Hey Ola, the certificate is signed by Japanese guitarist Jun Senoue who has been playing guitar for the Sonic games since Sonic Adventure. I picked up one of these guitars as well 🤘
Notable to mention he doesn’t just play guitar, he’s lead sound director for the Sonic series as well as a founding member of Crush 40. Dude is a legend.

drives me nuts that the inlays below the 12th fret aren't also rings. WHY????
Maybe they were too big to go between the way higher frets and they wanted things to stay relativity consistent looking? They could've made them overall smaller but maybe it just didn't look right when they were deciding the design
@@Umbruh_Prime or the just do the dot inlays the same colour as the bigger rings inlays. They could have been more creative and do the inlays in a wave layout by adjusting each one's height like other brands already do. But for this guitar it would make it look like a run Sonic would do.

Also, classic ESP quality control. I got my dream ESP last month and the handle on the case came in broken.
I just finished modding an Ibanez RG8 and replaced the original bridge with a Hipshot Ibby 8 ss model. When I put the thing back together, I saw that the two highest strings were not quite spot on regarding intonation...screw were a little too short, and the two middle strings were not high enough also.
Sent Hipshot a quick email and they sent me (very quickly may I add) replacement screws and allen bolts free of charge!!
All this to say that yes, sometimes screws can be a little too short and let go sometimes. ;)

Dude, the fact you had metal pieces, and a metal wire (string) loose in that box and you had no damage to the finish is amazing.

Had a similar experience with my most recent guitar. The screws that tighten the bridge to the body weren't completely screwed in and stripped, so I couldn't adjust the saddles. Really dampens the whole joy of getting a new baby, but it works out in the end :)
? Why does ESP/LTD put the volume knob in such a terrible place? Any ideas out there? The thing is almost touching the bridge pickup.
@@nickpep9730 I was thinking the same thing, all that room cause of no volume knob or pickup selector and they still put it right in the way lol

At first I was wondering why the headstock wasn't blue, but then I noticed the logo being white, and the shape of the headstock being like Sonic's shoes! Makes perfect sense to me if that is the case!👌
This is probably going to be the most scalped guitar in the year, because we can't just have nice things. Atleast people are selling the older sonic the hedgehog guitars on reverb for around fair prices.
So far the winner of that trophy is the Joe Dart Sterling bass :(

Ahahahahaah thats Awesooooomeeeee! Man thankfully it was just a string, thats nothing.. (once i had one guitar that came without hard box, soft bag and floyd rose bar.. they stole it at the customs) i loved the concept, and already have 3 ideas to color the drawings but sadly it has just one pickup, anyways id enjoy it anyway.. its on my guitar wishlist too
That pickup is shockingly good for an in-house. I shouldn't be surprised, since ESP started as an aftermarket parts company, but man. Sounds good.

I never cut the extra string sticking out of the tuner with wire cutters or whatever. Just wiggle it off. No sharp pokey parts to maim yourself with.

Fender Strats have the volume nob extremely close to the bridge pickup as well. It's not that hard to work around.

that pick-up is BRIGHT i love it
Add a standard capacitor 0.022 from the pickup to the output jack and you solve the shrill, or get a longer imstrument cable to add capacitance lile Paul Gilbert does. He does not have a tone pot as well on his latest RG signature
It could be the pickup is low inductance which means it's bright for a humbucker.
As soon as you started jamming it was like, “oh hey, Intervals!”
I was very disappointed when the guitar turned out to not be broken after all.

I have always dug the Sonic series and this one is by far my favorite! It sounds great chugging, but holy crap the clean tone at 9:21 is perfect!

I've never seen frets from any other brand so rounded and mirror like as in my Japanese ESP Snapper. They really go for perfection and you definitely get what you pay for.

Sonic gets some of the coolest signature guitars. I'd prefer the 2nd shadow variant with the custom headstock, but they're all sick

I’ve ordered dozens of ESP guitars and never once had 1 sent in a gig bag. And never once out of 100s of guitars I’ve ordered, I’ve never seen a saddle break. In fact, I’ve never seen a saddle break on any guitar in my 40 years of buying guitars. Not even on an inexpensive Squier or any guitar.
Lower the high side of the bridge a touch to tame the shrill. The biggest thing that would bug me about that guitar is the RED headstock. Lame because it would look sooooo much better if it matched the guitar. They probably mass produced that neck with the red headstock lol.

Love that Esp sonic guitar. Except for the pickup ring! Why do the guitar companies keep selling mid to high end guitars with the pickups being held by these cheap plastic pickup rings? Just throw some foam and springs behind that pickup and screw it to the body for God's sake!

So I haven't watched the whole vid yet...just the introduction where the guitar arrived with a missing saddle. I used to sell guitars in the mid 90's and if an instrument showed up in that condition, I'd send that thing back. I recently bought an Ibanez, never played it, never saw it, was shopping online. Now I have to fix it. I sure miss the days of music stores when you could play it and then purchase it instead of buying online sight unseen.
My fave superstrat layout -single bridge bucker and hardtail. Hate the clickbait tho.
Would've been cooler if they used the rings for the whole fretboard but the legendary Sonic The Hedgehog white dots are kinda cool too, I guess.
Sick guitar, but I think the Ring inlays should have been on the whole thing, with 2 on the 24th. Keep the 12th as it is. I'd still get one if I could afford it.

Fender released their Monster Hunter guitar for an actually reasonable price, and this Sonic one isn't too bad either tbh. Not really into sonic, but it is a neat look. I am so glad they didn't go crazy blue and red everywhere.
If the saddle was at the end stop then the guitar clearly wasn't set up properly, the fact it got shipped like that from a big reputable brand is kinda jank
