Dr. Miles Neale discusses the Stages of the Path to Awakening (lam rim), a Tibetan Buddhist roadmap of human development that proceeds from ordinary human misery to personal well-being, and from universal compassion to the wisdom of realizing emptiness. During Q&A he discusses the key skills of recognition and choice developed during mindfulness meditation, which are essential for achieving freedom from the unconscious cycles of stress and trauma.
Dr. Miles Neale is a Buddhist psychotherapist in private practice, instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College, author of the lam rim primer Gradual Awakening (Sounds True, 2018), and founder of the Gradual Path for inner and outer journeys. His forthcoming book is Return with Elixir: Pilgrimage of the Soul Through Death and Rebirth (Inner Traditions, 2024).

But, with respect, this is the natural outcome, once, one has meditating, regularly, for months or years. You DO, as a matter of course, exhibit more tolerance, understanding, patience and compassion. As a Zen, practitioner. You are, mostly, acting unessessarily. Putting legs on a Snake.
Just sit!!! Lol. And all WILL come over time..
