This is awesome! I've made your meal prep pizza and your deep dish pizza so I'll have to try this as well. I like how you make real pizza and not just a "pizza" like how a lot of bodybuilding meal prep videos do. A healthy lasagna would be a cool video too if you need suggestions

This pizza looks amazing nick, although a suggestion id make is using a higher hydration dough for a even better crisp, also, u should try using a poolish for ur dough or biga it would make ur deep dish pizza even more flavorful but also more heathy on ur gut because using a biga an or poolish can make doughs very easy to digest for the stomach,myself I struggle with severe IBS issues so that side of using either of the two helps in my situation. Great video nonetheless!!
Another way to do pizza without a pizza steel is with cast iron. Depending on how much I want to make, and the type of pizza, I have 3 different cast iron I use. For thicker crust style I have a 7" pan for small "personal" pizza, a 14" for larger pan, and a flat round 18" cast iron pan that is good for thinner crust pizza. The plus to this is that they are more versatile than a "pizza steel", and should you want a crisper crust you can then just put the pan on the burner to keep cooking after the topping are cooked (or before you put it in the oven). The light oiling you would put in it to proof the dough also helps keep the pans seasoned. I personally like to add a little garlic powder and salt to that oil so the bottom of the crust has some added flavor.
The 7" pan is amazing for helping cut back calories because it helps with portion control, I was making personal pizza that total had around 1000 calories for pizza "cheat" days and didn't sacrifice ANY flavor so you can eat the whole thing and not worry as much about the rest of the day's calories as long as you aren't going overboard. With the flat 18" pan you can use it the same way as a pizza steel, but its also great for just about anything else like smash burgers or even lesser waffles "pancakes".

Having a winter storm that stranded us for a week +, better than beef bouillon and chicken version got us through it. That and having alot of onions, pickled onions, bell peppers, etc.

Never been to Chicago, so really the main thing I use to wanna go there for is the deep dish pizza. 00 flour is the best flour for pizza no matter where you live.
I'm way late to the party on this one but I've been going through all of your anabolic pizza/burrito recipes and think this one is fab. However, the reason I'm commenting is because I'm fascinated with your can opener. I couldn't find a link to it in any of the videos, did you get it from Amazon or buy it in some sort of specialty store?

Good stuff, but as someone from an Illinois pizza shop family, I figure I should offer up some trivia and let you know that this kind of pizza is actually referred to as tavern style generally. The name comes from the square cut being such a convenient finger food at the bar. Also, I absolutely relate to the dreams of good pizza after moving away.

@@danm8004 Yes, but he never referred to the thin stuff as tavern style, but rather as Chicago style, suggesting he might have thought there are 2 "Chicago styles" one being the Chicago style deep dish and the other not, when the thin variety isn't generally referred to as Chicago style at all.

Pizza aint bad. its the ingredients. if you use organic extra virgin olive oil, sourdough dough, organic tomato sauce, and raw milk organic 100% grass fed cheese, it is very very healthy
