To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

What a Review Andy! Awesome video! I got a Oneplus 9 pro, do you think Oneplus buds pro could be used at fitness/gym/running/sport activities? What do you think about them vs jabra elite 7 active?
I must say... EXCELLENT review here. I most definitely enjoyed the content like always. These seem to ALL be good or great wireless earbuds. For me, I think I'd want the Jabra or Jaybird because of size & features. Which of those 2 would u say are the loudest & best sound quality?
I'm really surprised that the JBL were at the bottom with max volume and definitely the bass. These must not sound like the Reflect Mini NC & I woulda thought they would. Glad to know now. I think the Jabra would be my choice if I'm able to get them eventually
@@BJPerryJr yeah but I couldn't get a good seal with the JBL so I blame most issues on the fit. I'd pick the Jabra strictly for workouts only. Fit, bass, seal, ANC, all better on the Elite 7 Active. But the sound of the Vista 2 in general is more to my liking.
@@AndysTechTone I picked up the Vista 2 last night (as well as Liberty 3 Pro..lol) and I've enjoyed them for the most part BUT I'm wondering if I shoulda got the Elite 7 instead. @@BJPerryJr bass is definitely stronger on the Jabra by default so you might want to check it out if that’s important to you. I got a good seal a and a perfect fit with the Jabra as well but that’s just me
I actually don't agree with you when it comes to the Bose blocking out gym noise and music. My gym plays their music pretty loudly and I find out the buds block all of the noise out, or at least muffled to almost be non existent. I picked them up on sale and am pretty pleased with them but only if you can find them on sale. The sound quality is probably the best of all of these buds but the regular price is much too high for the lack of features and finicky double tap touch controls. I find the lack of ANC is not really an issue for me though, and Bose did just release new firmware that lets you use the left bud to launch a command.
Fantastic comparison review. Do you know if there is any difference in sound quality between the Bose true wireless and the older around the neck wireless/wired Soundsports.
I'm looking for earbuds for sport and do like your videos! I tried the Sennheiser CX plus, but they give me too much wind noise and stride noise when running, even on a not so windy day. Would you have any advice on eliminating these? Thanks!
Looking back at your videos, damn man never knew you ran ironman.. this is great, you can give good honest review with how all these headphones you review do at the gym/ working out
I never did an Ironman actually. I was training for a half then got injured and then other things happened too. But I’m still training 6 days a week only to have enough experience with all the earbuds I’ve got… 😉
Thanks Dylan. I wish I could tell you where the T-shirt is from but, honestly, I don't have a clue. And there is no info on the label either other than New Balance...
Thank u for another great review! Is there any feet thumping sound when u r running with the jabra 7 actives? I have jaybird Vista 1s and Sony sp800n and they both kinda have that thumping sound while running and I found it annoying
Great video! Thank you very much! Something to consider is the durability of the product. I’ve had unluckily a bad experience with Bose in this regard. For the bose soundsport after a year and a half they stopped working. Good to consider this before buying. Hope the other brands last much longer. And I am a big Bose fan, but in rearms of earbuds I am a bit disappointed.
Totally agree! Been through the Bose quiet comfort 2 twice within a year and it seems that they can’t get their Bluetooth connectivity problems for all their earbuds corrected.
Wondering if you have an iPhone and if so whether your Bluetooth connection to the Jabra Elite 7 Active was inconsistent. I really liked the Jabra Elite 75t Active buds, but had to return them because of consistent problems connecting to my iPhone 12. Hoping the 5.2 bluetooth version will help fix this. Thanks for another helpful/informative video!
HELLO, I’m struggle to pick Jabra or jay bird. Is jay bird still have issue w quality control? I heard jaybird quality easy to get Bad after few months
Great video Andy. You surely have a lot of experience working out with earbuds, the right person to ask for help. While reading your comments on this video I found a question from Alexander Hoffman (9 months ago) concerning my issue, which he described as "Schritthall" which translates to "step reverberation". I feel that sensation with every stride I take using the Jaybird Vista 2, something I never experienced before. I believe it is due to the total isolation of the earbuds. Obviously, you did not feel that with any of the ones you have tested since you made no comments about it during your review. Have you heard of this before? Any suggestions? Thanks, and keep doing what you're doing, you are helping a lot of us with these reviews.
Actually when running or exercising you can almost always feel or hear that effect to some degree with most earbuds. I never really notice it though unless it’s way worse than usual. It can vary from person to person based on the music you listen to, the ambient mode you are using or the fit of the buds in your own ears. And even your blood pressure I reckon and a lot of other factors. But again, if I ever experience something that bothers me I will always point that out in my videos.
Which one would you say is better purely for running and sports. The Jabra Elite 7 active or the Jabra Elite 7 pro, or is there another Jabra that is best for running and sport?
