Thanks for sharing this 😁 awesome
I never heard of this plant until this past spring. Imagine my surprise when I walked into my garden center and they they were! I got two of them and they are growing in my clear greenhouse with a 50 percent shade cloth on it. They are so pretty when they bloom.
Yes, they are so pretty with small triangle blooms :)
These have such a gorgeous color. Thanks for making the video. The information is very helpful .
You are so welcome! 🌺
I was really lucky with the stem where it blooms, it lasted for a couple months of everyday a new bloom. They only last maybe 12 hrs or so. I took pictures of each and every flower everytime it bloomed. Towards the very end the blooms were less consistent and sometimes it was every two days sometimes 1 a week until it didn't! I however keep the stem in dirt and now it's growing actually growing the leaves again.
do you have a link on the wood plant shelf behind you??? I like it!
Hi Dustin. Yes, I have several options here: www.amazon.com/shop/annasviolets/list/2LH7USRH9PGDU?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d
Video je jako poučan dali ova biljčica mora biti isključivo na suncu ili može hladovini. Hvala na odgovoru
I took one cutting form my moms garden just dropped it infront of my porch and it grew invaded the whole place now cant get rid of it 😂 i cut it but it keeps coming out i was thinking in a pot it would look better 😅
Pretty! I bought some purple heart stems with my moms birthday card money. (Yeah i still get birthday card money)
I think i had about 50% survival rate but i love them! The tiny puple heart💜
Birthday cards from greenhouses and garden centers are my most favourite presents :)
Don't cut the flowers like she does in this video! They keep blooming.
Do you fertilize at this time? Or do you wait until you pot them into soil?
Hi Anna
Hi dear Giovanni! Hope to see you soon again 🤗

On the longer strands that have all the leaves falling off, can you cut that up into multiple cuttings? My plant has one of those and three little offshoots. I was hoping the one strand could be multiple cuttings since there were so many nodes. 🪴 ❤️
I rescued a piece of this plant I found on a sidewalk at the time it was dark purple and even flowered for me while in water getting the roots ready for soil now it’s a very pale green growing long like urs at the end of this video I want to do what u did to make it a little more compact as I don’t have anywhere to hang currently so I guess my question is obviously why is it now a paler green with light purple underside of leaf although healthy and can this plant be trained to grow vertically. I’m limited on space
You've probably figured it out by now but the more light they get the darker the leaves get ☺️
@@daniellemeier9789 it’s in a south facing window I just think it needs to be outside to get that thick sturdy purple leaf right now it’s faded to a light green with a light purple underside. But it’s winter here may get a plant light over all for the rest of my baby s and this pain in my A … dramatic alocasia 😆
Do you keep the cuttings indoors or outdoors??
It grows outdoors starting from spring till late autumn, I bring it home only for winter
How much water does it need
Depends on your climate, time of the year... Mine stays completely dry for 2-3 days before I water it.
how long did it take the roots to grow in water?
Just a couple of days
It took mine a month but only because my apartment was cooler but beautiful at full growth
I've had them in water for over a month now and nothing happening
Oh, that's strange. Maybe try planting them without roots. Both ways are possible
I picked up a discarded branch about 8-9 in from a roadside and tried to grow roots in water. That was in October and the cold season stating. After a month, a new leaf came out but no roots. and then another leaf and another in following months. Now its 7 months and 6 new leaves but still no roots! I gonna cut the base and start as new. Do you think it'd work? Or shall I leave as it is?
Break it off and stick it in the dirt . It’s really no more complicated thank that
😱 NOOOOO don't cut the bud sites off this plant!!! Unless you for some reason hate flowers...? This tradescantia will bloom over and over again from the same flower if you leave it. 😢
Thanks for sharing this 😁 awesome
