I am an 82 year old former Baptist minister and the son of a Baptist minister. I discovered the Restored Church of Jesus Christ and joined 50 years ago, I also baptized by father 4 months later and 14 family member which comprised 4 generations the 1st year. The Church of Jesus Christ is True and I know it and God knows I know it. Thank you.

Dear Ron thank you for your testimony and being a witness of Jesus Christ and his Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. My father is 91 and when both my parents heard the Gospel from two young missionaries they asked when they could be baptised at the missionaries second visit. They knew they wanted to be sealed with their young children for eternity. Kind regards, your eternal sister Tina from Australia.
Ron the RLDS or the FLDS are different than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
@@schulze420 RLDS stands for reorganised, not restored. Russel M Nelson often refers to the church as the restored gospel. That’s what Ron is meaning.

I just found this video. It made me feel better and it made me realize that I need to continue to talk to God daily to remember that I am a spiritual being having a human experience. I absolutely love that phrase. I have dealt with depression and anxiety since I was 11 and some days it is so hard to keep going . Dealing with the struggles of everyday human life. I am an over thinker so I worry about everything even before it happens. I need to learn to put my trust in God that no matter what happens he will help me through it. Thank you for this video.

i was listening to this video and i just wanted to cry. i have been dealing with deppresion and trying to find some sort of peace. People are always talking about peace and how its so great but what they never say is how to find it. Thank you so much. Now i know the way. Now i can feel peace

wow this is amazing. I will accept my lifelong depression as an opportunity creator for looking to and remembering the Savior. I love that part that talks about Him keeping His scars to remember us and we may do likewise.
Gongoozler I am hang in there. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for my whole life. I am 48. Your cross is real, and the Savior Jesus Christ is real and will help you. Don’t give up because you are a child of God. You will be healed, but like me it may be in the next life. It will happen. God bless you.
Depression is real, and it's hard, and only those that also suffer with something like it can fully understand. But your pain can motivate you. Let it! And be strong! Then use you growing strength to help others. We are at our best when we strengthen each other.
Try veganism, they say it heals mental struggles, you might just be allergic to something your eating. Just try for a week, what do you have to lose.

A true blessing filled my heart today after listening to this talk. I need not let my thoughts and MY ways interfere with HIS thoughts and HIS ways. I felt my true identity today, the last time I felt this was... long ago. But I recognized this peaceful feeling.
My setbacks and things I cannot change or (possibly change immediately) will turn me to him daily.
One of the best speeches on the spirit and turning to God. I have been living in the mind for too long. I keep repeating to beat myself up. I know God wants me to be happy. (Just like I want my kids to be happy.😉😇🙏) Thank you. 😉💛🙏😇

Great points, Satan is not the father of the mind which allows discernment etc. The conscience itself is the way we are allowed to be free and choose. Without the mind we cannot become like God.
I agree with you
I think by "mind" he meant "awareness and knowledge of evil." (mindfulness = awareness) The fruit Adam and Eve partook of gave them "knowledge of good and evil." Maybe he was making a shortcut reference to the fact that without the existence of evil, there could be no knowledge or awareness of evil, so in that sense Satan is the father/source of the awareness of evil. But yeah, I think there's room for improvement in the way he presents his ideas.
I love him and recognize him from his CD about an enduring love. I'd love to see more from him! he's funny 😀

It's amazing the juxtaposition and inversion of the opeing / closing line of "Houston, we have a problem." The Apollo mission ran into a serious problem, and looking to the source of their comings and goings (back to Earth) for counsel and instruction, to use the tools, the time, and then an accomplish what was necessary to get back home. The same thing Brother Townsend is sharing is that we need to send out a "help, ASAP" to Heaven (the source of our comings and going) for for counsel and instruction, to use the tools, the time, and then an accomplish what was necessary to get back home (to Heaven). And how many angels here and in Heaven are helping us and this human crew get back Home. It's wonderful!

I heard this a few months ago and loved the simplicity of its truths. About a month ago I started listening to President Nelson's talks, since he became a General Authority from the beginning. His 4th talk is called Self-Mastery. I reiterates this, remembering I'm a spiritual being have a mortal experience has helped me so much in my struggles to stay out of bed in the morning. I am so blessed to know what I know 😇

I pray that the difficulties I go through can help me to learn wisdom, and bring me closer to Jesus Christ, instead of choosing to be bitter against God, and mankind, including myself. He will never leave me, so why should I abandon a God who loves you and I so very much!

My dad put this talk on his mp3 player in his car and I’ve loved it ever since. I listen to it sometimes when I can’t fall asleep and have loved the message it brings, along with the funny stories. My dad has some scars from a previous accident with chimpanzees and he likes the later part of the talk as now his hand with only 2 and 2 halves of fingers reminds him to always remember Christ
So this video is about how we are spiritual beings having a human experience and that we are more than our bodies. Yet the whole purpose of this life is to have a body and become a whole soul with it.
I'm thinking this is an imperfect analogy. Can anyone help clear this up?
Flesh, in this life, is imperfect. The whole point of that quote, is showing that this isn't our home. It's temporary. Our divine potential, is far greater than this human experience. Our divine potential, is with a perfected body. But our mortal bodies, are only temporary. Does that clear it up?
First and foremost we are spiritual beings. We were intelligences and then spirits before we were humans. The spirit is immortal while the body is mortal (until after the resurrection). It is this combination of mortal and immortal that results in our human experience.
You don't have a soul. You are a soul. Living in a physical body. (India Arie) That body is not yet perfected like our creators but one day it will be. We will be more like him in form and function. As of now we are in our testing stage so not everything is perfect nor does it need to be for this time. :-)

Thank you for an exciting perspective and engaging presentation. However, I always feel slightly uncomfortable when we antagonise the mind, body and soul. We are all 3 at once, a great gift that many were refused. We are here to learn to harmonise these 3, sometimes conflicting sources of strength, which is the path to perfection.

All I can say is he brings up a excellent point and it makes sense!
Great talk, I agree with most of it but I do maybe wonder if it was a little hard on the idea of the body and the mind. The speaker made them feel like only temporary obstacles on a purely spiritual journey when I believe that they are a crucial tool for us to become more spiritual beings. This is why the doctrine that God has a body is so critical. He is more divine and spiritual because he has a body, not in spite of it. I am not trying to be contentious, just want to not get too hard on our bodies and minds either. They are also gifts from God and not simply problems to be overcome...
