    Fabulous tutorial, easy to follow along and I paused only a couple of times. I don't have a tortillon so I used cotton tip to blend my 7B graph pencil.
    So impressed with the Zentangle. I'll be doing more of your 15min tutorials. Thank you

    I'd have to fill in all those gaps left around the gold borders. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my drawings, no matter if it's tangles, or landscapes. I wouldn't be able to leave white gaps on an otherwise nice piece!

    Kelli, I was amazed I did it the first time! 😲 Great instructions! What is the deal with the 15 minutes, if I may ask?

    • @KelliBlouin
      @KelliBlouin  2 года назад +7

      Zentangle is typically done over an hour or two. I wanted to give people an accomplishable little tile that could be done in just a few minutes!

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 Год назад

      When Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas first began teaching Zentangle, the emphasis was on a short drawing time, a sort of quiet little meditative activity, usually kept to around ten to 15 minutes at a time. However, as all humans do, over the 18 years that Zentangle has been taught, all of us who took it up as an art form very quickly began doing much more elaborate, time-intensive pieces.
      THAT is where the original concept of "15 minutes" came from.

    What do u do with ur tiles when u are done? What is a good way to display them?

    • @KelliBlouin
      @KelliBlouin  Год назад +1

      Great question! I have a video on my channel of fun ways to display them! Most of mine end up in little containers on my desk. 😆 I also bought coin collector pages that hold the little tiles in clear pouches!

      @@merelha5930 it's a very painful sight for a lot of people, myself included. My grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins were murdered by the Nazis.

      @@pearlshifer1776 I'm Dutch, I know the impact and meaning of a swastika or hakenkruis. This just isn't one (it only very vaguely looks like one) and shaming people for giving a tutorial on how to make Celtic knots isn't helpful in any way. I get it if you tell someone to stop if it is one, but this isn't and we all know it isn't. You can't just get rid of everything you think vaguely resembles a terrible thing, completely disregarding the intention/look of it.
      Again I get it if it's an actual swastika, but this isn't one. I also get not wanting to look at things that resemble it because of painful memories/emotions attached. But you can't just say 'this reminds me of and therefore you are a bad person and need to remove it from the internet'
