I made my first block yesterday ( I couldn’t wait to start ) and I love how it looks. I am also so excited because the block came out the correct size! I am so used to making half square triangles oversized and trimming down, so I was nervous that wasn’t any wiggle room! But each section came out just the right size. This is a first. 🙌.
Good day Jessica. The measurements for the piece, are they in a particular pattern? I am new to quilting and would love to learn and join. Thank you and God bless you!😊
Hello, I purchased the pattern and want to follow along. However, I have other fabric that I want to use. How do I figure that out? I have 8 (1/2 yard )prints.
Well, a 1/2 yard is 2 fat quarters so you have a total of 16 fat quarters. To make the large throw size, you need 18 fat quarters plus the rest the of fabric needed. To make the queen size, you need 23 fat quarters plus the rest of the fabric needed. So you do need a few more fat quarters. But then you'll just think of them in terms of fat quarters and follow the pattern.

Awesome! Thank you!
I'll definitely be making this quilt, but it won't happen until next year. Will there be a playlist for those of us who will be super late?
Yes, I'll make a playlist.
@@jessica_dayon thank you!
Great video! Is the difference between doing a flying geese and a half square triangle is the degree of the diagonal line for the point of the star?
Thanks! No, flying geese and half square triangles both use the same angle line across the middle.
@@jessica_dayon thank you!
Hi Jessica...did you ever finish/reveal your 2024 scrappy sampler top (did I miss it?) ? I'm still working on mine :)
I did! But, I still need to film it!
