Very nicely done. No nonsense, outstanding explanation through each step. I'd prefer blue loctite on the hub and caliper mounting bolts however that is simply a personal preference. Again, very nicely done.
This video was great! I was able to replace the front passenger side hub bearing easy with this information. FYI. You NEED a 35 mm socket for this. Also, I was unable to hammer the hub out. I had to use a 7 ton reversible Puller to dislodged the hub from the CV axle. Used rent a tool at O'Riley Auto parts for the puller ($90), torque wrench ($99) and had to get the wheel nut kit (109). All was refunded to me on return. Hope this helps someone!
Thank you for this! I’m definitely throwing away my car, it was super informative and you did a great job at showing us visual learners how to replace it!
Very through video once again. She’s so great at what she does, makes sure nothing is missed. I am watching because I’ve got a 2011 Jeep Wrangler and just want to have an idea of what’s going on. Someone give her a raise lol

Talk about detailed instructions. I've bought a couple hubs from A-1 in the past and videos like this are a massive help. I wanted mainly to here the mechanic say what size sockets to use. About to do a Jeep JK hub, and feel it will be easy after this video (ya I know, I'm not that lucky, but the video still helps).
I would replace those 12 point bolts too, they have 6 point versions available. I would also buy a Mopar ABS sensor to replace the one in an aftermarket part. I prefer to stay with OEM sensors and OEM for anything electronic. I always buy new hardware when I replace parts that rust (here in the rust belt). I replaced all the bolts when I did not steering linkage, shocks, track bars, even if ai drop the transmission pan, I replace all the bolts, or at least a good wire brush cleaning.
I googled the 12 point screw versus 6 point hex debate, and the answer seems to be they fit in tighter spaces and can give you more surface for the socket to engage without rounding off. I guess it all depends on the head size chosen. Thanks for making the video.

Interesting.... 12 pointers that are rusted out from being under a jeep are one half turn from being rounded. I swear I brushed one off and it immediately became rounded.
Thank u for the Awesome Vid I just did this repair bout an hour ago --Tourqued everything down according to your recommendations Now my brake light keeps coming on. Any idea why ??? Anyone …Bueller???
Replacing my axle shaft u joint. Good reference. Stupid 12 point bolts were so rusted that I needed to use a bolt extractor to get them out. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy new bolts with my hub, so my Jeep will be sitting on the jack stands for 4 days off.
1A Auto Parts thanks, worked about as well as one would expect for a 13 year old rust bucket. Had to replace the 12pt bolts. Unfortunately didn’t realize this until after I had to use an extractor to get the bolts out. Jeep ended up on stands for 4 day. Did use that time to do some rust remediation that I probably wouldn’t have done otherwise, though.
12 point given the same size have more torque capacity. Problem is more surface area for rust to do it’s thing. Also the part where she was about to hit the axle shaft with a steel hammer, yikes.
Excellent contribution and video. You lady are awesome and your work is very clear and useful. I live in Chile and following the detailed actions shown in the video I have replaced successfully both front wheel hub assemblies. Thanks 1AAUTO.COM

I’m just trying to find a video that relates to me for whenever I drive, I can hear a Flapping noise from one of the tires whenever I drive. I can hear it whenever I drive with my windows down and it’s can range between 20mph+
you damaged wheel hub, ok, if you want to replace it it's fast and ok, but if you want to dissassembly for example to change joint rubber, you cannot damage the hub.
12 point sockets are a plague in my opinion, In fact, using a 12 point socket to break my lug nuts deformed them so badly that they no longer fit into any socket and needed to be replaced
Question. I replaced my hub bearing assembly on the passenger side. After I finished the abs light came back on and I got a C1042 code. The next day (last night) i replaced the driver side as well. Some research said that that the signal strength between the two sensors (new hub and old one) could cause it. Since the driver side was old I figured why not. I still have that code popping up. Any ideas on why?

second video I have seen where nobody took the extra 5 minutes to clean and grease the caliper slide pins... while you had the caliper off anyway......selling calipers too I guess

You, my girl, are awesome. This is the best tutorial on a wheel bearing replacement I have ever seen. Hope to see more videos from you! :)

Outstanding video showing everything, no skipped steps, excellent dialogue explaining what you are doing and why. Thank you.
Very nicely done. No nonsense, outstanding explanation through each step. I'd prefer blue loctite on the hub and caliper mounting bolts however that is simply a personal preference. Again, very nicely done.
If you need to also replace the axle shaft, do you need to drain the diff fluid first? Great video and thanks!

No anti-seize on any of the bolts? Genuine question. Are they all dry install?
Should include new 12 pt mounting screws with new hubs.

I got 2011 Jeep Wrangler
Is it the same process for the rear wheel ?
12 point given the same size have more torque capacity. Problem is more surface area for rust to do it’s thing.

Well done but the axle nut has a torque specification of 160-200 ft-lbs, at least that's what alldata gives as a spec for a 2015 wrangler
Items you will need list, please add 35mm socket.
+@antonioherrera3537 Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.

Great video
Good thing it fell off she was getting ready to hammer on the axle threads lol
Jeep recommends that you remove the axle and hub as an assembly. I did not and now have a seal leak.
Are the rear hubs different from front? Thanks
Hi my gladiator is making a noise each time I hit the brakes at stop and drive on pumps roads u think this the problem the wheel hubs

LOL,its funny to see her beating on that bearing. I have done bearings all my life, I have yet to see on come out like that.
3/4 the way to replacing the ball joints.
35mm socket for the axel nut is not on your tools list...really need that
+David Himes Jr Thanks for the feedback!
nice work
Need to add 35 mm socket to the items you will need list

What size tires?
I would use a jaw gear puller to take it off.
At 13:50 I Would Change those bolts for Normal Hex bolts If that Vehicle was mine and use Anti-Sieze also Just Saying
great video!
A slide hammer is worth its weight in gold if those bearings are rusted on real bad

You install the splines dry?
+Johnny Ulster Thanks for watching! You can install them dry, but if it is giving you some resistance you can apply a small amount of axle grease.

where do you find a 13mm torx socket, I cant seem to find one anywhere
Wait you never take out the bearing? Its 10x the cost for the whole hub
