That is probably why they chose invert instead of other model. It is relatively easy to put chain lift invert to a very compact space, as seen in other parks in Europe. Monster's engineering side is very impressive. I think that Linnanmäki's Taiga is probably more impressive on land use's side, since it's full size Intamin Blitz coaster with a TWO launches, which they somehow managed to fit it into VERY small space and a very small park. I have never seen such an effective land use as I saw on Linnanmäki's Taiga, and I was literally blown away on how that thing even exists in that space. But that said, Monster is a very good coaster. Not as good as Taiga in my opinion, but still a very good inverter nevertheless.
Knotts did a similar squeeze job fitting Silver Bullet into the tight space they had back in 2004, with similarly fantastic results (although I believe Silver Bullet actually packs in either five or six inversions, if a less scenery-intensive course)
Maybe one of the best SCENIC inverter in Europe at least, but not one of the best inverter in my opinion. Many other inverters just do "more", have more forces and have better element variety.
I remember seeing an article a long time ago where B&M said Great Bear was the most challenging since they had to build around many other rides and over a creek while also not being allowed to put footers in the creek at all
what a masterfully done layout in such a small amount of space. the location looks like it really does enhance the experience of the coaster, both in terms of thrill level and atmosphere. I’m sure it makes for some killer near misses and awesome views while riding. the amount of kinetic energy in this section of the park is incredible! the interaction between this coaster and the midway, this coaster with the other coasters, and all of the little nooks and crannies that allow you to get up close and personal with the coaster are really cool examples of some very creative and efficient design and engineering. not to mention the stunning location of the park itself - right along the water in the heart of Stockholm with the city skyline serving as a beautiful backdrop. I’d really love to visit Gronä Lund some day!
It is still wierd seeing it without a vertical loop given every other one does but it still packs a punch and has inversions, and how they got it into this small area is pretty cool, including the whole underground entrance thing. Also idk why people say it "looks slow or boring" not on this page but other POV's namely. I'm sure it's moving better since it first opened but it never seemed too slow to me. The park wouldn't want that anyway, given they have a vekoma suspended coaster too. Honestly in the future I think they should remove Insane and get a hot racer or RMC single rail just for something totally different from what they have given thats a spot where some space exists. Also seeing as no one ruined the trains they could probably sell it to someone easily who doesn't idk, want to pay S&S for a free spin.
IIRC they're actually expanding the park onto whats currently a parking lot on the north side of the park, and we know that'll include a new coaster. And interestingly the renders, while vague, seem to indicate it being a Vekoma tilt coaster!
Can we acknowledge the fact that this brand new B&M features Over The Shoulder restraints instead of their Vest Restraints? Because that’s pretty awesome that this new Invert doesn’t have Vests, I don’t hate their vests, but the Over The Shoulder ones are better
What impresses me more about this one is not how Grota Lund packed this into a small space, but rather that B&M was willing to take this on. It seems B&M is more of a manufacturer that would rather stick to its own standards. Haven't they turned down proposals before due to this?
I didn't like the restraints on this ride but other than that it was fun, especially since it had been 15 years since I last visited the park. Shame a lot of the rides were closed for maintnance, but on the other hand I got to ride Monster seven times.
This ride and the Floorless coaster at Tivioli Gardens are two of B&M's most impressive coasters in my eyes. Simply because of what they managed to fit into such a small area. Remember that B&M coasters aren't exactly small or compact rides that many parks have the room for. Don't get me wrong Nemesis, Fury 325 and others are impressive, but they have nothing on the real-life equivalent of an RCT player fitting a B&M coaster type into an area that they really shouldn't be able to fit one.
Gröna Lund did an amazing job packing in this B&M invert into such a small space! Then again, they did it with their other coasters.

Have you seen how their schwarzkopf and wild mouse are intertwined?

