I live in a place where we get a lot of snow and PEV is my mode of transportation. The EUC does exceptionally well in snow and slush with a knobby tire. Ice you have to be really careful but it's still doable.
I ride my EUC all year round in the Midwest - biggest problem is berms of roads where snow is pushed is where I would normally ride and people are very inconsistent with shoveling their sidewalks.
@@e-VRC My biggest conundrum in the snow with my V12 is too much confidence. When going it is fairly balanced and safe but the changing of the texture of snow, ground, or care can come upon you quickly. So as long as I remind myself to be slow and steady - I'm completely fine. Now my biggest problem is just staying warm enough while riding in the winter. 🥶
This was a great video. Thank you so much for making it. I might be moving to where it snows and I walk/bike/escoot every where. Looks like I need an ebike
⚡ *So wholesome and so awesome!!* Loved the openin shot ⚡ This is madness lool. You're a brave man 😂 your kid is even braver! 👏🏼👏🏼 I wouldn't dare try to eskate in the snow on street wheels 😭
Thanks! I got to say I was most worried about the ones that worked well due to overconfidence. I bet an off road board with the right wherls would be pretty good.
@@whatsupbudbud firstly I love my mcmv2. I can't believe it's considered a small wheel. The perfect every day wheel imo. However I think a fat tyre ebike with knobbly tyres would be fine as long as they're getting enough power from motor and rider. But the MCM V2 is so torque-y you're probably right in that a standard legal Ebike would struggle in comparison if the snow is deep 👍💪🤟🤟
@@e-VRC yeah, it's a small beast. :) Regarding ebikes and other types of PEV's on snow, I think euc's win just because there is single point of contact which, if the rider is not angled to the side, makes it possible to ride not only through deep snow but also on slick ice. Bikes have two points of contact so inevitably something will slip.
Which one would YOU like to ride if you had to travel in the snow?
I only have an EUC so that's an easy choice 😄. This video was very informative considering today is the first snow day of the year in my area.
He said the unicycle was almost as good as bike but he never shows that euc

What model do you use?

I was seriously impressed and this one is a basic one. I guess the biggest issue with all of these in the snow is unpredictability.

Lime (rear wheel drive) scooters, with normal tires, actually work ok in the the snow, once you get going. Either way, still better than walking.

Yeah those fat tyres are awesome.
My Bogist C1 Pro plows through similarly snowy roads here in Sweden without any problems. 👍
I should've used that one really, the tyres are off road but it wasn't charged up.

Ordered my bike now but still watch great fun
The EUC wasnt powerfull enough you should try it with a bigger one :)
I was happy to drop this one as it's so padded and light.
Looks like you didn’t lower the tyre pressure on the Engine Pro, it gives way better grip…
Yeah true. It gripped real well but it could be even better 👍
I put a knobby tyre on my MCM V2 and it just plows through deep snow like it's nothing. Don't think ebikes can do this at all.

Just not this one 😂
defo the bike 100 per
Wife very concerned not lol

Mostly no electric it's good in snow ( because of the temperatures) 😉 it's electric in cold it's less than "half life" on full charge 🫣
