Sometimes the calls won't go thru or the text messages take too long to send. So the walkie talkie was the most sufficient method of communication I had with my friends during EZOO this year. So props to it. There will be people who don't particularly like it, but that's cool too. Each person has their likes and dislikes.

I was hoping you’d explain the distance it needs for example, you said you didn’t have your phone with you. Could you please elaborate?
I have cellular service on my Apple Watch ultra so I don’t need my phone with me to use walkie talkie feature! Example, while I’m on a run all I need is my watch with me to make calls or use walkie talkie feature! No this feature is not exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra! I am just saying I am using a Ultra in this video and wanted everyone to know which Watch I was using exclusively!

It’s a cool feature only problem how many people know enough people that have an Apple Watch and then out of those people that would use this . Probably just mostly families and even then maybe . I use to use the two way on the old sprint services for work and loved it was the best way to just get to the point instead of a phone call .

The walkie talkie is great.....for about 5 mins. Then you realize, you can just call someone or text them instead. 😂

Yes you will hear it right away! You have to toggle the walkie talkie off when you don’t want to use it otherwise you’ll get the messages instantly!

I use it with my wife for a short mini call, very very useful also when we both are in the house
In a real life scenario - in a mall, on a street, even on a beach with a breeze - the ambient noise would make this absolutely useless.
