Hey Guy ,Some of the findings really show how great the 300 win mag still is as it keeps up with "new latest and greatest 300 prc " . I really enjoy your videos !
I have tried this in 7PRC and the max charge listed for the 195 berger isn't safe. In addition, I did some basic temp sensitivity from 82F to 36F and it dropped about 50 fps. Most loads with both the 215M as well as the cci250 had sds in the teens with charges weighed to the .02gr. I hope to test more in other calibers.
Thanks Guy, always nice to see you on the channel. With H1000 seeming to be harder to come by, I plan on trying out Grand with my 7 Rem Mag and 140/150 TTSX's. Looks like it should be a winner!
Thank you! Yes, I really want to try it in the 7mm Rem Mag with some 139/140, 150 and 160 grain bullets... Should work out well, according to the online data.
Im interested to see what it will do with 150 cx in my 7 mm remmmag the 7828 SSC is really good as we have talked about in past but it but always nice to have a back up

Why don't yall do a comparison of powders for specific cartridges? Say 5-10 powders in a 7prc and rank the velocity from hiest to lowest. so there is some better data out there.
Not smokeless But I’ve been messing around with black powder Using Toilet paper With Excellent results But In *tribulanttatiuos times Would A whole pack of TP be Worth sacrificing for A horn of powder?
Grand is number 162 on the Burn Rate Chart and Superformance is number 139, so Grand is a slower burning powder than Superformance, and better suited for the overbore type cartridges. Superformance is indeed good in the right applications.
I feel like we received no actual information we couldn’t have got from reading the marketing blurb in the Hodgdon website and looking at load data. No charge ladders, no acciracy data, only two loads with a single bullet. What even was the point of this video? It feels like little more than an ad and not a compelling one at that.

Thanks! I don't use the 300 Win Mag currently, but I sure have in the past - hence the 1980's 300 Win Mag dies - and it's a terrific cartridge.
Excellent information! We that reload appreciate you guys doing the base line testing for us 👍
Great video Guy. Please test with your 30-06.😊
Dang... I dunno if the ol' 30-06 can do better than it already does with Ramshot Hunter...

How did point-of-impact change with the temperature change? Thanks for your great input!

Midway USA has had H1000 in stock pretty steady for the last year or so. Just bought some. Although a little pricey.

Yewwwww always love some Guy Miner content!
I’ve loaded Grand in my 6.5 PRC and it gave me really good results with a 153 A Tip
Velocity.. Accuracy.. ?

@@rodger602 Thanks .. that sounds very appealing...
Grand is giving me the best velocity of all the powders I've tried in my 7 PRC and as good of accuracy as any of them.
Ramshot Grand has been awesome for me in 7 PRC. Ramshot Grand under the 195gr Berger EOL is yielding 2960fps for me, and .3" groups.
Sweet!
That's gotta be hot. Any pressure signs?

Just got 10lbs recently and loaded 100 rounds of 6.5 prc with Berger 153.5 lrht. Will see how that does sometime.
I hope it performs well for you!
Sounds like a perfect load.
Did you do test loads before loading 100 rounds?
Lools great when i look at hodgdons data on 7mm prc with a 195 EOL. Talk about speed.
100gr 25-06 going 3400 is nutty 👀 I might have to give that a shot that sounds like a freaking laser beam
Ya, that got my attention...
It does good in 300 win with 180 grain bullets and 7mm rum
Good to know!
I still have half a jug of LRT
But
Looks like GRAND should be more economical
With around 10 grains less per throw
I’ll
Probably order a pound.
Whats the Temp stability rating?

Good idea. Thanks!
Good info in an interesting delivery, but PLEASE! Adjust the volume of the intro and outro!!
i wish they would have tested it in the 6.5 prc
I suspect that we'll give that a try once we get some more Grand.
Bout same as h1000 I have tested it
Without Reloader 26 this seems to be the next best thing
would love to see that powder run in the 6 creed will be interesting to see if you can achieve the same kind of es and sd's
The trick is making your own smokeless powder. 😊 DIY solution. Make yourself supply chain proof from external circumstances. 😮😊
Not smokeless
But
I’ve been messing around with black powder
Using
Toilet paper
With
Excellent results
But
In *tribulanttatiuos times
Would
A whole pack of TP be
Worth sacrificing for
A horn of powder?
Like to see it used in a 270wsm. 145 eldx.
Looks great. Does it seem to be as hot as Staball HD & Retumbo? U.S.A. is great.
What COAL did you end up with loading the 225 in the Win Mag?
I think I’m going deaf , cos I gotta put the phone to the ear to hear anything, only the ads come out loud
Hmm, dunno what's going on. Plays just fine on my cheap laptop computer. My nearly 70 year old ears aren't that great either.
What about for 223?
can you test it in 280 Ai and 270 win ?
Maybe? We've only got a little bit of it.
I second the 280. I would really be interested in seeing how that does.
6.5 WBY RPM
How does it compare to the Superformance powders?
Grand is number 162 on the Burn Rate Chart and Superformance is number 139, so Grand is a slower burning powder than Superformance, and better suited for the overbore type cartridges. Superformance is indeed good in the right applications.
How's the temp stability?
I dunno yet. Good question. Ramshot claims it's temperature insensitive.
Are all ramshot powders made in the usa?
I don't think so.

Might be worth a try in 7mm rem mag ??
Definitely.
I wonder how this would work in my 280 Remington with 150gr bullets?
Grand would be too slow of a burn. You would be better with N150, N160, H4350, H4831
How would this work with velocity for a 7prc?
We need one that works like reloader 26 bc we can’t get it🤦🏻♂️
It should work very well with the 7 PRC. If I get some more Grand, I'll try it in one of Gavin's 7 PRC rifles.
@@guyminer3168
Okay great!
Maybe with a copper projectile 160gr
@@guyminer3168 I second that! I am interested in seeing some testing done with the 160 grain CX bullet. Thank you.
Im using grand in 270win with 150 get 3100fps
I thought it would work well in a 270 rifle! Thanks.
