- The wind hurled biting snow onto Charan's cheeks and rocked the ski chair side to side. All he could think about was falling to his death. Charan had moved from India to Provo, Utah, when he was six. He’d never experienced snowy winters and dreaded the cold. After several years Charan learned to snowboard and was hooked.
During college he took an epic snowboarding class. One cold, very windy day the class went on a ski lift that was so old it didn’t have bars to pull overhead and place on their legs-nothing held them in the chairs. Most of the class had gone up the lift as the wind continued to swirl. The lift operator said, “After you three I’m going to shut down the lift. It’s just too dangerous”.
Charan got on and began to feel the wind rock his chair side to side. To add to this uncomfortable situation, he was 40 feet above the ground and headed straight for the huge lift pole. He knew this was a dangerous situation. At that moment he prayed like never before, and as he neared the pole, the wind stopped. He passed by the pole safely.
But when the next pole came, the wind blew his chair right into it. In a split second he felt a warm, peaceful feeling, and a voice in his heart said, “You’re going to fall. Stay calm.” His chair flipped backward, throwing him off the ski lift. Amazingly, he did not die.
Sometimes our prayers are answered the way we want (not to hit the pole), and sometimes the Lord sends His Spirit to comfort us (when we hit the pole). The Lord delivers us from our trials, but more often He delivers us in our trials. During times of uncertainty, often God’s answer is comfort and peace, giving us the strength to face whatever comes our way.

I testify to this message. 6 months in my first pregnancy, I and my husband found out that our baby has a congenital disorder and may not be able to survive. Because his case was 1 out of 6000 pregnancies, there was nothing the doctors could do to save him. We sincerely prayed for miracles. After a month, I had emergency labor and because of his critical condition, we decided to just let him come out. Few minutes after I gave birth to him, he eventually passed away. It is still heartbreaking. But our prayer for miracles did not go unanswered. Heavenly Father blessed us with miracles of peace and comfort to accept, courage to let go, strength to move on, faith and hope that we will meet him again and can be together eternally. These miracles might not seem like the blessings we wanted but they were exactly what we needed at that time.

That's the gospel. Jesus said, Ye must be born again to enter into the kingdom.(accept Jesus as your SAVIOR)

I have anxiety but knowing, better said remembering God is God changed and continues to change the way I look at life. Thank you for changing mine.
I have anxiety too! It is such a comfort to know that I can trust in Christ. I know that Christ always wants us to succeed and wants us to feel that joy in life that he brings us. I know that he will never lead us astray so I can trust in his will. These truths always help my anxiety. Thank you for your testimony! I hope this helps❤

The police recently knocked on my door to let us know my sister had been talking about attempting suicide. My parents had to take her to the hospital and I filled with worry now got to stay home and watch my other siblings and make sure they are okay. I have anxiety so this was very stressful for me. I in a panic searched l d s on RUclips for hope of comfort and was greeted by this video posted only 10 hours ago. I feel like it really was meant for me. (And everyone who’s struggling). You have to be grateful for even the trials. Without opposition and trials we do not grow we just have Jesus Christ and our father who sends the comforter and lets us know everything is going to be okay. Stay safe wash your hands and don't get lazy.
I've been dealing with crippling OCD, anxiety, depression and insomnia for the past 3 months, but never once did I blame our Lord for my suffering.. I see it as an opportunity to grow, and strengthen my faith.. God bless you, brother.. Good post

Yes we all do in our daily activities but God is there for us always.
@@thelegionary07 It's sounds like you are struggling exactly with the same things my daughter is and has been struggling with for years now. We'd never have thought that her bad OCD (germ related) would be helpful. Her problem is caused by anxiety and she has struggled with it for many years. Two of us in the family are at risk because of other health issues with covid. Her OCD and exceptional memory has helped keep us healthy. Despite her struggling for years what keeps her going is her testimony. Her help has come from the Lord. Even in this difficult time her weakness has helped the family stay healthy and she has grown from feeling that she is not just a burden. Her anxiety is more controlled lately because she feels helpful and more in control. Strange that this has helped her to cope better. Even her depression has been better because she is feeling useful. She knows Heavenly Father and the Lord are aware of her problems and instead of everything getting worse it's better. Serving in the family has given her a feeling of worth and a belief that everything will be alright. Life can be strange ☺️ Reading the scriptures and praying helps her a lot. I hope you find ways to cope just as she is. Always have hope and remember you are known and not forgotten. May the Lord bless you, help and comfort you. ❤️

That was amazing, about a couple years ago in Florida a place called Cedar Key my father and my brother were going out of the sea where the islands are they said after they say a prayer everything went cam, all all these things can happen according to our faith, I know that the Lord is with me and everybody else, Amen.

This is a beautiful testimony shared by Charan. At times we tend to think that the Lord will provide miracles in trials. I have seen miracles and the power of the Lord's hand in my life, yet not every trial was resolved in the same manner. There were trials where there was no relief, yet I felt the Lord nearby. The comfort and peace of the Lord is most definitely a blessing and gift. It is strength, and is hope that we can carry on despite the severity of whatever it is we are going through, in other words, the peace and comfort of the Lord is sufficient. Thank you Charan for sharing, and thank you Hope Works for another inspirational addition.

It’s true. My son passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. I have no idea why, but I do remember the peace I was given in the days following his death and that I still feel today. To me, this means that, even though now is not the time for God to answer “why?” that He is aware of my pain and that He will strengthen us through it until we are with our kiddo again.

beLOVED,we must always make sure that the Free Love we receiving from God is infinitely far more than the Love we share... a tree without water cannot bare fruit and is no good but instead it bares thorns and "if the salt has no more flavor it is then of no use". And the earlier message, remember prayer. I remember all the times that someone like my child had to ask, "did you pray about it," because they must have got tired of my complaints. Then there is that time when you are praying so much and then the problem goes away and you say, "nevermind Lord, false alarm!" but of course through prayer a solution can come before the problem. I hear you. I have been going through alot a trials personally during this Coronavirus stuff and several times I've felt alone in my struggles. However, even when I've felt alone for long periods of time and even thought God left. Something told me to keep trying to improve. I have failed alot trying to get over these trials and I'm still not free. The thing that helps me is knowing God is seeing me. I hope this gives you hope and that we both can become strong in Christ.
The Lord often works miracles by small and simple means :) I assure you the Lord has helped and reached out to you in your trials whether you've seen it or not. Often times it can be hard to recognize the Lord's hand in our life but its always there! :)

There are a lot of amazing things about God's plan that I readily accept and enjoy. However, I find myself rejecting his plan when I'm faced with a difficult trial, because I am uncomfortable. I've recently realized that I need to accept His WHOLE plan, the entire thing, not just part, if I'm going to find peace and happiness. When I accept His plan, I accept a beautiful gift of the Savior who, I know, has all power to help me!