Hey Andy, thanks for the great video. I have narrowed down to two options between bose quietcomfort and Jbl reflect pro. Which one would you recommend?
Dude this is a great quality video, good job. Thinking about the Vista 2 because I work in a freezer so I need the most durable. Cause the change from freezing Temp to warm temp caused some condensation inside my galaxy buds. Hoping the Vista 2 will handle that type of environment. Thanks for the info
@@dgmlxcbl I finally decided for other, cause I saw too many issues reported on the vista. I´d ve wanted to buy those, cause they seem perfect, but I couldn't trust the brand
Great comparison man! Where would you place LG FP9 here? I'm asking because they're now on sale for 990 NOK (ca. 110$) in Norway for the moment, price much lower than any of these! Btw. watched your video on FP9 :) Would mostly use them in gym, here and there at home and outside
Good job , lad. I own JBL REFLECT MINI NC , which I like much. Whereas NC is just a name in it , the performance/ sound is brillant. The fit is exceptional , as well.
Great video man, i had the bose QC but i sold them in order to buy airpods pro because i moved to iphone. I regret it because am going to the gym/everyday and the airpods are not secured as bose QC. Do you recomment me to go back to the bose QC or give a try to something else? My personal needs is to have very good ANC and very good secured fit.
Nice review, but I was wondering which have better sound quality overall the beats or jaybird? And which of these two have the punchier bass(because you said beat have snappier bass, and jaybird has a touch less energy in the lower register,I’m not super sure what that means)?
The Beats have more weight and punch in the bass. The Vista 2 has a rather lean and snappy bass but the Jaybird app has great EQ settings. The Vista 2 might be more open and detailed in the higher frequencies which I prefer for casual listening but I found myself using the Beats almost exclusively for workouts recently due to that extra kick in the bass.
@@AndysTechTone thanks a lot, I will deferent check the beats fit pro out. I needed an upgrade from my 50$ jlabs and might buy the beats, ps. gained a new subscriber 👍
Ive been through loads of Jabras and love the sound/bass but came back to the Vista 2:s for that awesome fit in my ears. Had the same sensation with the Vista Ones... Now that im on Iphone how does the Beats fit compare to Vista 2?
After watching all your reviews I am now stuck between jbl and jabra. I'm leaning towards the jabra, but I'm worried about them falling out. As you've thoroughly tested them, can I ask, as a woman with small ears, which one would you recommend?
@@AndysTechTone Thanks for the reply. I also watched your video on the Jabra elite 7 active headphones. You mentioned in that video that they are smaller and fit better for you than the 75t, so I just ordered the them. Thanks for the videos & tips!
Fantastic review Andy, exactly what I was looking for. I personally love the Jabra for music quality but they wouldn’t stay in my ears. So I traded them for the Jaybird Vistas with their wingtips. Do you know if Jabra will offer their earbuds with wingtips in the future?
That was a really good video with perfect explanation. I boght sony wf-1000xm4 last week and I'm very disappointed. My old Jabra 75t are way better then them in terms of sound quality. I'm a heavy lifter so prefer loud and punchy music but sony lack them compare to Jabra 75t.
I just bought the wf-1000 myself. There good but not great sound quality. Not only that but they don't fit in my ear that great. Even just sitting or walking they fall out.
Hi thanks for reviewing. May I ask you which one is perfect for running? I worry about falling down from my ears. I like Jabra elite 7 butit doesn't have hook so is it stay on ears while speed sessions or long runs?
I got the most secure fit with the Jabra so I wouldn’t worry about it but of course your ears might be different. My other recommendation would be the Jaybird Vista 2
I enjoy base, however, my main concern is finding earbuds that will not fall out easily while running and gym exercises. Between the Beats pro and IP68 JBL Pro, which do you think would be best?
people don’t give the jab 7 enough credit and just stick to bose, beats and sony. yes good earbuds but we need to push these companies to do more instead of resting on brand name.
The Elite 7 Active are great but far from perfect. Bose keeps adding features to their buds through firmware updates, the latest Beats buds are actually quite loveable and Sony makes one of the best if not the best earbuds at the moment. Of course, it could always be better but I feel like these companies are pushing it enough.
@@AndysTechTone i find the Bose sports earphones are from a hardware point inferior to the jab. it seems you also agree with me in the video! lower waterproofing and not as snug fit. also no anc ( unless thats been added).
Looking at hardware specifications is one thing and using something in real life is another. All that said I can’t wait to see the successor to the Bose Sport Earbuds with an upgraded hardware
Im testing the jaybird vista 2, i'll probably buy the jabra elite 7 active to see who's the winner and then return the worst, do you think if i'll use the support of the jaybird without the wing the fit will be similar to jabra?
@@AndysTechTone dude, the jaybird were destroyng my ears, today i got the elite 7 active.....A LOT BETTER, better fit, better sound, way better control, returning the jaybird right now 😂

