Well, we call him "Dibu" in Argentina, from "dibujito". And that is also the way we commonly call cartoons or animated series. The reason is because there was a character on TV called Dibu, a cartoon boy who lived in the human world with a human family (put "mi familia es un dibujo" in google), and Emi looked a lot like him as a child, but now he's more like a heroic anime character to us, from Captain Tsubasa or something like that..

I gotta say, I think the save he made against Australia in the Qtr Final was equally as important. At the death of the game, I think it was Kuol who took a half chance with a low hard shot from about eight metres away that Martinez saved. It would otherwise have been 2-2 and no one would have faulted Martinez. But it would have forced extra time and who knows what the psychological damage would have been to the Argentines. Martinez team mates knew exactly how good that save was.
I was expecting the video to be about that save v Aus. The way his teammates mobbed him after he stopped Kuol’s shot, and the looks on their faces, shows how much it meant to them.
No way in hell. It WAS great save, yes! But had that ball got in, Australia would have tied. Had France scored, they would have WON THE WC! It was the last minute of the final.

given the context of this save, it is arguably the best save in the entire football history. although i can be convinced if someone knows a more crucial save ( and no, "san iker" doesnt count and dont ask me why, ask yourself!).
The same situation but different decision changed the fate for Argentina's gk position. Segio Romero is a great goalkeeper and was Argentina's default number 1 but he decided he would rather stay as ManU's back up gk, second to De Gea season after season while Emi took his chance and decided to prove his worth by taking transfer from a club like Arsenal to Villa just so he could start in games and prove his worth.
