Wow. I was referred for worsening headaches after a head injury. I’m really lucky that Dr Peter Soh at UNMC caught the positive Hoffmann’s reflex and ordered the MRI. Now referred to neurosurg and PT in the meantime. My PT is spot on with your recommendations with addressing the neck pain.

My initial diagnosis was through my PT today. It's terrifying when your body begins to detach from what you are used to. When I explained what I have been experiencing my Ortho doctor had me attempt to walk a straight line. Asked more questions about what I am experiencing and ordered testing.
I hope that you have a great healing experience that leads to full recovery 👍

Wow. This addresses my path to this diagnosis today. In 2008 I had carpel tunel surgery which was ineffective. As all the symptoms you named progressed, imbalance when walking, trip and fall injuries, incontinence and most recently, hand and finger numbness and tingling. I am still in process of testing. Thank you for your channel and for helping me gain further understanding

Thank you for this important video! Sure wish you were in California. I have spent 15 years seeking the answers you've given in this video. I'm going downhill really quickly now. My doctor told me all my symptoms were all in my head, which caused a delay in diagnosis. Have EMG scheduled now. Thank you again.

Excellent video by dr andrea asusual cervical myelopathy yes misdiagnosis may prolonged the neurological symptoms more and late identification via imaging this is " redflags" .because nonspecific simple lowback pain neck pain imaging are prevalent .but these vital condition has to be ruled out early to prevent chronic disability .yes surgery to prevent progressive neurological weakness ...biopsychosocial model plays a key role ....good one

I love this video! Well, I love all Dr Furlan's videos, but I suffer from chronic neck pain, so this clip is really useful! And ... Well, nearly every time I open a bottle, the little lid (tappo, in Italian) falls from my hand. When it happens on a train (I travel a lot for work) there is always some gentleman rushing to get it. Very embarrassing. 😂😂

MRI caught it in in C5/C6 and three thoracic disks in 2020. Neurosurgeon was rudest, meanest, ornery doctor who was of zero help. Cause, no cause at all, probably started in my early 40s.
In the process to try and get another neurologist who'll order a new MRI to see if it's worse or it's something else. If my GP will hear me. I've asked three times in the last year. I can only hope.....I've got polyneuropathy in full arm and legs and 1800mg of gabapentin isn't helping much. The recent move at work made is 10x worse...

Right now I am going to see the doctor and is it necessary to worried too much??. I have little bit walking difficulties and some time I feel like I’m am unconsciousness. My eyes are like a very sleepy mood. Could you please help me??. Is your surgery is opened one or minimal invasive??. Is it anterior or posterior surgery you have done?. How is the pain after surgery??. Is it going to be worse or reduce??. I have no server pain only mild and with tablets it is manageable.

Hello Dr. My neck is a mess. I've suffered many years. I was supposed to have surgery to replace 2 discs in 2022. Everything was ready to go but I was afraid and I didn't have it done. This problem has been going on for many years. I had several injections over the years in pain management to sustain quality of life.. The pain down my arms is excruciating, tingling fingers. I can't handle it anymore. I have been on a fentenyl patch for years. I am also experiencing excessive ringing in my ears, vision problems, and difficulty swallowing. And multiple severe migraines that last 3 days at a time. Now my surgeon left my insurance. I have to find a new surgeon. Is this the only option surgery. 🤔

Hello from Puerto Rico. I’m heading in for an MRI soon. I had one a couple of years ago with no cord compression from some significant stenosis.
Given my recent symptoms it sounds like I may have some Myelopathy. I am not asking for a diagnosis but about the time I felt some symptoms all of the joints in my hands where I have arthritis become inflamed and painful. It has been some weeks and the joints are still painful.
Have you heard of patients experiencing the same experience? Thank you…

When the preacher said repeat after me: I Marc take you Karen should have said I do “NOT” take you Karen. One little three word added in, could have stopped 38 years of a pain in the neck. 😂
