I volunteer to lead an art history workshop once a week for a class of 6-15 students. A few weeks ago I got sick and couldn't make it. The class was about Celtic knots. So I sent this video to the ladies filling in for me and they played it for the kids and had them follow along. I haven't seen any of what they drew but I heard they all turned out well. The other volunteers and the kids, and even a few of the parents were raving about how well it went.
One parent was telling me how her daughter never liked to draw before because she never felt good at it. But ever since that class she has been drawing non-stop. The mom said it gave her a lot of confidence and really just sparked something in her to draw more.
Many of the kids in my workshop don't like drawing and are only in the workshop to either get out of another class or because their parents put them in it. Having these easy to follow, step-by-step projects really does a lot to boost their confidence in their art.
So thank you so much for having videos like this available! Just this one made a huge impact on our kids!