Great comparison, just a consideration, your style of presenting for me is great when the video is shorter, once exceeding 10 min I start loosing focus as it gets monotonous. I mean no offense, just it could help me and maybe others to benefit more if longer videos you become less monotonous. Or add more of the statical data in the video, to better absorb. Finally, thank you for the reviews+ well done.
Just sent my Jay birds vista 2s back. The app is useless with android and eventually the right bud refused to charged after a week. I cleaned it moved it for over an jour nothing. Plus the bass was lackluster at best.
Very nice video! I haven’t tried these buds other than the beats fit. My current drivers are the soundcore liberty 3 pro, I like these over the Sony Wf1000xm4 the Bose qc and the airpod pros. It was really hard to not keep the beats fit. I am liking the physical button over the touch settings buds are going to. Apple has that category perfect because of the touch capacitive controls. I think I still might go from the soundcore back to the beats fit. The sound isn’t as good but they are more secure and last longer and I feel the anc is better in the beats.
It all comes down to what you use your earbuds most of the time. Casual daily use? I'd stick with the L3P. Workouts and running? I'd switch back to the Beats. Or get something cheaper for workouts only...
@@AndysTechTone I have an active job and both seem secure but the beats are more secure. I work in loud environments and anc and battery life are important . I feel the beats have a more solid anc because I feel the soundcore anc fluctuates by itself even in manual. It’s definitely a hard decision since I just just the soundcore on a Black Friday deal from Verizon for $129! Here currently Costco is offering included apple care with the beats fit. So both have tremendous value right now.
Can you tell me what to choose between jbl reflect mini nc vs jbl under armor flash x? I can t find anywhere a direct comparation in terms of sound quality, Anc, microphone...

The only reason I'd pick the Beats would be the ANC. Other than that it's the Bose for me
Beats sound quality was better than Bose in your opinion??
@@S.D.82 Nope, quite the opposite, but they are close

What a Review Andy! Awesome video! I got a Oneplus 9 pro, do you think Oneplus buds pro could be used at fitness/gym/running/sport activities? What do you think about them vs jabra elite 7 active?
Thanks 👍 I’ve never used those Oneplus buds so cannot tell if they are good for exercise
No worries buddy, glad you found it useful 👍
Really great review, appreciate the honest assessment......
Amazing video watched all of it and this is the best review I've seen this year for earbuds
Thanks Max, much appreciated 👍
I actually don't agree with you when it comes to the Bose blocking out gym noise and music. My gym plays their music pretty loudly and I find out the buds block all of the noise out, or at least muffled to almost be non existent.
I picked them up on sale and am pretty pleased with them but only if you can find them on sale. The sound quality is probably the best of all of these buds but the regular price is much too high for the lack of features and finicky double tap touch controls. I find the lack of ANC is not really an issue for me though, and Bose did just release new firmware that lets you use the left bud to launch a command.
As always fit and noise isolation varies from person to person. Glad to hear you are happy with the Bose buds. I love their sound too 👍
Fantastic comparison review. Do you know if there is any difference in sound quality between the Bose true wireless and the older around the neck wireless/wired Soundsports.
I’ve never tried the Soundsports so not sure
I'm looking for earbuds for sport and do like your videos! I tried the Sennheiser CX plus, but they give me too much wind noise and stride noise when running, even on a not so windy day. Would you have any advice on eliminating these? Thanks!
Switching eartips might help with stride noise and playing around with different ANC and ambient modes might make a difference in terms of wind noise
@@AndysTechTone Thank you so much for the quick reply, I will try that with the next set I'm going to give a go.
This is exactly the video I was looking for!
Glad to hear that Brandon 👍
Looking back at your videos, damn man never knew you ran ironman.. this is great, you can give good honest review with how all these headphones you review do at the gym/ working out
I never did an Ironman actually. I was training for a half then got injured and then other things happened too. But I’m still training 6 days a week only to have enough experience with all the earbuds I’ve got… 😉
Nice - Thanks for the concise review! Odd question. Where did you get your new balance shirts? What shirt are they? They look comfy and a good fit
No thumping in my ears
Great Video as always!!!
Thanks Ádám 👍
Great video! Thank you very much! Something to consider is the durability of the product. I’ve had unluckily a bad experience with Bose in this regard. For the bose soundsport after a year and a half they stopped working. Good to consider this before buying. Hope the other brands last much longer. And I am a big Bose fan, but in rearms of earbuds I am a bit disappointed.
Rest assured, the Bose Sport Earbuds are fantastic durability wise.
I just bought a 13 Pro Max recently and haven’t experienced any issues yet but I haven’t used the Jabra 7 that much with the phone to be honest…
Great channel, Andy.
Quick question: Do you think the Earfun Free Pro 2 would be good for running?
Thanks Michael. I’m going to post my Earfun Free Pro 2 review on Wednesday but I can tell you now that they are great for running and exercising
@@AndysTechTone I look forward to watching!

