  • There are a lot of Americans who are fascinated with traveling to Europe. Can you blame them, Europe is beautiful with a rich history and stunning old architecture. HOWEVER (and that’s a big however), the United States is home to extraordinary beauty as well. What it lacks in the historical/cultural department (compared to Europe) it more than makes up with its diverse and stunning natural beauty. From the beaches of Florida and the deserts of Arizona to the rugged peaks of California and the rain forests of Hawaii, there is hardly anything you cannot find in the United States. So if you are itching for travel, consider a trip around America. In fact, we humbly suggest you check out these 25 Beautiful Places In The United States You Need To Visit Today.

Honestly, everywhere in the States has its own beauty! Just drive outside the city through the countryside and small towns to find small attraction. And honestly, every national forest in the US is great to visit.

I really love the US- so much I want to see. I really enjoyed my time there this year- so positive and felt like I could really do my art/ music stuff there. I would go back there in an instant. I love the people. Feel like that living in Europe too. My spirit is alive like I can be my passionate self- really driven! I'm a natural born traveller/ adventurer/ creative! Viva US...

These are just a few sites, and most are concentrated in one region. The US is beautiful, and because it is such as large country, stretching from the tropics to the Arctic, you can find any type of natural landscape in it. There are tropical rainforests, temperate rainforests, deserts, high mountains, grasslands, tundra, ice fields, swamps. There is no type of environment you can't in the US, and that makes it an interesting place to roam around in.

G-man R-man I agree! First time I visited Sedona (35 years ago), it literally took my breath away. In fact a couple of years later, I got married there (outside wedding) at Cathedral Rock. Beautiful area. Went back several years later & it was getting too commercialized & too many homes in the hills.

As a guy from Germany who absolutely loves the US (not the government though) I somehow miss the USA even though i've never been there, it's like everything there is so familiar to me, but i never really saw it. My whole life i felt like i do not belong here to Germany. Sure, it is a great country as well and we have, compared to the USA, a much better system, but come on: The USA is unique, beautiful and diverse.
I think every city in the USA has something beautiful, optically, i even like Detroit more than that ugly Shithole of a town i live in. Germany is boring. I dream of traveling or moving to the USA one day. I swear, Americans should appreciate their beautiful country.

Just so you know, the average American worker receives an average of 10 days paid time off of work for the entire year (which often have to be used for non-leisure such as doctor visits and such). This number sometimes includes sick days as well. And around 24% of American workers receive NO PAID TIME OFF at all because it's not required by law. So even though Americans have such a nice country to explore, it's not exactly accessible for the average citizen. Our lives are work and unless you're in a niche, high-paying field or a very successful entrepreneur or already rich, chances are if you come to live here you won't be able to enjoy the country either.
Oh, and most of our towns are ugly, generic, bleak suburbs with no culture, history, or beauty. And the food is shit AND unhealthy.
America is a fantastic country to live in if you're rich or part of the RAPIDLY-disappearing and unstable middle class, but the quality of life is much worse than a lot of other developed Western countries if you're anyone else. Or, you know, if you're unfortunate enough to contract a debilitating illness, in which case you'd have to give up all of your money and savings and future stability to (hopefully be able to) pay for your own healthcare :)
I'd definitely recommend traveling here, but you should never ever move here unless, of course, you're rich or part of a niche field. And you'd have to be rich enough to be able to invest in the futures of your children as well, otherwise they'd be screwed.

Tahoe is not an alpine lake. The term alpine refers to high elevation ecosystem where conditions are too harsh for tree growth. An alpine lake would have no trees around it. In the Sierra Nevada, the alpine zone begins around 9,000-10,000 ft depending on where you're at. Lake Tahoe elevation is 6,225ft with plenty of trees around.

America is the most beautiful country in the world we have sub tropical rainforests, vast deserts, glacier covered mountains, volcanic scenes, and endless seas of trees and mountains. I live in idaho and im only a 20 minute drive away from the largest wilderness in the country its a place where the only signs youll find say " montana 300 miles" despite what many people think america protects its wild lands more than any other country the river of no return wilderness is 2.3 million acres of unpenetrable mountains where youll find only game trails there is nothing more american than our wildernesses

However, you're going to have to make a part 2 because you absolutely CANNOT leave out the California Redwoods (both state and national parks) and Crater Lake National Park. Not to mention places like Oregon Caves Nat'l Monument, Mammoth Cave, Lava Beds Nat'l Monument, and the bridge in Houston where the Mexican Free-Tails roost (theme is bats). Now you've got a start, so get cracking. 😎

I'm glad you mentioned Lake Tahoe but that you just mentioned it was not enough! It is 1/4 mile deep and because if this the color of the lake is a DEEP BLUE! There are hundreds of hiking trails all around the lake. Squaw Valley is just one of ten ski resorts in this area. I live at 6,550 altitude with the lake at 6,250 ft. Besides great fishing it is a great place to sail around or motorboat. The restaurants here are many five star rated many with the great views of mountains and Lake Tahoe! My kids moved here first that we moved here full time when we retired!

A tip for all going to Niagara Falls. DO NOT GO TO THE NEW YORK SIDE. You're better off going to the Canada side. The New York side is just disgusting. the Park is good but the area around it is not so good.

When they told him what was the most beautiful country in terms of landscape, he said USA. He had a thing for the West as well. The mountain range is beautiful and theres no other place in the world I rather live in than in the west coast.

Lived in Arizona my whole life, never been to the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, or Horseshoe Bend. Been to the Golden Gate Bridge, Sequoia National Park, and Thor's Well (Cape Perpetua/Devil's Churn area). Lots of great spots around the Oregon Coast. Spent many summers there.
