim was filling her vehicle. A person can be seen getting out of the truck, sneaking up behind the victim and attacking her. Police say the suspect used a Taser, but the victim put up a fight before falling to the ground. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

It’s never a good idea to carry large amounts of cash, but I understand why she did. I’m thankful to hear that.she was not permanently injured or killed. I can only imagine having to relive that attack over and over in my mind!

The gas pump is one place where my head is on a swivel. I watch everyone pulling in and hanging out. If I see someone sketchy, I make it known that I am highly aware of them by my facing them and looking directly at them for a few moments. Street thugs rely on surprise. Take that away, and they will reconsider.
Same! I always scope it out before I even decide on the pump to use. Especially if I'm alone atm! 😳
This suspect knew the victim and what was in the backpack.
Why would the victim wear a backpack when filling gas. Most people typically leave backpacks in car. Nobody drives with backpack. Victim knew someone was after him/her.
I thought almost the same thing. That whoever did this knew her and exactly what she had in that backpack!

This guy was certain it was in backpack. Hopefully cops look for incidents between victim getting cash from business and her putting money into the backpack before driving off. Someone would have seen her putting money into backpack.
I always wear my backpack when I’m filling up gas. I can’t lock my doors cause it will lock the gas tank so it’s I leave it on the passenger seat with the door unlocked (which I never do) or wear it for a few minutes while I fill up the tank. My backpack is expensive and it carries my daily necessities… wallet, charger, medicines/ vitamins etc.
Who carries money like that?
