I just discovered that the Anjanath horn plays different melodies, instantly one of my favs cuz i miss being able to choose like in Iceborne

If u press R2 while sheathed n immediately hold L2 u can unsheathe fast without playing a note Dodge roll out of it

Nintendo unfortunately shut down the servers for 3DS and Wii U on April 8, 2024, so these quests can no longer be played online or even be downloaded, at least officially. The Japanese version of 3U not only had more event quests, but also more interesting collaborations that probably had to be changed due to licensing issues. The fact that PriMalzeno's HH finishes the melody of "Malzeno" is just a pure chef's kiss. Also was that a Flaming or regular Espinas that flew overhead during the ChaoticHH? I cannot tell the two apart at night.

So THATS why i havent been able to get all those layered armors. Man ive been on and off grinding the guiding lands. I just thought they straight up didnt exist until iceborne. (So much other stuff i was missing too. Im so glad the rise quests at least hint at what youre getting now)

Look what they done to rise HH. The simplified songs was one thing, but what really ruins it is the abridged moveset compared to MHGU. Rise only gives one type of "play" and no encores. A lot of those moves were really important to properly adjust positioning while whalloping the monster; especially the loss of the backwards swing mid-combo. It was unironically the most versatile move. Also they don't have unique sounds for all three notes. Went from most soul to least soul weapon class. One thing that Rise HH oddly irks me that I haven't seen anyone mentioned before is that every Rise HH always has red+blue+green note combination, while the old note system has all sorts of colored notes which gives each HH its own personality.

Wish that event IU can be viewed this way. my eye hurts every time I browse quest and checking the Monster Weaknesses.