Excellent video👍
Glad you think so, thanks for watching 👍
@@AndysTechTone Based on your review I'll give it a try to the Jabra, thanks again.
Great video! I love the detail

Thinking about the Vista 2 because
I work in a freezer so I need the most durable. Cause the change from freezing Temp to warm temp caused some condensation inside my galaxy buds.

Where would you place LG FP9 here?
I'm asking because they're now on sale for 990 NOK (ca. 110$) in Norway for the moment, price much lower than any of these!
Btw. watched your video on FP9 :)
Would mostly use them in gym, here and there at home and outside
I wouldn’t call the FP9 sport earbuds but they can get the job done. I like how comfy and small they are. For a lower price they can be a great deal
How would you compare the mic/phone test for the beat fit pro vs Samsung buds pro? which one do you prefer?

Do you recomment me to go back to the bose QC or give a try to something else? My personal needs is to have very good ANC and very good secured fit.
The Beats Fit Pro seems to be the best option for you. It’s secure thanks to its arch support, it has good ANC and it works well with iOS

I just did a 35 minutes video comparing the buds. I haven't got much left to say I'm afraid...

After watching all your reviews I am now stuck between jbl and jabra. I'm leaning towards the jabra, but I'm worried about them falling out. As you've thoroughly tested them, can I ask, as a woman with small ears, which one would you recommend?
The Jabra buds are the smaller of the two so between the two it sounds like the safer bet

I haven’t heard anything regarding wings on Jabras but I would definitely love to see those too!
@@AndysTechTone Thanks man, keep pumping out those awesome reviews!
Thanks 👍 sound quality is really a matter of personal preference but I know what you mean by the 75T having the extra “punch”
I just bought the wf-1000 myself. There good but not great sound quality. Not only that but they don't fit in my ear that great. Even just sitting or walking they fall out.

Thanks for the video! But there could be one mistake that Lypertek PurePlay Z3 should not have ANC?
It does not have ANC but it has a hear-through mode
Hi thanks for reviewing. May I ask you which one is perfect for running? I worry about falling down from my ears. I like Jabra elite 7 butit doesn't have hook so is it stay on ears while speed sessions or long runs?
I got the most secure fit with the Jabra so I wouldn’t worry about it but of course your ears might be different. My other recommendation would be the Jaybird Vista 2
In terms of bass, which earbuds has the boomiest bass ranking from first to last, and which earbud has the best overall sound quality?
Reflect mini
How do you think EarPods like the Sony WF 1000 XM4 compare to these EarPods when training? Are the Sonys still good when training?
The XM4 is not secure enough in my ears for workouts. Your ears might be different though…
Is Jabra 7 active a new line? I thought their "active" sequence was 65t, 75t, 85t, etc... 🤔
They started it last year I believe
I enjoy base, however, my main concern is finding earbuds that will not fall out easily while running and gym exercises. Between the Beats pro and IP68 JBL Pro, which do you think would be best?
The Beats buds are one of my favourites in terms of how secure the fit is but the JBLs are snug too. It really depends on your ears...

I don’t know. 5?
Che, los compraste al final? que tal anduvieron?
people don’t give the jab 7 enough credit and just stick to bose, beats and sony. yes good earbuds but we need to push these companies to do more instead of resting on brand name.
You have to try it for yourself to see what the fit is like in your ears
@@AndysTechTone dude, the jaybird were destroyng my ears, today i got the elite 7 active.....A LOT BETTER, better fit, better sound, way better control, returning the jaybird right now 😂
How is the button control for Jabra? Many opinions on hard press buttons resulting in pushing the buds into ears.. active 75T, a better option?
The buttons on the Elite 7 Active are easy enough to use in my opinion and the same goes for the Beats Fit Pro.
@@AndysTechTone Thanks Andy. I use a OnePlus 7Pro. Beats won't work out well . Hence checking an option with good build, sound quality and call quality which I can use at gym and cycling....
Thanks for your feedback 👍
