Really sorry the Stator decided to take a powder on you, but hope you have a good igniter still, since both these items are interrelated and one will cause the other to fail with the diminished efficiency of the other part. Real glad you got that RTV out of the filter sump basket, as that causes all kinds of oil starvation if the bits get in the pump or the passages that feed oil to the engine. Great seeing another one of your productions, just regret its under these circumstances is all. Very best wishes dear friend.
Much appreciated hun and thanks for your comment. All parts where thoroughly tested prior to the work so hopefully the engine should be good now. Least it's a good step in the right direction. Best wishes and ride safe :)
No scabs, no lost knuckles nor scarring, no 'screwdriver' nails all broke, these must be the hands of an angel, for they can't be the hands of no bloke! (How does she do it? - some magic potion? - asses milk? - Diet IrnBru?) Shout out for the lighting & camera work too - the lady's a marvel : ) x
Looks like a full day in the shed hun and a worthwhile one too. Top quality stuff as usual me dear, although it looks like you could do with a new copper/hide mallet :-)) Big hugs and love from a slightly chilly Hampshire xx
Another great comment thanks ma dear. The mallet is sentimental, a family air loom but I could do with new large sized open ended spanners lol. Love and big hugs from the very wet and cold Highlands. Take care and stay warm! :) x
You will get the GS450 up and running just in time to winterize. Did you see any pitting/scarring on the surface of the casing or housing of the oil filter? Can't figure out why 2 gaskets and RTV, oh wait a cycle jerk just wanting to 'Git it Dun". NO on owning a rat bike or trike, your just one of only a few RUclipsrs working on Suzi GS's which I do own. But I do enjoy your work and your ride out with your friends and showing us a more realistic / usable custom builds. Thank You and Take Care.
Such a lovely comment thanks. I feel honored your watching. No pitting or scaring on any surfaces which was good. Like you've said, the oil filter had definitely been bodged lol. Fantastic to hear your a GS fan, there great bikes! All the best, respect and ride safe :)
Great to see things progressing well RQ interesting do you torque the covers or is it not that necessary ? I don't think I have in the past probably as I never had a torque wrench in them days : D. great job cheers
Hi Mal and a great comment as always thanks. No I didn't torque the covers just did it by hand. Hope your own project is coming along well. Take care and ride safe :)
@@crumblymal8479 That's great news and I'm sure your doing a brilliant job. Slow and steady is good. We're in the same boat! It'll be next year before my gs450 is finished. The winter weather is on it's way and it's to cold to be outside lol.
It's a good idea. It's less cost, more fun and you can never have to many bikes! lol. You can adapt and create and put your own stamp on it. Find a bike that's cheap, rough around the edges but runs well and you can't go wrong! All the best hun and ride safe :)
Hey Lil Sis, top quality work! You're an inspiration. Peace love and best big hugs from the Springys !! 👍🏻☮♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Cheers big bro and such a lovely comment thanks. Every best wish to all the Springy clan! Peace, love and big hugs 👍😀
You did a great job on one of my least favorite things to do on my bike. Ride safe my friend!
Thanks hun and I know what you mean. It's more fun riding them than fixing them! Best wishes and ride safe :)
