I tried them out a few minutes ago. Yum! Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas! With your help, I'm learning all kinds of ways to put my new toaster oven to good use!

I just got a new toaster oven yesterday and have made the sunny side up eggs (yum) and the blueberry muffins (yum yum), thanks Lois your videos are great! I'm looking forward to finding more on You Tube and also to viewing your art class videos as well. Thanks for doing these, I really appreciated it as did my family!
To be honest I would use a plastic container (Systemic) and poach the eggs in the Microwave. You can still season before you cook them but you have a better control on cooking time. Or I would add a little water to your loaf tin method to keep the top of the eggs moister?
Plastic? Not good for baking. Addition of water? Yes, that would work, but if you adjust your toaster oven for the timing your need for your perfect sunny side up eggs, you will keep your eggs moist and just to your liking!
I use a frying pan an my regular oven. I heat the frying pan, add the oil, then the eggs, wait a minute or so, then put it under the broiler. Same principle but the eggs cook in half the time and don't stick at all. Use an over safe frying pan of course, with a metal handle.
Haitham Abdulghaffar not necessarily, Frying your egg takes a few minutes of attention. Using a toaster oven you use less than a minute of attention to cook them
I love how the only reason I watched this video was to get the specific temperature setting and you mentioned only that you said it to toast. Why do you even bother making these videos?! Put some effort into it
@@LoisDeWittPalateandPalette Do it in the microwave, it's faster and looks prettier. 1 minute and you're done. You can even get the little plastic dish, that's how I make my son's eggs.
Thanks!

I love your encouragement! Thanks!
***** You're very welcome, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks! I live in a boarding house and the only thing i have is an oven toaster. Can i also cook spam there?
Yes, you can cook spam too! Start with a toast setting of three or four minutes. Hey, I want to try spam too!
@@LoisDeWittPalateandPalette thanks! Will do, continue posting cooking hacks pls😊 can't believe this video is already 8 yrs old😳

Wow, I just uploaded the video! Did you try the sunny-side up eggs already? I am amazed!

I did put vegetable oil in the pan first, but you can use butter if you'd like.
Sewing while making eggs here. Thanks 😎
You are so welcome! Check out my other toaster oven videos and keep sewing!
Frying might be a bit quicker, but compare the taste between the two processes and then tell me what you think!

Thank you! I'll try to cook tomorrow morning :o)
Yeah, and that's quick--but taste the difference and then tell me what you think!

I will try your method! I wrote my cookbook solely for the toaster oven, so the stove top was not an option--but of course, it always can be.
Oh my yes, I would say dare to compare!
I wouldn't try this as a time saver, but I am intrigued as to the taste. So next time I have eggs...
You are adorable.
Thanks! Gonna try them eggs?
In think frying those eggs is much faster if ur taking about time management

you sound like Phyllis from the office
+W Merc Aww. She must be a lovely person....
ITS ALL OR NOTHING KNOW
i did it 3 weeks ago and it worked! tnx@ im trying AGAIN/!
Analeigh Padilla I love to do these in the morning! Somehow they just taste better and look better than the frying pan eggs!
fryed more like scrambled ha ha
yikes! i like my yolks bloody, you know for bacon dip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is over-hard or shirred at best. sunny side is supposedto haverunny yolks.
Just reduce your baking time to get the yolks the way you want.
fail..

The toast setting is on most toaster ovens. What do you have?
Too long and looks like crap 😅
I agree I just about murdered those poor eggs getting them out of the pan!
@@LoisDeWittPalateandPalette Hey, you responded, woohoo 👍👍👍
@@DANT-E I think I should do the sunny side up video again and make those eggs look better. What do you think?

@@DANT-E Sounds great, however I don't have a microwave. I am re-doing the video though.
