Your movie choice of Kill Bill is spot on. My son actually bought me a Katana Sword for my birthday and it is displayed in my office to this day. I'm a huge fan of adding butterfly embellishments to my paintings and love the way the wings envelope this painting. Stunning.
She looks stunning!! Love your movies choices, I’ve watched Kill Bill Vol 1 multiple times (Lucy Liu and the animation sequence is my fave) and Mean Girls is quite literally iconic! Also Ursula is one of my fave Disney villains too and I agree with you about her song - I had always interpreted it as satire. Loved drawing along while listening to you chat and paint 💖

That animation sequence was my favourite too, I’d never seen anything like it before at the time 😍 her character in general fascinated me, she was unpredictable, powerful and like no other female character I’ve ever seen; the only one I didn’t want Beatrix to get revenge on 🙈 and I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks Ursula’s song is satire too 🥰🖤

It’s a tricky one isn’t it because art sharing pages can help artist grow, but if they didn’t exist at all then all of the original artists would get the exposure instead 🤷🏻♂️ and I’m so glad I’m not alone in loving Mean Girls so much 😂

My husband's family was living in China for a long time, back then they had limited chances to watch western movies and they also just watched Kill Bill over and over and over again, about 50 times, and they can still rewatch it to this day. I also personally liked Practical Magic, watched it a long time ago, though. I am new to your channel and already subbed because I find your art beautiful and you are such a good soul I feel like we are kindred spirits. If you don't mind me asking I would like to know what you do for work and how you can find time to combine work and doing art?

I work in product development for a bed linen company (I’m a buyer, but most people look at me blankly when I say that haha!) how about you? 🖤

I was asking because I want to eventually do art professionally (right now I am still at hobby level, though) and was wondering if there are other artists who are able to combine full-time work and art in their daily lives. Because I know as of right now I cannot make art my full-time job because I have to make ends meet and building up a following takes time. Unfortunately I just lost my job last month, so I am thinking about a new career path and it is hard for several reasons and also hard to find something satisfying that will not burn me out after a couple months (because of my past I am struggling with mild depression and burnout). My creative soul needs to be free in some way! Art heals my soul and mind. And that you are able to pull off work and art together gives me hope that it is possible! Also I admire your tenacity which is very encouraging. I really like your video content and am looking forward to more! (clicks bell icon)
I’m so sorry to hear that about your job, and I hope you find something soon! A more realistic piece of advice for on me is to still draw or paint every night but in manageable chunks and according to what energy you have left by the end of the day, so one night you might draw some faces in your sketchbook for practise, the next night you might colour one in, and the next night you might want to start a fully painted portrait and chip away at it over the next few nights, pace is everything in order not to burn out (which has happened to me a couple of times with balancing the job too), if you ever need advice on anything just hit me up! 🖤
Ahhh did you get any of the Agallo paint? I really wanted the Naturalle II tin but in between putting it in my cart and adding a half pan of Morellone, they sold out! Guess I was saved from myself, though I might go attempt it again whenever they do their next restock. I'm hoping you got the dragons blood because I'd love to see what you'd do with it.
Unfortunately ai didn’t! I was half an hour late for launch (messed up my timings 🙈) and what I wanted was gone, I really wanted their set of 6 cool and warm primaries, but alas, saved from myself just like you. I think they’ll have another restock in October maybe? 🖤
