    To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

    You are spot on about the fit and sound quality being different for everyone especially the bass. I haven't heard anything yet that compares to the Reflect Minis for overall sound quality and I find the fit more comfortable with the Jabra Elite Active 75t than their new models. So on the bright side having the feeling that I don't need to upgrade for a while is nice. I also use the BOSE SPORT EARBUDS , although they have many flaws like poor ear detection, connectivity issues (sometimes they do take time to start when you plug into your ears) and no ANC in this price range, but when it comes to sound quality and fitting, I love these earbuds, they never fall off, and sound perfect for every song type....also they got a new feature for easily switching between multiple devices by pressing the button in the case.

      @@AndysTechTone The 2 best earbuds of this test are for me the Beats Fit Pro and the Jabra 7 Pro especially if Jabra really brings back the multipoint (although I would also have liked to see THE ADAPTIVE APTX to avoid latency problems and have better sound quality).

      That occlusion thing keeps coming up and I keep forgetting about it all the time. I don't really notice these issues during every day use so I cannot really rank them either. Sorry about that.The L3P is okay for sports but its a bit too big for me. But whatever works for you. Jabra is close to being the perfect sport earbud. Canadian runner's perspective here...
    Bluetooth connection is major issue with Jaybird Vista 2, both with the garmin watch (crackling) and my cellphone in pants pockets (connection drops and crackling ever 5min), which is a shame because I loved their controls, sound and app.
    I had Powerbeats and although they sounded good (controls were ok-ish... the double tapping to next track was hard to feel when running with gloves) as soon as the temperature dipped below -4c/-5c, they would turn off randomly (they're IPX4) and I've returned them.

    • @b.rhodes1342
      @b.rhodes1342 2 года назад

      What did you end up with?
      The Vista 2s seem like great, but ultimately failed potential. Built like a tank. The customizable fit. The custom EQ. But... Then there is the connection issue everyone keeps talking about. I mean it's everywhere. Then repeated stories of one earbud dropping out after 3 weeks. Apparently Jaybird Customer Service is non-existent, and there's zero indication they're doing anything to address the issues.

  • @mattmcgrath4253
    @mattmcgrath4253 2 года назад +4

    I would not recommend the jaybird Vista 2's to anyone based on my personal experience. I originally got them because they mostly had positive reviews and seemed to check all the boxes for a good price. My Galaxy buds plus recently died after about 1.5 years so I wanted something different that could potentially last longer. My first impression of the jaybirds was that they were very comfortable and stayed in my ear quite well. However, after using them for a day, I noticed they would turn off when switching between different apps. I'd have to either close and reopen the apps or turn the Bluetooth switch off and on. And after reading some forums online, it looks like several other people had this same issue. Some stated the issue occured after an app update, and that it was especially common with Samsung phones, which I have a Galaxy S10. On top of that, the touch/button controls don't seem to be very responsive either. So these 2 issues just make the jaybirds too annoying to use which is why I'm returning them. But I appreciate your video and so I might try out one of these other options instead. Thanks!

    I actually don't agree with you when it comes to the Bose blocking out gym noise and music. My gym plays their music pretty loudly and I find out the buds block all of the noise out, or at least muffled to almost be non existent.
    I picked them up on sale and am pretty pleased with them but only if you can find them on sale. The sound quality is probably the best of all of these buds but the regular price is much too high for the lack of features and finicky double tap touch controls. Great video Andy. You surely have a lot of experience working out with earbuds, the right person to ask for help. While reading your comments on this video I found a question from Alexander Hoffman (9 months ago) concerning my issue, which he described as "Schritthall" which translates to "step reverberation". I feel that sensation with every stride I take using the Jaybird Vista 2, something I never experienced before. I believe it is due to the total isolation of the earbuds. Obviously, you did not feel that with any of the ones you have tested since you made no comments about it during your review. Have you heard of this before? Any suggestions? Thanks, and keep doing what you're doing, you are helping a lot of us with these reviews.

    • @AndysTechTone
      @AndysTechTone  Год назад

      Actually when running or exercising you can almost always feel or hear that effect to some degree with most earbuds. I never really notice it though unless it’s way worse than usual. It can vary from person to person based on the music you listen to, the ambient mode you are using or the fit of the buds in your own ears. And even your blood pressure I reckon and a lot of other factors. But again, if I ever experience something that bothers me I will always point that out in my videos.

    • @AndysTechTone

      The Beats have more weight and punch in the bass. The Vista 2 has a rather lean and snappy bass but the Jaybird app has great EQ settings.
