I love this video. I would love to share this in a professional development meeting that I am having on August 10th for our IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysts) along with the template. I think it is important for everyone to have one of these for both internal and external networking opportunities.
Yesterday I placed a cold call. From 1 to 10, I was a dismal 5. But that lackluster performance motivated me to start digging for a better way up, and that's how I found this phenomenal content. Thank you, @ProfessorHeatherAustin!
I have been struggling for a long time with what is for most people a simple question. "What do you do?" due to the fact that what my wife and I do and how I use it to help others is not the conventional norms for most people as it isn't actually a job or one thing but we utilizing multiple platforms and connections. That being said I really like this format and believe I can tweak it slightly to work for us. It is simple, clear and short all of which is something that I was struggling with when meeting new people. After watching this video and looking at your worksheet I finally feel like I can put a 30s elevator pitch together. I was just wondering what I can say when I do not actually help anyone yet as I am graduating next month and am looking to land my first job.

Love the video, Heather! I have watched several of them and they are so insightful. My elevator pitch??? Well, I am going to have to rate it a 1 because I never really completed one even though I tell my clients to have one prepared.
One thing we also recommend is to make your elevator pitch sound natural, not scripted. For example, in regular conversations most people wouldn't say "I'm passionate about..." that already sounds like an interview answer. Instead, try words like "I really like to..."
