i dont know why my row 8 and 10 won’t align 😭 i can’t seem to get the pattern symmetrical. maybe im doing row 9 wrong? do you maybe skip the chains when doing the sc?
Hi Simran D'silva, Yes, you may add sleeves. Wrap the bottom garment around your upper arm to estimate how many repeats you need for each sleeve. The pattern requires to work 16 chs for each repeat. Alternate the 2 body rows until you crochet the desired length of a sleeve. 1st row - h4ch, trc1, [trc3 into 1ch, ch1, sk1, (trc1, sk1) x 2, trc dec1, sk1, (trc1, sk1) x 2, ch1, trc3 into 1ch, trc3 into 1ch] to one last repeat; trc3 into 1ch, ch1, sk1, (trc1, sk1) x 2, trc dec1, sk1, (trc1, sk1) x 2, ch1, trc3 into 1ch, trc2 under chs + RC1 2nd row - sc to end + RC3 Then join/sew sleeve sides together. Happy crochet!
Hi Radha Sriram, In the first part of the video tutorial (interunet.com/crochet-vest-cardigan) I showed how to adjust the pattern to a different size by adding more repeats. You may also adjust the size by using a larger/smaller size crochet hook or thicker/thinner yarn. Happy crochet!
