Keep Up the energy. Two Questions: 1 Did you use any Bounce or additional Lighting when Sammy walked towards the Camera? 2. What Settings Did you Find worked Good to help you achieve this Look in Low Light on the BMPCC4K? And I say Rig Your Setup The way that's most comfortable for you to get the shots you need to Get. Keep Innovating.
Stone Fisted Props No additional lighting modifiers or anything. Just had the Pocket 4K on the Devin Graham + the vest and just running around. The settings i was pretty much wide open on the Rokinon Cine (24mm), lived around 1.5-2. 3200 ISO, looked better than the 1250. I was in BM Raw 12:1, prolly wont ever use that again, i dont like it compared to Q5. Im gonna be getting some new C Fast cards and reviewing those soon. 180d shutter and 23.98fps. 👌🏼 Graded it in DaVinci.

Dude, sincere congratulations on your first feature as DP!!! Can’t wait to see some of the process behind that. One day I’ll be watching your speech at the Oscars and I’ll say “oh yeah, I subscribed to his channel when he had 500 subscribers” and will feel snobbish about that :)
You got to wait until it cools down it's been so hot put down some water will be gone in no time but a really good tip I will try that in my next short film also of you ever need someone to assist you I am available I could use the Experience and I love the camera set up it's not crazy at all if it works for you then it's all good
Speaking of Home Depot (and not "looking like a film shoot") I wonder if the super cheap solar LED garden lights would be bright enough to add something to a wetdown night shot, either to add more "glint" to the wet ground or to fill in dead patches that you don't want to be empty (thinking about how the audience for a horror/thriller will be scanning the frame expecting stuff to jump out of the shadows - need to be careful about what is empty shadow vs. what isn't to manage the audience's "ride".) Also, I like that bottom mount BMPCC4k to keep access to the back screen - are you sure there isn't shake or vibration visible with a longer lens? Adding some additional bracing to support the upper set of rods would do a lot to make the rig rock solid! Is it appropriate to tell non-actors on a show to break a leg? If so, break a leg on that feature!
I'm thinking that moving the battery underneath would help with hand held stability, as opposed to having it on the back of the camera. But, I'm mostly crazy too so that might be why it makes sense.
the 180 degree rule is drawn when there is a second person in the scene that you're cutting between. If there's only one person as the subject, as long as each shot is at least 30 degrees different from the preceding shot you're fine. There isn't a 180 degree line to follow in this video. *technically the cat at the end, but he doesn't jump the line in their interaction. When he breaks the 4th wall (which you can agree/disagree with the choice... even though it was played more as a joke) it established a new line which he followed in their interaction.
@@JustinPhillip You're a creative guy. and i dont focus on audio at all either but i love your style man. You. It's not advice or even an opinion, i was just saying. I started out making skate videos also and saved 2300 over a year to get my first GL2. then to xl2, hvx200, and just ordered bmpcc4k yesterday. Still cruising your page bro!
Yeah man, wet-downs rock! Remember those ultra wet scenes in the original 'Blade Runner' ... Gothic Nòir at it's best! (worth a segment of it's own) ... Cheers man ✌
REDEEMED yeah i do that sometimes, that doesnt really work too well on the glidecam tho. Most the time i just lay the v mount flat, but its still a little high like that.
Keep Up the energy.

Thomas Donalek That’s a great idea! Could def pick up some cheap LED’s, the garden kind even and stick them in the grass somewhere! Thank you!

Awesome trick! I like breaking the 180° rule in low light 😜
JS_filming 🤣🤣🤣 Hey just depends on where the line is! I could argue this one! 🤣🤣

Sammy could be your brother! Good video great tips!
LOL someone asked us that before! lol
the thunder sound effect sounded like muffled onboard audio for the beginning, just to me but yea
Giuseppe Palumbo yeah that’s why im not an audio guy. Thanks for focusing on something that had nothing to do with the topic

New BMPCC 6K is out! What is the world coming to...
I have my vmount on the rail upside down so I don't have to block the screen.

People in LA don't look at you all stink eyed when you dump water on the ground? Although maybe thats the best use for tap water out there?
