Hello, I have a question about your videos. I know you show the references to measure each monster in its respective crown. But from what I understand, each monster has 3 measurements for a small crown and 3 for a large crown. In the videos which you show the first measure that meets the requirements for corona or the most extreme measure.
Hi, thats a great question and it seems that I clarified this in the german video but not in this one... For this video I was just happy to get footage of any crown sized monster. So it could be any of the 3 sizes on their respective side of the spectrum. In the new video for Sunbreak I made sure to only record the actual largest/smallest size, the most extreme measure as you said. It is definitely a drawback of the this video here that I didn't give the actual size of the recorded monster but I hope that it can still be a helpful ressource to at least get a rough feeling for the sizes you are searching for. Thank you for bringing it up and good luck with your hunt for crowns.
Yes, the ghillie mantle was one of my favorite things added in world. Being able to just observe the environment and the monsters in their everyday life was great and oddly relaxing. I hope they bring this mechanic or something similiar back, especially because it could be a very useful addition to the ingame-camera. There is a Ghillie Scroll for the palamute, why isn't there one for the hunter?
You're not the only one, i feel the best part about the games would be observations, watching the monsters in their own habitat. If there was observation missions added into the mission pools, i'd die a happy hunter
My goodness... the amount of work here and dedication it's incredible! I'm just watching the videos in your channel and are truly incredible! Very happy to have find you.
Already have 100% for World, I'm now using this just to see Narga's size difference for Rise. I've reset somewhere around 300 times and still only just got the Small Crown in the last 50 or so runs, still trying for large. At least now I have some point of comparison, so thank you for this!
I started working on the video about the monster sizes in rise (I'll get back to this when the pc version is released) But I already noticed that some sizes are not the same as in world. I hope that the video could still be of help to you and that you have found the crown in the meantime!
@@Aradoxas Yeah, I've got it now. But it is incredibly hard to tell if it's large enough, sometimes I felt it was, but got nothing. It was by chance that I got it. Somnacanth is a nightmare to tell the difference between though. I ended up fighting a majority of the ones I encountered and got both crowns today. Good luck with that one. Also, at least on Kiranico, the size requirements of World monsters in Rise is still the same, give or take 1-2 units. Might be something about the Rise style, or perhaps some minor alterations to the skeletons.
I finally did it. Farmed up all the Elder Dragons I needed, and got all the crowns for every monster after - even the ones I didn't need like Frostfang Barioth and Furious Rajang. Without this video guide, things would have been a lot worse for a LONG time. This video was instrumental in my success. Thank you so much for this absolute goldmine of information. I wish you a bright future, and may your pillow always be cold on both sides.
That's awesome! You even finished the crowns way earlier than you thought in one of your earlier posts. Thanks for letting me know about your progress, really made my day to see that all the work that went into this project was worth it. Enjoy the game, you're finally free :D
Thank you so much for this Hunter! Ive been hunting a few elder dragon Gold crowns since forever. Kirin being one that still need both for the plat trophy. Cheers hunter!!
Fun fact: The Skull of the large crown Diablos is a little *smaller* than the skull on a *small crown* Plum Daimyo Hermitaur... Yeah, something ain't right here. At this point I'm leaning towards bones growing after death in MH.
I think its gravios skull and lao monoblos skull in daimyo but still. The skull on daimyos back is pretty large even for a gravios.. maube lao shans skull?
I don't if it was just coincidence, but I got a lot of crowns doing the Events on High Rank, I got a trophy on PS4. There are a lot os this events with giant and very small monsters.
Had a day off work and got 3 crowns out of it. Only Namielle left for Elder Dragons, and half of the remaining crowns are 50/50's in Arena quests. Only full RNG crowns left are Scarred Yian Garuga and Silver Rathalos. Making good headway. Should definitely be finished before the end of the year at this rate :)
I have a question, hopefully someone reply I see on the bottom there are different sizes for mini and large crowns Does it mean people could have gold crowns with the sizes being different? As long as theyre that percentage bigger? How does it work? Can i get a large crown for a 2000 size monster and someone else also get it on a 1950 size? Is there a minimum limit that a monste needs to pass to get its crown and its not always the same exact size?
Yes, there are multiple possible sizes for every crown. The general rule of thumb is that if a monster is smaller than 90% of it's base size it's considered a miniature crown size and if its bigger than 120% it's considered a large crown. I made a google doc that showcases all possible sizes: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vMBXvL2mu0Y1eEcG2ehvulY8rAC_eypMpCmTq1J20M0

What I'd like to know, is how did you do this? Did you just wait for the largest/smallest size to appear randomly, or did you use a mod or cheat to make the monster the right size?
There are smaller and larger monster icons at the bottom left to indicate the size shown. Thanks for the feedback, I'll make that more obvious in the video for Rise.

I always feel that the small ones are more "real" somehow.
Probably because our real world animals are of similar size to us, in comparison to many other animals, humans are one of the tallest species on earth
The smallest Barroth is comparable in size to the biggest T rexes
I agree, especially in regard to the brute wyverns
