when OT2 announced, I underestimated every characters' story, especially apothecary one (I played OT1 but only finished 100% Cyrus story, my favorite character). I was wrong. OT2 is really improved with more well-writing story, and tragic like castti's. can't wait for OT3 with more surprises.
Go finish Primrose’s story in Octopath 1, she has an excellent chapter 3 & 4.
Jesus... This ending did hit hard. Especially because of the whole dream sequence with Eir's Apothecaries and Cassti's words to Ori.

Castti's, Osvald's and Throne's story are probably the three darkest ones. The main villain of Castti's story (avoiding saying his name in case people get spoiled) and Father/Sebastian from Throne's are probably among the better villains this game has.
Loved to hear Bakugo (Trousseau) yell "die die die!" Classic Bakugo 😆 loved Casttis chapters 🙌

Not to dock on Alfyn the first Original Apothecary from OT1. I find this story to be a lot more better than the previous. The stories ending was definitely pretty shocking to say the least.
So… fun fact about the boss’s ability to prevent healing: it can actually be bypassed.

An alternate motivation for Trousseau could have stemmed from an inferiority complex (like what we saw in Winterbloom) in not being a good enough healer to match or surpass Castti. The only way he could measure himself to be better would be to create a poison so deadly even Castti couldn’t cure it. This leads to the poison rain and a similar outcome in challenging Castti to stop him.
They could even keep the relief mission epiphany as the catalyst where he got the idea from the same person.
It wouldn’t have fit his personality though, or at least before he met the moonshade order and became a psychopath.
Eh that sounds a lot like Harvey. I think what we got was perfect - An innocent and kind boy corrupted by the darkness in his heart thanks to teachings from a cult.