Probably one of the most scenic B&m invert behind Black Mamba and Nemesis
And nemesis is quite scenic diving through the rocks and tunnels
Maybe one of the best SCENIC inverter in Europe at least, but not one of the best inverter in my opinion. Many other inverters just do "more", have more forces and have better element variety.
Oziris too
tbh I thought of Black Mamba as well-themed rather than scenic
Love the drop and the rapid pacing of the elements in the compact layout make the ride seem longer than it is
For some reason this thing just looks mad intense.
ikr it has an unexpectedly really quick pacing
It's not very intense, it has a good pacing tho
@@eddycs195THIS THING PULLS 4.5 Gs !!! that’s intense
@@maincoasters what matters is how sustained it is, and this has some peaks of force but it's not as intense as Nemesis or black mamba
@@eddycs195 I thought nemesis was tame. Black mamba? Yeah that has some good moments.
Wow, these elements look so tight and intense. It really is a genius coaster design with a pretty decent duration as well.
I can’t believe b&m fit this somehow, this has to be the hardest layout they have ever designed
this, dueling dragons, daemonen or nemesis i think
@@jappie. yeah for sure and maybe silver bullet too, that coaster is surrounded by pathways
or even b mamba but i think the track was before the scenery was designed
I remember seeing an article a long time ago where B&M said Great Bear was the most challenging since they had to build around many other rides and over a creek while also not being allowed to put footers in the creek at all
i believe Gröna Lund is planning on expanding the park by quite a large amount to fit more rollercoasters!
It might not be extreme, but it's a masterpiece. Such a fun and well-executed ride

The station for this ride is beautiful
That’s awesome especially that 1st drop looks like you’re heading towards the water!!!😱
Thinking of the math and engineering that had to happen to somehow fit this ride here makes my brain hurt
This ride is like montu, theming wise it’s better, and it’s presentation is amazing!
The airtime looks great on that final hill omg
Looking forward to hearing your reviews
Supercool B&M! I like how the transitions are getting organic and fluid.
Inverts always seem to carry so much momentum and speed unlike any other coaster...I'm sure it's just the perception but always crazy
you get rlly good views of the park it seems. beautiful
very impressive that they fit this in such a small footprint
That drop looks like a gut punch!
Magnificent ride

That looks awsome.
The only B&M Invert without a vertical loop
pure art
It's even more incredible at night.
I love how it flys over the paths more than actually dropping to ground level. Was it forceful or anything?
And that break run is awesome ngl
Love this coaster
im cackling at the chattering than screaming
I can’t wait to ride montu on Monday
Nice pov 👏
See, Tivoli? That's how you work a B&M into a city park with limited space.
Looks awesome ❤
So so cool!

Accurate statement on turning down proposals
The ride is like a mini Raptor
One of those last hills look like u get some good airtime on it
Good golly miss Molly! Did B&M ever cram a lot into that tiny layout. The G's on some of those corners must be nuts.
The only non family invert from B&M without a vertical loop
Those girls where screaming their heds off😂
Wow those Swedes scream really loud!
The whip and the tight transition on the first drop looks so intense, how does it compare to say the batman clones?
So many near misses. Looks like the front is a must ride. (Probably for most inverts)
Front is definitely best row for all the inverts I’ve done
Yes. Front is probably the best place to be in a scenic inverter.
I didn't like the restraints on this ride but other than that it was fun, especially since it had been 15 years since I last visited the park. Shame a lot of the rides were closed for maintnance, but on the other hand I got to ride Monster seven times.
Lesssssss g0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0!!!
Haven’t got to ride this yet!😢😢
When is the Tusenfryd episode of Coasting thru Europe coming out?
Early next week!
Can you do a video on adventure world Perth Australia plz
Small cool thing about this that would potentially be a liability in the US: no nets underneath the ride where it goes over paths
is the review coming out soon
It'll be out sometime after we post our Gröna Lund vlog!
hey taylor and sarah i was wondering if this is how we roll will ever be released for free
At this time we do not have any plans to release it for free.
@@CoasterStudios okay thanks for letting me know
The very first B&M invert (that I know of) with no vertical loop.
P.S. The family inverts don't count.
when does the scandinavia trip videos come out?
and moster is a awsome ride btw i live like 1 hour away from gröna lund
The first one will be early next week!
@@CoasterStudios ok thanks
Does it feel like Banshee in how it has vests and no pre drop?
Monster has the hard restraints
@TCoyne193 Oh I'm stupid, I forgot they changed it, it was originally suppose to be vests but they changed thst decision while building it.
Aw inverts

0:51 is that grass on the roof of the building?
Seems like it. Grass roof is a thing. The park is named Gröna Lund which literally means Green Grove.
the ending brake run is like a noob planet co creator who finished the ride but doesnt align with the station😂😂😂
Idk why, but this coaster was pretty underwhelming for me... It was fun but it still felt pretty mid
This is why aliens don't come here. They see videos like this and realize our species is absolutely insane. 🎢
