i love watercoloring so much. ive made a few artworks from it. but i guess my main problem w this medium is the fear of messing it up by not being precise on where and how i should use the colors and brush. but watercoloring shouldnt be stressful. going w the flow is very important. i think this video really showcases on how you shouldnt fear putting a much darker shade into a lighter one or how your strokes should be precise, since itll blend into a bigger picture in the end anyways :)
i think a lot of this relies on being good at drawing first. even his sketches are accurate, proportionate, and a little stylized. he's probably done a lot of fundamental studies of lighting too
Don't worry Kira love art takes time and the time that you do or draw art your brain is processing so you just have to Belive a little in you and your hand which are gonna be doing the work. Get some motivation and you will get better who tf knows you might even be the next Picasso 💗🍄
as a Ukrainian that experienced very different educational methods here , I find it very cute when they say "please wait for the water too dry" instead of "wait for it to dry" . It sounds less harsh and provides a sense of respect from teacher to student)
@@janabroflovski2572 umm..not really. It depends on what u are comfortable with. I started traditionally and then digital but my brother started from digital itself..so it's not really necessary to start traditionally.
@@koalak5381 to be a good artist you must learn traditionally first because drawing digital is way different and it's Easier I'm telling you as a person who draws both traditional and digital and you can't call yourself an artist until you mastered the traditional or at least have a good base

Okay let's be honest, this is the only video that actually helped me a lot. People in other videos talk a lot and I can't understand anything, but this video had everything I needed to know about using the watercolors, however, I have a question, how many minutes should I wait in between using different colors? Thank you so much! (sorry my English is bad)
it just depends on how dry the paint is. When you are about to put on black you should wait for the paint to dry completely, and if you are just layering on completely you can made the paint a TINY bit wet to help with blending. To tell if the paint is wet or dry, take the paper and tilt it to the light. If you see some shiny areas that means the paint in those areas is still wet!

im still so amazed at how the colours looked so dark initially. and suddenly the colours don't seem as dark anymore when he started outlining with black @-@
thanks so much monex, during lockdown my brain couldn't keep up with the negativity of my surroundings and when schools opened up, i felt more pressured and that when i discovered anime. Eventually, i found out it came from japanese comic called manga. Since anime i was watching that time has still not ended and i just wanted to finish it i look the manga ver. on chrome and what catched my eye was not the story but of how it was presented, through art. after a while, i researched some of it and discovered watercolor and oil pastel, there this is where i am now.

this is so helpful!!! Painting the dark parts really is quite intimidating at first, but as I progressed it turned out quite fine!!

I am a beginner in watercolour painting. I immediately started doing lips and omg they are kinda turning out good. I took screenshots, but halfway through I got anxious and had to find the video back, hoping the paint wouldn’t dry😂 but I’m so excited
